The moon was out- full and luminous. It bathed the ground and water with its mystical, surreal silver light. The scene was almost dreamlike. The water was a pitch navy, the bright silver shape of the moon reflected right at its center, but only accenting the water in some places. The light Spring breeze flitted through the new grass and sent ripples across the smooth glass like surface of the water. The temperature was comfortable; around 70 degrees with the wind adding a chilly feel to it now. Looking up, Sin saw the dark wispy clouds that surrounded the moon and dared not move across it. The night sky was dotted with balls of fire known as stars, and with trained eyes she was able to make out some constellations.
Sin was lying on her back against the cool earth, with some distance away from the shore yet still not too far from it. She was wearing a simple black T-shirt that fitted her with a pair of close fitting dark blue jeans that were loose enough to not fit the “skinny jean” category. Her long, near elbow-length dark hair was loose with a slight tousle to it and some of it rested over her shoulders while the rest was by her sides yet not wild and fanned out. She brought her right knee up, the soft grass tickling her bare feet. Her left hand was on the muscle known as the diaphragm, steadily rising and falling with her breathing while her right hand was behind her head. The wild flowers were buds, hiding in the night and waiting for the warmth and light the sun brought them every day. She sighed, why didn’t they too come out to bask in the wondrous glory of the full moon and ultimately the night? There were however, some species that bloomed in the night, and thankfully there were some around here. They too seemed to give off faint silver glows, beautifully enhancing the atmosphere created by the lake. She inhaled the scents from earlier in the day that were still lingered in the air- but it was nothing compared to when everything was in full bloom.
She allowed her thoughts to wander, and slowly felt a smile tug at the corners of her lips. Life was relatively good, but there were things haunting her from the back of her mind that she refused to accept. Her smile turned into a smirk, thoughts flashing back to some of the intense situations to some of the best memories as well as worst. She didn’t linger on those though, and a new thought popped up in her mind. She wanted a companion animal- a dog perhaps? It would be nice having to be able to take care for one to just be with one in general. What breed would she choose though? Over the centuries, people have diversified them so much there were well over 3 hundred to choose from. None of them seemed to fit her though, but like a light going on in her head she came up with an idea. Her brilliantly dark sapphire eyes flew open at the prospect- a wolf! It seemed farfetched, but she would stick to it…for now. She had more important matters to think about though- like say joining the assassins.
She was lying comfortably on the ground, enjoying the scene and the chance to think freely. The tiger within was sleeping, but would be ready to take over in a second. She loved the feeling of being in her tiger form- absolutely free and wild and just plain fun. Maybe later she would shift to search out some entertainment to help suppress the boredom that was sure to creep up sooner or later. She started to pick at a stray thread on her jeans, deep in thought. She didn’t realize she had fallen asleep. There was something about her that screamed power. Something lethal. Deadly. Raw. One could appreciate how impressive it was to give off that vibe while completely at ease. Then again, it could also set off certain instincts and make someone extremely wary or not trusting of her.
