"I won't ever understand people Uncle Tenma. I can see why Mommy doesn't either."
"Then I guess that makes three of us, huh Kiddo. The only human I even come close to understanding is your dad, and even that man is a mystery." He snickered, thinking of just how solitary and mysterious Rohjyx really was. And it was even more humorous that Rohjyx had found love, or some version of it, and had kids. Well, Tenma didn't envy him- a man who wanted kids Tenma was not, but he still loved little Kaija and Seth like he would his own (if he had any legitimate ones, that is).
Motion caught his attention when the boy started to be dragged away. He'd seen that very scene several times, so it affected him none. Sympathy was something he gave sparsely, and this wasn't one of those times.
"You're seriously just going to walk away? I understand the kid, Tenma, but you?"
What did that fox say? Understood Seth? Hinting that he might have understood him? Tenma growled, giving a menacing glare in the vixen's direction. "You will never understand me, fox." He spoke, voice laced with poisonous hatred. He called him Fox, simply because he was looking down on him. Low like a lowly fox, as it was. His ears perked and mood changed once more when Seth spoke, however.
"I don't get why it would be bad, Uncle Tenma, although... they do seem like bad people. Maybe we should go back home, Mommy will be mad already if she knows."
He would have replied, had a bullet not flew passed his head. He hit the ground with a thump, though Tenma somehow managed to keep from making too much noise.. He peered just over the edge of the windowsill. They were coming. A lot of them.
He nudged Seth rather urgently back toward the fence, where there was a piece of board missing at the bottom, perfect for the small cat (and the fox, admittedly) to fit through. Of course Tenma had already made a plan, deciding he would shift to his human form and take the heat. As long as Seth got away, everything would be fine.

[scrolly:h(333),w(262),sy] "You will never understand me, fox," Tenma spat, causing the fur along Alex's neck to bristle in warning.
"No one could understand what goes on inside that thick skull of yours," he muttered back, growling under his breath not really caring if the dog heard him or not. Though his anger had certainly flared, the presence of the small panther cub curbed his appetite for conflict. Plus, the more pressing matter of the men in the warehouse still had most of his attention. Bickers with the Asses would have to wait until he'd assessed just what was going on in Shelpey.
Alex turned his eyes to Seth as he whimpered, looking almost reluctant. "Daddy and Mommy always said don't involve yourself in business that's not yours."
"I can understand the basis for that, but sometimes when others need your help-" The fox's reply was cut short as a loud explosion cracked the air and he winced, sensitive ears ringing with the sound. Tenma immediately reacted and quickly peered through the window before ducking and nudging Seth towards the fence. Alex saw that there was a gap that would allow for the kitten to slip through, and most likely himself as well, but Tenma's bulky frame wouldn't be able to fit. The thought that Tenma would put the safety of such a defenseless little thing before himself was a bit of a shock, but it registered a small note of respect deep in the Thief's mind. Maybe Tenma wasn't ALL cold and heartless after all. Just 99%.
Alex suddenly realized that he'd better get his ass moving if he didn't want to be shot through the skull. He could hear the men inside moving towards the door and he had no doubt that they'd have their guns drawn. He considered his options. Seth was going to be safe so long as he made it through the fence, Tenma was...who knew what Tenma was going to do. He certainly couldn't get past the fence as a dog, but maybe in his human form he would be able to jump it. The Assassin had appeared out from nowhere just moments before; maybe he'd escape back that way.
The idea of abandoning the unconscious teenager inside the warehouse didn't sit well with Alex. But what to do in order to help him? Alex contemplated shifting. If he stayed as a fox he couldn't do much besides try to pass himself off as an innocent animal. (Then again, they might have a thing for hunting.) If he were a human, there might be a scuffle, but if they were keeping the other teenager, why wouldn't they keep him? For whatever reason it was, be it hostage, ransom, or other, they had a reason not to kill the boy. So there was hope in that direction as well.
