OOC:// this is strictly a one-paragraph thread. no more, and if you post less i'm very worried about you ^^ ANYONE CAN JOIN!
setting:// a cool autumn day, ruffling winds, overcast clouds, with rain on its way.
[/i][/center][/b][/size] oh the sweet waft of food underneath the mouse shifters nose was almost unbearable. the sweet and luscious scent of a warm hotdog, caged up inside a brown paper bag that chex had rightfully stole. nose and cheeks were red as he had just outrun the merchant on which he had stole the hot dog. walking towards the docks of the harbor, thought about maybe eating it with feet swinging over the edge towards the water. which by itself was a daunting factor since chex had a fear of water and couldn't swim. but the prospect of eating made him unbearably courageous, for being such a mouse. paper bag loosely in his hand, the white-haired shifter made his way down the harbor, the wind pushing against his face, fluffing up his hair and wafting the scent of his food elsewhere. {140 Words} {chex in human form} {xD hahahaha!}[/blockquote][/blockquote] MY 100TH POST!!!

Damien flicked his tail in annoyance, his eyes narrowed as he watched the leaves tumble down the barren harbor. The bitter cold lashed at his fur, he could tell a rain was going to settle in soon. He needed shelter, but Damien was hungry too, as he was cruelly reminded by the sharp pains in his stomach. With the slightly twitch of his air, Damien managed to pick up the slight tapping sound of shoes on the road. Crouching in the dark skillfully hidden between some bushes, the feline tipped his head out to see who came his way. The sweet smell of a food Damien knew so well hit his senses: hot dog. He slipped back into the shadows, a quick plan forming in his head. Normally, the ocelot shifter wouldn't steal food, but he was desperate. In hope and desperation, as the unknown human walked closer, he darted out from the shadows. Hoping to scare him, or knock into him even, Damien would snatch the food and run. To where, not even he knew. ________________ | 185 words | | He needs a new posting table. |

"OHMYGEE" this huge gigantic jaguar of a cat jumped out of the sky and nearly killed chex on the spot. well... not really but with mouse instincts kickin' in, the white-haired boy jumped up and and dropped his brown paper bag with his hot dog in it. heart racing, realized it was just a weird looking cat. exhaling deeply, walked forward with a small smile bending over to pick up the brown paper bag once more. a cat, scaring a human, how stupid and pathetic that idea was. why, if chex wanted to he could snap the cats spine right now. but that was WAY out of his league, he could barely get the heart to steal his dinner. which was now laying on the other side of the cat, on whom chex didn't really like because of those EYES. they seemed to know a little too much, more than a regular cats eyes. but then again, little damien was a shifter, mister mouse just didn't know that yet.

Damien glanced up at the man, well, boy more like it. He wasn't that tall and very child-like with white hair. He almost looked younger than Damien, but for certain, more timid it seemed. Damien's blue eyes locked with the boy's red eyes for a split second before the feline about-faced, snatched the bag in his teeth, and bounded off to who knows where. [TIME SKIP] A blissful yawn escaped the ocelot as he lay a ways away down the beach. After leaving the human back in the dust, Damien lopped a little ways off to eat in silence. Hopefully the kid wouldn't follow him. He was alone and full, for now. A pang of sadness and guilt hit him as he realized all the recent changes in his life. Amber was gone, Shanks left the city, and... well, now he was truly alone. There was no where to go and no one to go to. Depression hit him as he laid his head down, the crumpled bag crinkling beneath the weight of his head. Just like old times, huh, Damien?________________ | 200 words | | Your post bled sarcasm. |

Why was he on the beach? Because there were bullies waiting for him, just around the corner of his house. He couldn't get home, until the bullies went away. Quite frustrating, really. Brian jumped at the rustling sound of bag. It was also frustrating how jumpy being constantly bullied made him. Brian searched for the source of the sound, and found a cat resting it's head on a brown paper bag. Not only that, but the cat was an ocelot - a species only found in South America, or the very southern reaches of North America. This was much too far north for the little feline. Brian pulled his lunch box out of his backpack and grabbed some remaining lunch meat that he had in there. Truth being, he hadn't eaten is sandwich because it had gotten a bit squashed at school. Random facts about the cat ran through his head as he attempted to sneak closer, holding out the meat. He didn't expect to be able to sneak up on the cat. Ocelots were notorious for their excellent sense of hearing.

