Corbeau snarled low in his throat as he stalked down the road, headed towards the cemetery to do some damage to anything that was around. He ignored how his cheek throbbed and burned from the punch he'd received from his so-called "father" only ten minutes earlier. He could feel his eye swelling along the edge and knew he'd have a nice shiner to go with the dark bruise on his face. Whatever. He'd returned to blow with as much, if not more, force. That bastard would think twice before he punched Corbeau again. And if he didn't, then Corbeau would just break his nose again.
"Fucking bastard! I can't wait until I turn 18." Snarled Corbeau, furiously slamming his fist in the wall beside him. He felt the Sharp sting of his fist colliding with brick but ignored it, relishing in the pain and letting it clear his enraged mind. Oh, he was still pissed, that was for sure. But he could think straight now. And that was always good. "Corbeau, you fucking wimp. I can't believe you let him push you around like that. I thought you were more proud than that, you fucking coward." He snapped inwardly, furious with his other self. He could feel his other personality wince before growling at him and he stubbornly ignored him. Like hell he'd let that wimp take control of his body again.
He was just about to drop his head from glaring at the sky when he was suddenly bumped into, his entire body jerking backwards and to the side automatically. Instantly, he dropped his gaze and glared furiously at the small geek before him. A sadistic smile curled on his lips and, with a dark gleam in his eyes, he reached out and snatched him up by his shirt, twisting it around his fist. He sneered in the geek's face. "Oh, you'll make a great punching bag, dweeb." He leered, ramming his fist suddenly into Brian's gut and making him gasp for breath.
Being none too gentle, Corbeau kicked the cemetery gates open and dragging the gasping Brian in behind him, looking around for a good place to beat him up. Now, Corbeau wasn't usually into bullying weaker little brats but he just wanted to destroy someone at the moment and he didn't want them to be able to fight back. A punching bag, so to say.
Eyes landing on a collapsing old crypt, Corbeau let out an evil laugh and made his way towards it with swift, long strides. "P-please don't hu-hurt me," came a trembling whimper. Corbeau snorted and dragged Brian up to smirk darkly down at him. "Oh, I'm not going to hurt you, nerd. I'm going to destroy you." He sneered, reaching his destination and jerking the heavy door open with his free hand.
Eyes adjusting to the darkness almost immediately, Corbeau threw Brian into the concrete building, not even bothering to shut the door. It's not like anyone would be out that late, anyways.
He heard scrambling and someone breathing hard and felt his excitement grow. 'Oh, yes, please beg. Please cry for me to have mercy. Scream and plead and bleed. I love it when you do.' he thought ecstatically, his grin wide and wild. "P-p-please! D-d-don't hurt me! Ple-please!" Cried Brian, his entire body trembling as he tried to get to his feet. Corbeau took one step, hopped onto his left foot while drawing his right foot back, then brought his right foot forward quickly in a painful kick to Brian's side. Brian cried out slightly and crashed into the floor, the sound booming within the crypt. Corbeau's insane laughter, accompanied by Brian's quickly worsening cries to stop, filled the building and the cemetery.
It was this sound that Lyx heard and instantly snapped his head towards, his eyes wide and lips drawing back in a snarl. He and Nikkie had been out for a late night run and they had been passing the cemetery, which was on their longer, more out-of-the-way trail, when he had picked up the odd sounds of what seemed to be cries of pain and laughter.
Snarl bubbling up in his throat, he turned his great head to Nikkie, who was looking at him in confusion, and barked, "Someone's being attacked!" Instantly, Nikkie's eyes hardened and she pulled her gun and badge out smoothly. "Lead the way, Lyx." She ordered and Lyx nodded.
Taking off in a sprint, Lyx lead Nikkie to the crypt and went ahead at her order, snarling loudly and bursting into the crypt with his lips drawn back to reveal his sparkling white teeth powerful jaws.
Corbeau whirled around, laugh stopping abruptly, and glared at the dog before him. What the fuck?! Why the fuck was it bothering him? "Go away, you worthless mutt!" He snapped, kicking at him. Lyx snarled in response and leapt forward only to jump around him and stand between him and Brian, who was trembling heavily and bleeding while he curled into a terrified little ball.
Whirling around to kick the mutt that dared get between him and his fun, Corbeau stopped suddenly as the moonlight behind him lit up the dog and reflected off the police badge hanging around his neck. "Oh, fuck." He whispered, eyes widening before he whirled around and almost knocked Nikkie over in his attempt to get away.
Nikkie growled and whirled around to yell at him to halt, but when she looked even her amazing night eyes couldn't make out his form. Snarling, she held her gun at point and called out, "Lyx! Status!"
Lyx turned to Brian and gently licked his cheek, nudging him softly and making him whimper pitifully in pain. Lyx whined in response before calling out, "Clear but the boy here is in terrible condition."
Stone eyes filling with worry, Nikkie put her gun and badge away before walking quickly into the crypt and up to where she could see Lyx and Brian. "Hey, how bad are you hurt? I'm Officer Nikkie O'Hara. Don't worry, this is my partner Lyx. We're gonna help you." She said gently but firmly as she reached out and pulled Brian's beaten and bruised form to her. He cried out at her touch then cut it off abruptly, biting his bleeding lip and clenching his eyes shut.
Nikkie frowned and stood, walking briskly out into the moonlight only to set Brian down on a stone bench nearby. "Hello? I'm not going to hurt you. I'm an Officer; you can call me Nikkie, if you'd like." Brian's terrified eyes slowly opened to gaze fearfully at her, just barely able to open at all.
"O-Off-Officer... N-Nikkie?" He stuttered and Nikkie smiled kindly at him with a nod. "Yes, dear?"