He resolved that it was safest if they didn't know he could shapeshift. Save it for a surprise factor if it was needed later. He needed any kind of backup plan that he could get. Alex shifted back into his human form behind his pile of crates just as the door slammed open.

Seth remained somewhat agitated, sitting down now he wasn't peering through the window. His eyes were on the fox now, his curiosity sparked once more just because of the way Tenma spoke to the vulpine creature. He certainly was not on friendly terms with the animal and it made the young panther wonder why. No doubt he would certainly learn why as he grew up, but for the time his mother had been quite adamant her children were not involved in their father's business. Not yet.
"Then I guess that makes three of us, huh Kiddo. The only human I even come close to understanding is your dad, and even that man is a mystery." Uncle Tenma said, causing Seth to nod fervently. He knew that his father was more human and his mother more cat, although at first he had struggled to wrap his head around the idea. "If Daddy could be a real cat, he would be!" Little Seth stated with pride, and his voice said that he held his father in very high regard. "After all, he doesn't really like humans either."
Glancing at the fox once more, scrutinising it with icy blue eyes for a brief moment, Seth waited for Uncle Tenma to give him some kind of response about leaving. What met his ears instead was enough to make the cat physically jump, eyes wide with sudden fear. The sound of the bullet (not that Seth knew what it had been) flying over his own head was enough to make him look upwards, and the little cat flinched again as the bullet embedded itself into the wall of the neighbouring warehouse.
His body froze, and only after several nudges from his 'uncle' did Seth begin to make his way back towards the hole in the fence he had come from. At first his legs were stiff, and it looked almost like he would fall over, but as the younger panther began to get moving his legs started to work properly.
He was half way to the hole when the first of the men rounded the corner of the warehouse and looked down the alley. The man said nothing, raising his brow at the dog and the fox at first as if he wasn't sure what to do. When he caught sight of Seth, the man's eyes widened greatly, and he raised the gun upwards to take a shot at the young panther.
Seth was too busy running to have any idea that he wouldn't make it to the hole in time if that gun went off.

When she had realised Seth was gone, Tabris had been distraught. She had somehow misplaced her son, and although at first she had treated it as a simple game of hide and seek the panthress had soon realised that her son was not where he should be.
Far from it, in fact.
It had been a pain in the ass to shift from one from to another and Tabris had been getting tired by the time she reached the warehouses. She had lost her son's scent and had taken a moment to pause and reflect on why Seth would have run away at all. Her worry consumed her completely, however, when she had heard the gunshot, and like a bat out of hell, the white panther had taken off towards the sound, all the while chanting a personal mantra; "Please don't let it be him."
She arrived upon the scene as Seth was fleeing towards the hole in the fence, back to safety and away from the men. Tenma was there as well, along with a fox she could only assume to be Alex himself. Worse company than Alex was the armed man, pointing a gun at her son's behind.
Something Tabris did not take kindly to. Using the vantage point she had reached with the help of her human form, the white feline paused for a moment to judge the angle right, and peer in through the window she could see. All the other men were still inside the warehouse, scrambling for weapons. It would be a good minute or two before the lone gunman outside had assistance. Plenty of time, then, to punish him for threatening her precious Seth.
Tabris leapt without second thought, not making a sound as she did so. He forelegs stretched out as she leapt, claws at the ready and a snarl that would make even the bravest man pause for thought. The gunman only really noticed her when she landed upon him. It probably wasn't a pleasant sight for anybody watching, to see a huge panther drop onto some poor unsuspecting bastard and sink it's jaws into his face, but for Tabris it wasn't a problem.
She really was an animal at heart, after all. Nothing different to killing prey or eating raw meat.
It was over in seconds, the panther and her victim rolling briefly thanks to the sheer weight and the momentum of the leap, and the instant Tabris was sure the human was dead she realised him and took several steps back, shifting as she did so. "That's for aiming at my son." She snarled to the dead man, spitting the blood from her mouth and wiping her mouth with a sleeve. "Also, 'Uncle' Tenma, I am somewhat tempted to say you are in trouble. Not as much trouble as a certain little boy, but trouble all the same."