the cat turned and dashed away well good riddence with his hotdog. "YOU STUPID CAT GET BACK HERE!!!!" the chase was on. anyways, chex attempted to run after the much smaller cat, but eventually lost sight of the feline. huffing and puffing and almost blowing your house down, the mouse's stomach grumbles. "well... better go get my lunch back." quickly glancing around, saw that no one was looking so scurrying away to behind a building shifted into a mouse. scampering with his cute white self, sniffed madly for the cats scent, the scent would lead him to the kitty cat sooner or later.
[ENTER TOKI'S TIME SKIP HERE]
little transparent pale ears pricked at the sound of a crunching paper bag, and with ocelot scent overflowing his nose, chex came to the conclusion that he had found his quarry. absolutely terrified to confront the cat in his current state, shifted back to human behind one of the life guard seats, strolled towards the little cat who ate munching on the ground. though there was some other kid who was attempting to coax the little fella. spurred by hunger, chex was abnormally aggressive and normally would of shrunk away. but they were just kids, nothing to be afraid of. right? "Hey! HEY! you, yes you... is this your cat? little demon stole my lunch! a PERFECT hotdog!" though adorable gay chex wasn't intimidating in the slightest, his face was flushed red with slight embarassment, hair ruffled, and seemingly trying to puff or fluff himself up. "well?"

In front of him was a kid, about his age in fact. He was short with brown hair and a pair of block-y glasses. Everything about him screamed "nerd". The boy pulled out what seemed to be a sandwich, although it was quite squished up. The teen didn't seem to be trying to sneak up on him, and this fact made Damien tilt his head in curiosity. Before he could think long on the matter, the same white-haired boy ran up. His cheeks were faintly red from the run. Oh shit. "Hey! Hey! You, yes, you... is this your cat? Little demon stole my lunch! A PERFECT hotdog! ...Well?" Damien hissed and backed out of the opposite side of the bushes. The ocelot's fur stood on end, pupils in slits, his fangs bared, and his claws were flexing into the sand. Perhaps he could scare this other kid again... What did you get yourself into now, Damien?________________ | 179 words | | - |

"Hey! HEY! you, yes you... is this your cat? little demon stole my lunch! a PERFECT hotdog!" "Uhmmm." Brian stuttered nervously for about a moment. "well?" Now finding his voice, he spoke up. "It's not just any cat. It's an Ocelot. They're found in South America, and some of the southern parts of North America. It certainly is strange that this little guy is so far north. I bet he escaped from the zoo." 'Or it's a shifter.' Brian quietly added in his mind. Brian inched closer, outstretched hand holding the lunch meat. It wasn't bad or anything - Brian had just been tired of eating sandwiches that his 'friends' at school had smooshed. Brian tried to keep a wary eye on Chex, and another eye on the ocelot. It didn't work so well. In fact, it was making him a bit dizzy. "Despite their being a cat, they can actually swim quite well." Brian continued nervously, pushing his glasses up with his index finger. "Y'know. They don't have teeth for chewing either. They simply rip up their food and swallow it whole." The boy continued to ramble on, a light blush of embarrassment on his face. Why the heck was he so easily flustered?

What did he know about ocelots? ... Why? The shifter felt a creeping sensation, the tips of his neck fur standing in dread. What if they began moving toward the idea that he was a shifter? Wait. How would they know about shifters anyway? Oh, if only Amber were here, he would have never gotten into this situation. Damien's thoughts drifted away from this (although he was still quite wary) as the younger boy inched closer, sandwich in his hand. He was uncertain at first, but he was still hungry. A single hot dog would hardly put a dent from the amount of starvation he felt. As the older one spoke, Damien watched him, "Rips its food and swallows it... I'M gonna' rip IT up and swallow IT whole sine IT stole MY hotdog." The boy's stomach growled, and for a moment, Damien felt guilty. However, his guilt was soon washed away. He was older and didn't have to worry about shifting every 24 hours. Most likely, the boy probably had it better off than him. "At least you're quite content with your belly... so um... kid. What's your name and why do you care so much about the--" Snatch! Damien lunged forward and snapped the sandwich out of the kid's hands before shuffling back even further. It was for him after all. The boy would have to get his own, and all this talk (let alone, without him participating, not that he would) was making him hungry. ________________ | 270 words | | Only slightly over. |
