Nia ran into the alley, adrenaline thumping in her chest. The darkness swallowed her up, hiding her from Officer Maves, who bellowed behind her. She sprinted through the alley, hurtling over a bin of trash, unsure of whether the police officer was pursuing her. She pumped faster, breaking a right turn as she came out of the alley, keeping along the edge of the street.
She ran for another two blocks, eventually slowing her pace. Her breath was ragged, struggling to keep up with her pace. She pressed a hand against the cool brick wall, slanting slightly, as she listened acutely for anyone trailing behind her, greatly relieved to hear nothing. She stole a quick glance over her shoulder, reassuring herself.
Officer Maves had called her over, and Nia, making a snap decision, had run. Attention from a police officer was the last thing she needed. Most likely he would have questioned what she was doing, wandering the streets so late, which could have quickly turned into more questions, if she hadn’t been delicate enough with her answer. He hadn’t looked like a fool, and it would have been easy for him to figure out that she was a runaway. Quietly she swore under her breath, scolding herself. I have to be more careful. Luckily, it had been dark, and she had been too far away for him to get a good look at her.
She continued down the length of the street, staying close to the buildings she passed. Eventually she cut into another alley, this time familiar with where she was. Coming to the back door of the bar she pulled it open, sliding inside.
Silently she fumbled with the light switch. The light, hanging above the bar, was dim, but still working. The bar had been closed down, the windows all boarded up, but was still somewhat kept by her gang, and was visited semi-regularly. Walking into the room she trailed a finger along the top of the dusty counter. Exhaling the small fourteen year old took a seat on a bar stool, resting her face in her palm, her elbow on the counter, her eyes glancing around the room.

Rohjyx growled as he slammed the last guy's head into the brick wall beside him, his icy eyes narrowing and blazing with rage. The foolish teenage punks had decided that they were going to mug him as he made his way down the street, headed towards the old bar that he loved to spend time in. It was relaxing and was a well-known hangout spot for him. If any of his Assassins needed to get in touch with him, chances were pretty good that they could find him there. Or, at the very least, they could leave a note and he'd see it within a few days at most.
Watching the guy crumble to the sidewalk, Rohjyx snarled at him and delivered a sharp kick to his side. He grinned a dark, evil smirk as he heard and felt bones cracking over his foot. Ahhh, the sound of breaking bones. It always made him a little happier to hear that sound.
Stepping over the unconcious bodies littering the sidewalk, Rohjyx sadistically stomped on one of the punks' bloodied hands before finally leaving them behind. He was feeling better, to tell the truth. He'd needed a good brawl after having such a stressful day. Being an assassin for hire and not getting caught wasn't exactly the easiest job in the world and the day had been harder than normal. The cops had somehow gotten ahold of some expensive information about the hired killers and had spent the entire day trying to track down as many of them as they could. Luckily, Rohjyx was always prepared for such sudden attacks and had been able to evade them. It had been close for a while, but he obviously managed to keep under the radar.
Making a quick right, Rohjyx walked up to the back door of the bar and let a slight smile pop up onto his lips as he saw the lights already on. One of his Assassins was there.
Pushing the door open, Rohjyx's keen eyes flicked around the room once before settling on the tiny form that was currently resting in one seat, looking as if it had run five miles in record time. He quickly realised it was a girl and his brows snapped together in confusion. What was such a young girl doing out so late?
Deciding to make his presence known, the panther Shifter let his previously-silent steps make noise and cleared his throat. "Why is one of my youngest Assassins sitting here, alone, in my bar? It's been quite a while since I last heard anything about you, little miss Nia." He said, his rumbling baritone voice lacking it's normal harshness. Somehow, he just couldn't be so strict with her. Maybe it was because she was the same age as his dear Anne? Probabably. Rohjyx knew he was wrapped around his niece's little finger, as well as that he always would be.
Walking behind the bar, Rohjyx kept his eyes on Nia as he calmly reached for a bottle of water and held one out to her while grabbing another for himself. "Water? You look like you could use three bottles." He offered.