Tabris? Pissed? Surely not.

Tenma's first instinct was to fight, being as that had been bred into him, but second instinct was to defend, something he'd aquired from childcare. Of course, he went with both. Shifting back to his human form he put a body between the man and the cub, making him an impossible target, in case his shift had scared the man enough to shoot. There were few things that Tenma was self-sacrificing about, and there had been one at first, but the second showed up just in time, it seemed.
He hadn't expected a white panther to pounce down on the man, but after seeing the blur of white he had no doubts. A mother would always protect her children, and standing somewhere between her and her child... well, it was a bad idea at best. He stepped aside, giving the mother free pathway to her child. He wasn't about to stand between a fairly pissed mother (someone who was with Rohjyx had to be hardcore enough as it was) and her fairly frightened kid. Nope, didn't want to die today.
He glanced in through the window, maroon eyes surveying the scene. They were monumentally outnumbered. (Not that he counted Alex, seeing as he'd near forgot he was there.)
"Also, 'Uncle' Tenma, I am somewhat tempted to say you are in trouble. Not as much trouble as a certain little boy, but trouble all the same."
"Trouble? Definitely. I'll be in a shitload of trouble if you and Seth don't get out of here. And fast. There's way too many of them, and that body sure isn't gonna help our alibi, Tab." He said, urgency in his voice. He kept his gun with him at all times, but drawing it now would get him shot. So instead, he'd leave it where it was, for further use hopefully.
"Go. I can handle crowd control. Besides, isn't there a little boy who's probably terrified, waiting for his mom?" He gave a smirk-like smile as he passed Tabris, meeting the guys just as they came out the door. He could buy them a little time, but there wasn't much else he could do. Capture or death was inevitable.
Spreading his arms wide, he crashed into the first wave of them. Luckily for him, none of them had weapons- He guessed that was because they were idiots, or just goons that were expendable. He swung punches every which way, hitting people in the face, chest, stomach; anywhere he could make good contact and cause damage.
[insert other character reactions to various human attacks here ]
All came to an end soon though, when a rather loud shot went off, and Tenma was forced to his knees, overpowered by several of the older grunts. Now, they wouldn't have kept him down by man power alone, but the knife at his throat and Mad-Dog's gun aimed at his skull was enough to subdue him.. for the time being. "Well. Looks like we've got a spy. There isn't any street-scum I know that can fight like this guy. You know what that means boys." Mad Dog decided to let suspense build, before finally revealing his sentence. "Torture until he talks."
Oh, fun. 'La maravilla cuanto ellos durarán antes de que ellos realicen que no voy a hablar y ellos sólo pega un tiro a mí.'
(Rough Translation; Wonder how long they'll last before they realize I'm not gonna talk and they just shoot me.)

“ First a mysterious panther cub, then a protective Tenma, then the giant white panther that appeared from nowhere and dropped on the shoulders of the advancing man. It all happened so fast that the man didn't even have time to scream before the enormous jaws clamped around his face and he was done for. As the panther addressed Tenma and the cub, Alex couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Certain little boy, mother, Tabris, Uncle Tenma... slowly it was piecing together in Alex's mind. He hadn't actually met Tabris before, but he certainly knew of her and her power over the Assassins, even somewhat over Rohjyx himself. But this cub, Seth...he was her kid? When did all this happen?
The Thief shook his head and crouched further down in the shadows of the crates. Undoubtedly they knew he was still there, but it wasn't the group of Shifters that he was concerned about: it was the group of gangmembers that had just burst through the door after their fallen comrade, and this time Alex didn't expect another white panther to drop out of the heavens like some kind of hellish murderous angel.
If they didn't know he was there, then don't LET them know he was there. If a fight breaks out and someone needs backup, then he'd join them with the element of surprise. But he preferred to assess the situation before rushing headlong into combat, like Tenma was doing now, though the Assassin held his own for quite some time while Tabris dealt with...evidently her son.
