"You wouldn't kill for mercy, then?" She heard her reply. "I find joy in the pain of others, why would I me merciful?" She said with an emotionless tone.
"Who doesn't? Want to die, that is. I mean... everything you eats gonna kill you, everyone you meet's gonna rob you, and everything you do is wrong. So, whats the point?"
Tiffany watched as she waved her hand, then slammed her own down once she had finished, "Shut up! Dieing is inevitable, yes. But going around asking people to kill you is pathetic!" She glared at her as she asked for Vodka and angrily placed a bottle of it in front of her, "I wouldn't want to kill you even if I was allowed to! If you want to die so bad, why are you still alive?! If you didn't care as much as you did, you would have killed yourself a long time ago. Don't come in here and expect any sympathy because your woes have you suicidal. There are others here with problems too, but unlike you they put up with it and move on."
She let out a frustrated growl and stormed out the door to cool down, her waist long black hair swaying furiously behind her. She hated people like that, it made her cold blood boil. Her face turned red as she leaned her back against one of the trees outside and crossed her arms, embarrassed that she blew up like that in front of Tenma, "Some great Assassin I am for letting some idiot like that do this to me..." She mumbled to herself. "At least Rohjyx wasn't here to see that. Or any of the others either, I'd never hear the end of it."
She sat down, the light from the sun flashing through the gaps in the leaves dancing across her lightly tanned skin as the light breezes shook them around. She closed her eyes as she placed her hands at her sides laying them flat onto the ground before digging her fingers deep into the ground with little force. "Feelings suck..." She said to herself with a sarcastic smile.

she answered to the man. He saw life so simply. She envied him a little. She forgot for a moment that she was in an assassin run bar but it wasn't very long and she mentally slapped herself for letting her 'guard' down so easily. She couldn't imagine letting something suffer like that just for the sake of it, and wondered what dependence it was that decided whether he killed mercifully or not. She was curious but had the feeling that she didn't want to know. Besides, this topic was getting a little depressing anyway, and Xara was about drown herself in vodka. She figured she'd better be in a pretty damned good mood because, even if she had no intentions of rubbing herself off this planet, the alcohol wouldn't mind helping her along a bit. The redheaded woman with the green eyes stiffened a bit at the mention of the booze being free to Assassins. What was she going to say to that? 'Oh I'm a Thieves person so I'll pay my tab!" no way. So she smiled and shook her head modestly, "No no, I'll pay. You can buy yourself a new first aid kit or...something..." she said as she gestured towards the old, bloody thing. She folded her hands over onto the counter and watched calmly as the woman flipped out. She sighed inwardly. Her and her big depressing mouth. These people were insane. They acted as if death were no big deal. it's the biggest deal! Like the man said, life is all about being alive and trying to stay that way. But Xara didn't know anything about life and death, yet, having never seen anything or loved anything that has died before. She figured that they knew something that she didn't about this whole thing. She held the bottle in her hands for a while, felt its coldness, and shot a small smile towards the man. "I'm not suicidal I just have a bad case of not knowing when to shut the fuck up." She fished through her purse and pulled out the remainder of her loose change, which happened to be almost fifty dollars, in tips, and stood with the bottle and put it in her bag. "I think she's a bit upset: I should go. Thank you and, I-uh, hope your wound... you know, heals..." she waved awkwardly and made for the door. Get out, get home, get to Max. Tenma ignored the two, finishing his water and tossing it, uninterested, into the trash. He was bored, and tired, and his shoulder had this dull throbbing that for some reason bugged the shit out of him. They talked for a while, and then he noticed the girl put the money on the table. With a sigh, he pulled out his wallet and stuck the money in it. Why? Because part of his wallet was his money and the other part was bar money- they didn't have a safe for it or anything. He'd give the money to Rohjyx later or something. All his funds came from him anyway.
She mentioned something about a first aid box and his shoulder, but he dismissed it with a wave of the hand, muttering something along the lines of 'i'll be fine'. And put his head down, thinking. She hadn't told them her name. She was throwing around words like she wanted them to fight, even though the police activity was up and everyone in the area knew it. And to top it off, she paid for the booze. Either she was one very brave un-allied shifter, or one very, very stupid Thief.
At the realization, Tenma stood and walked outside ahead of the red headed girl, standing in the doorway facing Tiffany. "Cool it Tiffany, having emotions is fine I just prefer not to, it doesn't really matter. But don't you think it's odd about this girl? She's not in the Assassins. So she's really either one brave loner, or one really dumb Thief. What do you say Tiff, what we do next is all on you." Tenma said, his face serious while he stood in the doorway, blocking it seemingly unintentionally. His voice was toned down, so that if the girl was listening in on their conversation she'd only be able to hear faint bits an pieces. A prisoner of war, eh? It had a nice ring to it. The Assassin's didn't have any prisoners, but then again, neither did the Thieves. Vaguely Tenma wondered if they'd even be able to take prisoners. He scoffed. They were too soft to take prisoners, and besides, Assassins were tough; they wouldn't get anything out of them even if they did capture a few.
His eyes flickered back to the girl behind him, almost all emotion drained from his face as he looked at her with cold eyes. He could chase Thieves out of their Territory. He could fight them off. But when they came into his house, onto his territory, then it was personal.