- Strolling along, nonchalantly, the dark and desolate sidewalk. Lifting up one black tennis shoe covered foot after the other. It wasn't like she was going anywhere in particular, just pacing around the familiar part of the city. For Noxx had kept her profile low for the past month, in an attempt to keep her slate clean. But of course, it was like an addiction. Kept bouncing back, with the murderers that came to her hand. But it wasn't her fault, the world should know that this female wasn't a toy but a dangerous weapon that would unleash itself upon you within a blink of the eye.
- As she walked, appearance became more obvious. Though the day was chilly, a short sleeve V-cut tee with 'Attack Attack' written across it in cyan and lime-green lettering. Neck covered in multiple silver necklaces, a wrist with over a dozen white and black rubber bracelets. Lip pierced with sterling silver, and ears with the same. Blonde hair standing out like a sore thumb in such darkness, it engulfed everything around her, which was why she stared at the ground; listening. Rather than looking around with her unnatural explosions of cyan, blue, and green eyes.
- Rolling her shoulders, continued on but came to a halt. What sounded like the thud of footsteps up ahead, curiosity pricked at her. Knowing that the alley that led to the old bar was up ahead. Maybe a clash of the clans? Speeding up, heard a clatter of metal. Though Noxx didn't know it at the time, it was Nia tossing the can over to prevent Maves from following. Turning the corner, saw Maves staring into the darkness. It was like a cat and mouse. Grinning, slid a hand to her belt, where she had her guns, knives, drugs, anything you could think of. Slipping out her compact semi-automatic Smith & Wesson .45 ACP Chief's Special — Model CS45 hand gun.
- With a sharp click, raised her arm and aimed at Marves head. At the sound, the police officer had turned around and with fear in his eyes and on his scent. Noxx knew that it would be bad on her history to kill him, but still let's make the mice scramble. With a pull of the finger, a loud BANG echoed off the night. Maves had dived to the side as Noxx's bullet soared into the brick wall. Never aiming to kill, but to scare. The stern police officer, dived for his gun which was in his own belt. But before he could withdraw it, Noxx was gone into the night. Like a phantom, without a sight and without a sound.
- The creak of the bar door was her entrace scene. Slipping through the door, gun being replaced to it's sheath, swiveled to see Rohjyx and Nia. Giving a snide grin to the pair, stepped over to the bar counter, taking a seat on the circular chair. "Old Mars give you a hard time? Nah; he's a scared mouse now." Turning to Rohj, couldn't help but notice the scent of blood about him. Assuming that he had had his own little fun, looked at his hands. Though they were rather clean. Blinking astonishing blue eyes, looked over at Nia who was still gasping, fear scent about her. 'God damn humans, think they own it all.'

Nia wiped the sweat from her brown, half slumped over the bar counter. Her heart was still beating loudly, she hadn’t heard the backdoor open, nor noticed Rohjyx until he cleared his throat, signalling his presence. Her gaze shot up, addressing the gang leader with her full attention, her hands dropping to her lap, composing herself.
“Why is one of my youngest Assassins sitting here, alone, in my bar? It’s been quite a while since I last heard anything about you, little miss Nia.”
“Nearly had a run in with Maves. Nothing I couldn’t handle.” Nia smirked. “I’ve been keeping a low profile, lately.” This was the first occasion in some time which she had directly spoken to Rohjyx. As of late she had been exploring the outer boundaries of Shelpey, after all, a bear shifter stood out like a sore thumb in the middle of a city. The park reserve had been proving to be a much more convenient spot to shift, without having to worry about any humans or thieves.
“Water? You look like you could use three.”
“Thanks.” Immediately she took the water, nodding thankfully. She unscrewed the cap and chugged it thirstily. Nearly finished the bottle, she lowered it, setting it on the bar. "Any new information in regards to the Thieves?" She spoke quietly and precise, hoping her request for an update wasn't out of line. She had little experience speaking to Rohjyx, and she always tried to be cautious, not wanting to overstep any line.
Looking up to meet his gaze, she opened her mouth to speak again, but closed it as another set of footsteps approached. She turned her head, seeing Noxx, wearing a grin.
“Old Mars give you a hard time? Nah; he’s a scared mouse now.” So, Noxx must have seen her encounter with Maves. She watched silently as Noxx’s eyes drifted between herself and Rohjyx.