The sounds of struggle stopped and Alex peered out from the shadows and saw that Tenma's fighting spirit had finally been subdued when faced with the cold metal of a knife and gun. Alex watched to see what their next moves would be and he readied himself to dart out if needed.

Kyrian woke up, head pounding and vision fuzzy around the edges from all the impacts on his head as of late. Sharp, throbbing pains echoed in his skull as finally they all caught up to him for a searing headache. “Bloody Hell, it’s like they can’t do anything else.” He muttered as he closed his eyes under the harsh lighting to give himself some recuperation time. Back in ROTC, he was pissed he’d had to stay an extra 3 weeks in the summer for the higher ranks to learn some of the “funner” stuff. But now? He was relieved one of those courses was POW training. Pulling him out of memory was the sounds of loud curses and yells from outside, no doubt a struggle. Damn, what he’d missed?[glow=green,2,300]Mad Dog, expression pissed but excited all the same, rolled his eyes at Bean, who’d missed the damn shot. He was quick to think it was a friend of the liger boy, so of course, wanting to make as much money as he could, he sent the other goons to check it out.
Mad Dog himself and Scourge stayed back, letting the brothers stand guard over the liger kid in case he tried an escape. The two men watched, waiting, but what they got instead was this crazy ass mother fucker taking down guy after guy, knocking his men down like they were nothing. Mad Dog kept his expression cold, yet there was a touch of appreciation in his gaze, completely opposite to Scourge; slack-jawed and eyes wide. “Well them fools aint gonna take tha’ fucker down anytime soon.” He nodded and the two of them went outside. Scourge fired off a round in Tenma’s general direction, not willing to shoot directly at him in case he shot one of his own men. And then to back him up were a few of the better gangsters, well better as in more muscled and more crime hardened, and they held the man down. Mad Dog stepped his way over, smirk plastered on his face as he stood in front of the man, pulling his head back by the hair to put his hunting knife at his throat. "Well. Looks like we've got a spy. There isn't any street-scum I know that can fight like this guy. You know what that means boys." He paused, letting his words sink in and also to build suspense- trying to gauge a reaction if any. "Torture until he talks." His eyes narrowed, watching for any flash of emotion to be on the fighter.
What he got instead of fear or even anxiety was…bored? “Or shifts, maybe he’s that dog ya shot Beans.” Scourge added, snickering mockingly at Beans for his missed shot. Mad Dog put more pressure on the knife, just enough to make blood bead on the tanned skin. “Let’s see if he’ll last longer than the kid. But still, shouldn’t be too hard to find out.” Self-indulgent grin, and then he pistol-whipped Tenma on the side of his head in attempts to knock him out. He motioned for the others to take him in, “Leave him with the kid for now, need to get some stuff cleared first. Work before play.” Scourge jumped in, going to check on the others who had yet to get on their feet from fighting tenma. They used 3 of those plastic tie-ropes on Tenma’s wrists and ankles, not chancing him getting those free again, and then half dragged him to where they were holding Ky. “Hey man, go get the chains in the other room, if he’s a dog then why don’ we chain him up man?” The guys laughed and brought back a thick chain and roped it around Tenma’s throat, putting a heavy duty padlock type thing to keep it tight around his neck. They looped the other end to an iron ring in the wall, snickering all the while, and secured that with another heavy duty lock type thing. They left him about 4 ½ - 5 feet of leash though, and were about to leave. The older brothers though, left them to guard the animals so they could go do whatever they wanted.[/glow] Ky, really too weak to try for an escape or risk a fight, just stayed lying on his back on the cold floor. He was on the other side of the cell with tenma, about 5 feet apart in the 5x6 room. But again, survival was a strong instinct, and reckless Ky was beginning to change. His dirty blonde hair paled, striped even like bad highlights, as did the hair all over his body. Nails darkened and grew, teeth changed. Whenever he changed slowly like this, it was ALWAYS pain laced, but now it was getting easier to ignore that. Within a minute he looked like some horrendously deformed white boy. When the guys left to their posts outside the door, one stayed behind to poke Tenma, and with his back turned the halfling lunged. He pulled the man down and bit at him- his mouth more snout-like than anything, and he bti and tore at anything he could get, body shaking from wanting to change fully. The guy managed to pull out a knife and slice it down Ky’s thigh before the other guys came in. Aaron at lead, he kicked at Ky, aiming at the shoulder to knock him off, but since Ky lowered his head like an animal, he got hit across the face with a cringe-worthy impact. Ky, battered enough as it was, rolled back to his spot from where he landed and stayed there.