Tiffany stood up, her hair fallen in front of her face, and walked over to stand in the doorway, blocking the girls way out, "You asked if we killed for mercy earlier?" She slowly looked up, some of the hair parting a little to show the evil, but emotionless, look on her face.
"I don't kill for mercy, in fact I hate the word itself... But I've been thinking. What would a girl like you be doing here in assassin territory. The outside of this bar is old and broken down, pretty much lifeless to anyone who's new here. Any thief would know that this is our bar...So what does that make you? Even if you are new, you wouldn't have even bothered coming here. No reason to. Which means you must be a resident." She lifted her head higher, a very cold grin on her face, her hair falling completely away from her face.
She took a step forward, "Which comes to my conclusion that you must be a really dumb thief looking for death or to get your ass kicked. Fortunately for you, we're on a killing ban. But, Rohjyx didn't say anything about putting a thief in their place..." She looked back at Tenma, "Feel free to jump in whenever you please."
She turned back to Xara, pushing her tongue out through her curled lips to reveal her shifter mark, "You should know what this is..." She spoke before shifting into her anaconda form, coiling up her eighteen feet of olive green scaled body beneath her. She brought her head to about a foot over the girl's height and let out an intimidating loud hiss, revealing her long sharp rows of teeth. "If you can understand me, than you should know what's coming next. I won't kill you, but you'll wish you were..."
(Sorry that was full of alot of talking, was trying to make a kind of 'She's gone psycho killer' kind of scenes. Minus the killer part due to the ban. XD lol)

she exclaimed hurriedly, taking a rushed step back. She could feel her bones aching to shift. Begging her to. She'd been relatively relaxed whilst in the bar but she had noticed the mans reaction change. And she didn't like where it was going. Her heart quickened but she easily calmed it and busied herself by looking around the bar. So there were a few... flaws with her plan. Okay: lots of flaws. The main one being that she was likely to be killed. Normally she'd be freaking out, and she was, inwardly, but somehow she managed to keep herself calm and collected on the outside. Her fear meter climbed as the man blocked the door and immediately she began looking for an escape. There was none: for a human. The bar was ratty and old, so there was bound to be a way out for a Serval: its a cat, they can go anywhere. But, so can snakes. She'd managed to perfect the trick where one shifts with their possessions still attached so she stuck her wallet into her pants pocket as a precaution. They could keep the rest of the shit she'd brought. And the money. But she could not, for some reason, bring herself to defend herself or try to argue with them. She was caught because she was stupid. She deserved what she got. But still, Xara's revelation about how serious this gang thing had been was a long way coming. Until she saw the woman act. Xara could feel the blood leaving her face as she paled, listening to the woman speak, not in fear, but in preparation. Her blood was rushing from the surface of her face and arms and body, going towards the organs, in preparation of the damage she was sure she was going to endure. She'd never fought as a shifter animal before...aside from that tiff with Karla- Her heart skipped. She should have listened to the stinker. Her friend. Way out. Way out. Way out.Xara's reaction to the snake was only half genuine. She'd expected a shifter out of both of them. Her fears were quickly becoming realized- Cold. She knew one thing about snakes was that they hunted by ground vibrations or heat signals. If she was cold and stood still, she'd be safe. Where was that fridge? She had no control. Her body shifted and her Serval form slunk to the ground with lightning speed and agility. She skidded on the ground, trying to dig into the smooth surface with her claws. Pads you idiot, pads! she righted her paws so her pads struck the ground. Friction at last. But those few moments of hesitiation, that split second, would have cost her. [/blockquote][/ul]

leaning against the door frame, arms crossed, watched the quarrel before her. how it brought a smirk to her pierced lips. crystal eyes narrowed, studying, feeling mildly pleased that no one had noticed her yet. dressed in a dark navy tank top that showed off her studded belly button, with black cargo pants hooked around her hips with a gun pelt propped up. it was the usual outfit, with dozens of bangles on her wrists and multiple necklaces, all comprising of silver, white, and black colors. cargo pants carried an assortment of goods; most of them bluntly illegal. heroin, cocaine, multiple viles and pouches, as well as the occasional grenade here, ammo there, everything she would need. on her gun belt, she had two loaded guns. one a browning 9x19mm hi-power x and the other a smith & wesson .45 ACP chief's special x. the smith was her preferred of the two. but alongside the guns there were several sheaths for knives, all of which were filled. knives were a preferred weapon in general, much more fun and easier to maneuver. but she couldn't afford to be picky choosy.
uncrossing her arms, took a silent step forward. arms falling to side, noxx held a combat knife in her hand. so nonchalant, it could of been a lollipop, but it was far from harmless. approaching tenma from behind, raised a hand to dig her nails into his bad shoulder. "hai popsicle." her voice was light, though her eyes stared daggers at the snake and cat who had just shifted. smirking and letting out an airy laugh, leaned into tenma finding it utterly amusing this squabble. "what did it do?" not really all that concerned about getting an answer, lowered the hand that was digging into ten's shoulder. but as the serval used claw instead of pad, noxx gave a snort. what a pathetic creature this was. "i hope it gets eaten, if they wanna play hide and go seek as shifts that is." there was something cruel about this last comment. as if lust rose like bile in this girls throat, wanting the opportunity to lunge out. which was all too appropriate with a knife still in hand.