Rohjyx leaned lazily against the bar, his bottle of water swinging slowly between his fingers, and listened to Nia as she explained her reason for being there. "Nearly had a run in with Maves. Nothing I couldn’t handle." She said, then gave him a smirk. "I've been keeping a low profile, lately."
He held the water bottle out to her, offering it, and she took it graciously while saying, "Thanks." He inclined his head ever so slightly. "Think nothing of it." Comfortable silence settled as Nia drunk her water and Rohjyx let himself relax a little more against the bar. What a tiring day he'd had. "Any new information in regards to the Thieves?" Asked Nia suddenly and Rohjyx's eyse snapped into focus on her once more. New information about the Thieves? Of course there was. Rohjyx was constantly getting detailed messages from his scouts and occasionally his Second.
"Nothing of much importance, as of yet. They seem to be relaxing almost." He said. He didn't glance when he heard the door creak open and instead kept his gaze on Nia. It was probably another of his Assassins.
"Old Mars give you a hard time? Nah; he's a scared mouse now." Not just any Assassin, either, but Noxx herself. Rohjyx smirked and lazily shifted his gaze to Noxx.
"Oh, so it was you that fired the gun I heard earlier. Somehow that doens't surprise me." He smirked, an amused glint making his guarded eyes spark. "I take it poor old Officer Maves is still alive?"

- Eyes flickering to the water in Rohj's hand, icy cyan eyes fell to Nia. Sure Nia was young, almost like an apprentice in Noxx's eyes. Someone not to be taken too seriously until she came of age. But all the same, family was family. But what was this that Noxx had heard before she entered? Something about Thieves? Nothing too important for their ears, but of course Rohj's mind was just spinning and twisting with plots. Pupils narrowing, took a hand and flicked her hair behind shoulder. Nonchalantly playing with her tongue piercing, unnoticed by the other two.
- Eyes darting upward, saw that cocky little smile on her leaders face. Teasingly, sneered back before saying, "Why would I let you down? You know I love my bullets in shining armor." Smiling, shook her head before resting against the counter. Silver necklaces catching the light for a moment, rubber bracelets falling forward onto wrists. There was nothing too interesting here, Noxx couldn't advance with Nia around. But then again, why not break loose. Have a little fun once in a while, actually convince herself that she was accepted.
- '...still alive?' Nodding, cast a glance out of the corner of her eye. Of course, killing Maves would be a great lift of burden on all of the shifters. But then again, Noxx liked to play with her food; not eat it. "Nah, he's still breathing. Just a little shaken as all." Looking down at nails, noticed how they were the natural cream colour, similar to her claws. How she loathed being in human form, sure it had it's benefits. But what were looks and appeal versus weapons that couldn't be discarded. Resisting the urge to bare her dull human teeth at her own hand, turned back to the duo.
- "So; now that we're a big bunch of fun and our game has just been chased away, what is to be done?" It was a curious question really, what were they going to 'do' now that they were together mistakenly? Surely sitting around and talking with basically PG-15 limitations would loose it's appeal sooner or later. Not that Noxx was complaining
too much.

Nia listened silently to the interaction between Noxx and Rohjyx. She watched Noxx. There was some shame that Nia felt, not dealing with Maves on her own, though she tried to ignore it. The gang was something like a family, and family members helped each other out. It wasn’t something that Nia should have been ashamed of, but it was something she would have rather taken care of on her own, without the help of an older member. She wanted to prove her capability. She wanted to look good in front of Rohjyx.
“So; now that we’re a big bunch of fun and our game has just been chased away, what is to be done?” Nia broke her gaze from Noxx as the woman finished talking, turning to look at their leader, Rohjyx. The girl was definitely craving more trouble, another taste of adrenaline after her encounter with Maves. Hopefully Rohjyx had some elaborate plan to get back at the thieves and stir up a little fun. Nia grinned at the idea.
“If the thieves are busy napping, it’ll be a good time to do something. Something big.” Nia took her eyes off Rohjyx, gazing around the room, looking at nothing in particular. She wanted to do something, to prove her worth to the Assassins, despite her young age.