They dragged off their friend, slamming the metal door again. Ky was changing back into a human, slowly, but not as slow as before. Shirtless, and his shorts so torn and tattered they’d fall off if he stood-but thank goodness for boxers- once he was mostly human again, he opened his eyes- still feline and took a sharp intake of breath. Scent told Ky this man was the dog outside with the cub, was this his failed rescue mission? Chex had mentioned a big mean dog belonging to the leader named Tenma, and half delusional he spoke.
“Chex-how’s Chex. Chex doesn’t know. Chex…”
Some of the guys finished loading up a few trucks and left off, while others were given other orders from Scourge. Aaron and Josh were on patrol with some half dozen other guys to patrol the block from police and whatnot, leaving the warehouse itself with the prisoners, Beans, Scourge, Mad Dog, and about 10 other guys. Hrms...wonder what they'd find...[/font] ------------ Got lazy on coding hehe, if anything aint up to yalls likin' lemme know and i can change it up ^^

(OoC:|| Just be careful not to powerplay, Sin, and not to take control of every NPC out there. You have to remember that Tabris and Alex are still in the area as well, and if you take control of all the NPCs and decide what they're all doing, Alex, Kitten and I won't be able to do anything with our characters. For that reason, I'm going to ignore portions of your post and use some of the NPCs for myself. You just took control of way too much and I'm not about to sacrifice my character's place in this plot thread (and I doubt Alex will sacrifice his character's place in this plot thread either) for you to take over the whole thing. By the way, long post ahead. Lots of filler. I had LOADS of muse. Sorry. :'D) [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e240/latias-mimic/TabrisTableMiddle.png][scrolly:h(320),w(340),sy]
"Trouble? Definitely. I'll be in a shitload of trouble if you and Seth don't get out of here. And fast. There's way too many of them, and that body sure isn't gonna help our alibi, Tab." Tenma spoke, Tabris unmoving from her spot and still glaring bloody murder down at the dead man. Part of her face was still stained with blood she had missed, but the Shifter was not phased by it. Blood was like an old friend for this female panther and she had no trouble being covered head to toe in it. She was not the squeamish sort. "Go. I can handle crowd control. Besides, isn't there a little boy who's probably terrified, waiting for his mom?"
She had been about to snap at Tenma, but his question made her stop and look over at him. A frown crossed her face and she took several steps backwards, glancing through the window. The men would spill outside any second now, and if they saw her, she wouldn't be getting away. "It's a good thing I brought Roscoe with me, isn't it?" She mused, although she didn't sound particularly humorous. "Seth's with him already, I should think." A pause as Tabris glanced down at the fox, only to find the fox had gone to hide. Smart one. "Be careful, Tenma. Rohjyx will not be happy with you if you get too broken."
It wasn't like Tabris to show concern to the Assassins, and normally she was colder than her lover when it came to dealing with them. Yet, for a few, Tabris had grown to care for them as friends, and she was also quite aware of how dear they were to her children. Tenma was one of these few, it seemed, and her brief show of concern was probably an indication of such. With this, Tabris turned on her heel, almost gliding over the ground as she made for the whole in the fence.
Of course by the time she was halfway down the alley, Tenma was barrelling through the humans like a bowling ball took down pins. She did pause to look over her shoulder, only for a second, and when she turned around she noted the little black panther's face peeking out from behind the hole. Seth was on the other side waiting for her and Tabris briefly growled in anger that Roscoe hadn't taken him away. The anger drained from her face as she noted three people coming from behind the warehouse. They were goons, nobody important clearly, but they were not stupid. They had come around the back to catch Tenma by surprise.