Tenma turned around and followed Tiffany for a bit, one or two steps into the bar anyway, before he stopped walking. She shifted, then the girl shifted, and Tenma was going to shift, but he didn't see the point. That's when Noxx came in and dug her fingers into his shoulder. He winced only slightly, not expecting the sudden sharp pain. He shook it off quickly though, ignoring the pain as he always did.
"hai popsicle."
"Hey, Noxx." He responded, not looking at her as his eyes were focused on the fight before him. She leaned on him, but he couldn't have cared less.
"what did it do?"
"It's a Thief, what else did she have to do for us to catch her?" Tenma spoke emotionless, when she finally released hold on his shoulder. He made no relieved movement or sound, he wasn't even really all that relieved, it was just more convenient that he didn't have fingers digging into his shoulder anymore.
"Look, now it's bleeding again. Great." Tenma said sarcastically, ripping the bandages from his shoulder and tossing them in the trash before sitting down. His wound throbbed hard, and he grunted just once. He shook that off though, stpping around Noxx and closing the bar door with a 'click'. It was the only real way out, the windows were boarded up and the only other doors led to the back room and then his room and then Rohjyx's rarely used room, both had windows but both doors were closed, as were the windows within them.
"i hope it gets eaten, if they wanna play hide and go seek as shifts that is."
"Unfortunately we can't kill her, since the police are so active. We're just going to catch her then see what Rohjyx wants to do with her." Tenma said dryly, looking from Noxx to the fray on the floor with disinterest. His shoulder bled freely, sliding down his arm and dripping onto the floor. He let it, since it would stop soon and he'd have to clean up the mess anyway.

Tiffany watched as the girl shifted and scurried about, merely scoffing at her attempt to hide, "Finally taken interest in the air you breath, eh?" She turned to look just as Noxx walked in and dug her fingers into Tenma's wound. She shifted back into a human as Tenma closed the door to the bar and ripped off the bandage and sat down. "What the hell Noxx?!" She yelled at her before rushing behind the bar and grabbing the first aid kit, "I just bandaged that up and now he's bleeding all over my clean floor! You know how long it took me to clean this place?!" She yelled again before rushing to Tenma's side.
Once again she pulled out the antibiotics and bandages and began patching him back up again, "Now I have to stop chasing my prey and clean all this up. Why don't you make up for it and go catch that stupid thief." She growled as she finished patching up his wound and put everything back up. She disappeared into the back for a bit before reappearing with a mop and bucket full of water. "Jeez, why do people insist on doing this crap to me? I'm not a freakin' house maid! DARN YOU KILLING BAN!" She continued muttering words under her breath as she mopped up the floor.
(Again I appologize for such short posts. XD)

she thought despairingly. Max... Max I love you, I am so sorry...I love you...She was sure she'd never get the chance to tell him, and with that she lowered her hackles, and her eyes, and sat herself in the corner. Defeated. ((OOC: am I rambling?)) [/blockquote][/ul]

finding it oh so amusing when tiff rushed over to tend to tenma, smirked and thought how absurd it would for ten to have a girlfriend. shaking her head, stepped forward and with a giggle said, "but he looks so much more macho bleeding freely!" hugging tenma, got some blood on her arm but she didn't really care. wrists clicking in the hug, still held her knife as if it was a plushie that she didn't want to put down. releasing him to tiff's mercy, scoffed when she was told to fetch the cat. Turning, loafed around looking in some cracks and crevices. reminding herself that she was looking for a cat not a cockroach. locating the furball, plunged her hand towards the scruff and lifted the shift out. "eww... it's adorable." sticking her tongue out in disgust, still holding the blade ran it gently through the fur. expecting scratches and flailing claws at the very least.
"what should we do with it?" holding the thing at arms length as if afraid it's cute might be contagious, looked at ten and tiff as if expecting to deal with it. noxx didn't deal with shifts, let alone small defenseless, pathetic, ignorant, stupid, selfish, thieves. "i vote we kill... it." why was noxx stuck with the cat? she didn't like cats... small cats. she didn't like animals in general unless they kept their noses out of her business. "sorry... ban or not i really don't care." turning the serval upside down held it by it's tail above the floor. it was probably painful to have to support all it's weight on an extension of it's spine. giggling, felt like she was holding a dead chicken. dead enough to be one too.