And run into her instead. The panthress stopped running, glancing down at Seth's little face and giving him a glare. With that one look, little Seth's face was gone, and he was out of harm's way at least. The same could not necessarily be said for her. "Look here, lads. Quite a pretty little lady to be in these neck of the woods."
"Call me little again and watch what happens." Tabris snarled before she could help herself. She was not little, and the next poor fucker to call her that would pay the price. Two of the men sniggered at her bravery, but one seemed to take her more seriously. He was obviously the smart one. "I doubt that is ketchup on your face, is it?" The smartest of the three asked. Tabris just grinned, sticking her tongue out and licking some of the blood she could reach. "You'd be right to doubt that." Was all she said, and the two fools seemed to stiffen. The smart one drew his gun and aimed it almost immediately.
Had Tabris been more like Tenma she might have just barrelled through the three of them and broken a few of their limbs while doing so. But she was no heavyweight fighter and it would only take two of the three men to overpower her entirely. She smirked, raising her hands up slowly to show she wasn't armed (not with human weapons anyway) and rolled her eyes one of the men took both her wrists and twisted them until her wrists were behind her neck in a rather painful sort of position. She was then marched from the alleyway towards the main group in front, past them and into the warehouse. She got a couple of funny looks from most of the humans as this happened, as if they weren't quite sure what to make of her.
And all the while Tabris couldn't wipe that smug little grin from her face. "You'll make a great hostage, won't you? So damn cooperative. Bet you the big guy will talk if we threaten you." One of the two armed men pointing guns at her head said, sounding amused. "Oh." Tabris chuckled, not sounding too phased by the ordeal. She was better now she knew Seth was safe. "I'll be your best hostage ever."

“Or shifts, maybe he’s that dog ya shot Beans.”
Tch. This one was stupid. That ignorant grunt couldn't have hit a cat if his gun was already between it's eyes. His hands were shaky, and he probably had horrible eyesight. It was a wonder he had even seen Seth in the window in the first place. Cold steel pressed further into his neck, and even as beads of blood started dripping down his neck onto his shirt, his face remained just about unfazed. Well, just about- he did give a smirk. For no real reason then to piss them off. And it worked well, too. Mad Dog slammed the handle of the gun down on his head hard, leaving a small gash near his forehead somewhere in his hairline.
Of course, it wasn't enough to knock him out. His breed went through generation of pain tolerance to generation of pain tolerance, and kept getting stronger. They weren't invincible though. And Ten had to say, that gash smarted like a motherfucker. A long with a few other places on his body, which were sliced and bleeding. Those didn't hurt so much though, and he could easily dull the pain by thinking it didn't hurt, or just ignoring them completely. They weren't serious, he would survive.
Number one rule to play when you're taken hostage- save your energy, and no matter what, don't slip into the darkness. The darkness meant death, because you were vulnerable when you couldn't see. He went limp immediately after the gun hit him, feigning unconsciousness.
“Leave him with the kid for now, need to get some stuff cleared first. Work before play.”
Great. He got to shack up with the kid he didn't know and didn't have any interest in. He was a random prisoner of war, because that's just what it was now. Using zip-ties, they bound his arms and legs, and then dragged him to a room. Of course he played the perfect little prisoner, not moving or even giving hints of life besides his dull breathing (which he had slowed on purpose himself, to create a better effect) - He was quite the actor.
“Hey man, go get the chains in the other room, if he’s a dog then why don’ we chain him up man?”
Tenma so much wanted to just whip around and start kicking their asses. However that wasn't possible now, he needed to lie low and 'lick his wounds' in the metaphorical way, of course. Or maybe not. He hadn't actually decided yet, seeing as him shifting is just what they wanted, and he was unwilling to give them anything they wanted. He didn't envy the struggle the grunts had dragging him there though, hell, they could barely lift their own feet, let alone a two hundred pound fighter.
However, he was used to chains, being a fighting dog he had to be chained up a lot, well, when he bit people. His owners had called it quarantine, or something like that. He'd never really been chained otherwise, leashed not really counting. He gave no resistance as the chains were slipped around his neck and padlocked, hell, they were cheap and if he had his hands he would probably have been able to break them in half just out of strength.
He stayed motionless as the commotion went on, grunting and twitching a bit as the man poked him. He was no science project, he wasn't meant for poking and prodding. A growl rose in his throat at all the noise that was going on, but he doubted that they could hear it, making all the sounds they were. Finally the man was put in his place and the injured grunt returned and the door closed. Finally. Quiet for once...
“Chex-how’s Chex. Chex doesn’t know. Chex…”
Tenma growled very loudly now. "Shut the fuck up." He snarled, glaring at the boy with one eye, the other one he kept closed so that the blood streaming from the wound on his head wouldn't get in it. It flowed right over his eye, down his face and dripped even more onto his shirt. Oh well. e could always buy a new one. "O le mataré. (Or I'll kill you)" He threatened the boy, a very real threat and in a very serious voice as well.

“ As soon as the alleyway exploded with commotion, Alex was glad that he had made the split-second decision to dive behind the pile of crates. He watched the action unfold from the safety of the grimy shadows, seeing first Tenma then Tabris be pulled back into the warehouse. The alleyway looked like some kind of corridor straight out of a horror movie, with blood and bodies spewed about, and the Thief wondered how long it would be until the police responded to the sound of gunshots and found the scene. If he was found here, he would be in MAJOR trouble. It seemed like for his own safety he should get out of there, but something was keeping him glued to the spot. Perhaps it was the worry that more of the goons were still lurking around, or maybe it was the strange reluctance to leave now that MORE people had been caught. It was against his logic to feel like he should help the two Assassins, and it was more than likely that they didn't want his help in the first place, but he felt wrong about simply leaving them.
Alex ducked back behind the crates and moved to peer out the other side, towards the fence. He couldn't quite see beyond the hole but he knew that Tabris had shooed Seth away before she had allowed herself to be led into the warehouse. Taking a chance, he shifted back into fox form and quickly darted across the alley, slipping through the hole and pausing on the other side. He caught the panther's scent, as well as a much more familiar one- Roscoe. Alex nodded to himself and shifted back to human. So the panther cub was safe with Roscoe. Not that he should care, but still. He didn't like the thought of the kid wandering around by himself after this mess.
Alex found himself under a fire escape, likely the one that either Tenma or Tabris had used to access the alley, and he hoisted himself up, careful not to make too much noise. He treaded softly up the metal stairs and platforms until he reached the roof before making his way crouched over to the roof of the warehouse. He immediately dropped to the rooftop as he neared, seeing that the spacious room below him was lit with a smoky skylight. He crawled on his stomach towards it and stole a glance inside, but he couldn't see much besides the tops of the walls. He didn't want to raise himself up higher to look down in fear that they would see him, so he kept himself where he was and pressed his ear to the dirty glass, trying to eavesdrop on the group below.

Ky flinched a bit as the feral looking man growled at him, and only sighed at the answer he received. His face was quickly swelling now, and he knew that in 24 hours he wouldn’t have a face it’d be so swollen, and he probably wouldn’t be able to see either. He stared at Tenma in silence for a moment, taking in the sight with the dark hazed vision of his. Looked like he was hurt himself, but now he was doubting he’d come to save him. But Ky was Ky, so he couldn’t keep his mouth shut. “I know yall assassins have a rep to keep up, but really man? We’re both in the same boat here.” He raised himself to his elbows slowly, to better look at the cell and his cellmate. “I know why the caged birrrd, sinnngs.” He slurred at the end, speaking like he was reading off a children’s rhyme. “Why do people say that?” He asked, tilting his head to the side ignoring the flare of pain. He shook his head quickly, grunting and hissed. “No, no, how we gonna get out of here? You have a plan right? Right? I can’t stay here any longer, they know I’m a Liger, I can’t be sold or killed, the world needs me!” He rushed hurriedly, paranoia and anxiety dominating his voice before he growled, showing more of the frustration he felt. He slumped, as if that were possible, bordering on consciousness and unconsciousness. Josh came back into the warehouse from making a few calls in the truck right when a few of his holmes were bringing in a woman. Such an odd sight that was, and it certainly took him by surprise to say the least. He rubbed a hand over the small stubble on his cheek form not shaving this morning, a thing he did when he felt the itch. More of a hunger than anything else though…he threw his hand in his hair, gaze hard on the enticing woman. The guy at lead opened the metal door where they were currently keeping the freakshow and the street fighter, well now they were about let them have a new friend. “Hahaaah, can’t wait till Mad Dog starts on her, wonder who she’s working for.” The guy holding her wrists said, tightening his grip so she wouldn’t bolt in case she lost her nerve at seeing her cellmate’s. Rotten bunch they looked like. “Nah man, too clean and kept to be workin for no gangs eh mami?” Replied another, nodding at the lead guy. “Shame, but you know what lady, I do feel for you, nothing so fine out to be handled by Mad Dog.” He shrugged, reaching out to try and stroke the side of her face. The guy holding her laughed though, but they all went quiet when Josh intervened. “OI!” He strode over, mischievous grin on his lips even though his eyes glinted in sinister delight. “What the hell do you think you’re doing fucker?” He directed at the guy who tried to touch her, something that didn’t sit too well with Josh. But he’d have to play the charmer before the predator. But he hadn’t played the game in a while…he was eager, so restraint was, well strained. He gave a small push at the guys chest, and the sudden surprise caused him to stumble back into the cell. He glanced back at the shifters and gasped, looking away quickly and muttering a whatever. “Mad Dog wants her Josh, so we’re gonna put her with the others.” Said the guy holding her, shrugging and taking a step closer to her from behind, putting less than half a foot of distance between them. “Well I don’t care what Mad Dog says fool, she’s a woman, and she needs- special treatment.” He flashed a boyish smile at the captive, looking her up and down. The practiced gaze didn’t miss a single visible feature on the woman, and what he couldn’t see, well he did have his imagination. And with her arms held behind her like that his thoughts threatened to run rampant, and it showed on his face for a second before he reverted back to in-charge-confident-charmer. “So get you’re stupid asses in gear and fuck off, go find my brother or something, I don’t want to keep having to look at yall.” His face showed disgust, but that only masked the growing irritation of having them around her. A couple seconds worth of stare down and one guy slammed the metal door shut, taking off with the second. The guy holding her let go of her rougher than Josh would’ve liked and followed suit of his companions. They went outside to smoke though, get high or something. They headed towards the fire escape to chill out there, DUNDUNDUN “Sorry darlin’ they should’ve known better.” He told her, bringing out a handgun he kept behind him tucked in his jeans. He waggled it, smile on his face. “You’re in our territory now, don’t try anything funny, I’m doing you a favor now.” He motioned with the barrel for her to turn around and walk forward towards the back of the warehouse, and really it was a clear path. About 15 feet relatively straight and then there was a door to a hallway. That door was closed, but not locked. Everyone that could even be in the warehouse knew not to go through there or face cruel and unusual punishment. “C’mon now doll, through the door and down the stairs, be a good girl now-“ His voice was obviously pitched lower, and his body language screamed predator now. He was loving this power. “You wouldn’t want to be a bad girl now, you’re in enough trouble as it is.” He spoke almost cryptically, but with a friendliness one couldn’t help but both trust and fear. Once the door was open, he reached out to make them both pause, “Going into darkness, wouldn’t want you running now.” He holstered the gun on his ankle fluidly and motioned for her to put her hands behind her back. He’d want to do as much voluntarily before he became…rough. He moved to keep them secured by the small of her back, moving close behind her so he could speak in ehr ear. “Now walk darlin’, you’ll thank me for this later.” He spoke into her ear then waited for her to start the descent down the short flight of stairs.[/blockquote]
