Typical night at the bar. Downtown, a pretty flashy place. Tourist attracting. The locals came too, especially tonight. Friday night, 8 o' clock. All the damn kids were trying to get in with their fake ID's. Like those actually worked in the bar he worked at. They put ID's through a scanner, and if they were fake, the cop took 'em. Kids; idiots.
A crash and tumble drew Kurosaki's attention. God, if you can read minds, Damn the crazed drunks that messed up the bar. Damn them to hell. Heaving a sigh, Kurosaki meandered over and shoved the two fighting men apart. The more violent one took him buy the neck of his shirt, and asked him if he wanted to join in too. Kurosaki knew it was against policy to hit customers. Damn that policy to hell, too.
Lifting his fist into the air, Kurosaki slammed it down on the table beside him. It went in a good inch, and the bystanders in the crowd stared as the table split in half and crumbled to two separate peaces on the floor. "I said. No. Fights, Dammit." Kurosaki growled in a deadly, completely serious voice. The man that had previously had him by the collar, dropped to the floor. "Ah. Right. Never again! So sorry!" He pledged, and bolted out of the bar.
Kurosaki lumbered back to his spot on a stool behind the bar table, mumbling profanities as he put an elbow on the table and his chin in his hand. "Good work, Saki-man! What would we do without our best Bartender and Rumble Worker?" Mike, one of the Cleanup workers, shoved his elbow in Kurosaki's side, huge grin on his face.
"Who the hell is Saki-man?" Kurosaki asked with an all but amused face and tone. He lit a cigarette and put it in his mouth, then looked back at Mike. Who just chuckled and went back to his job.
Another pair of reeling drunks started at it. 'Man, this is gonna be a long fuckin' night!" Kurosaki cursed, slamming his barely smoked cigarette down on the table, putting out the end of it nearly instantly.
And hour later, Kurosaki was finally off shift. "Hey Mike, tell the old man I clocked out." Kurosaki said, without an once of respect, finally getting to smoke the cigarette he had been waiting all night for. He practically tore the apron he had to wear off, the rag around his head too, and tossed them onto the counter.
Then he just walked out. He stood in front of the door for a minute, then began his slow walk down the street. It was dark outside. The stars and the moon were out. But Kurosaki didn't notice any of it, he didn't pay attention to the sky, moon, stars, galaxy, whatever anymore. Just on himself and the people he cherished. Mike was one of those good friends, though he'd never outwardly say it. Ever. He dared not even to think of it, but somewhere in his peripheral, he knew it.
Tossing the burnt out cigarette on the ground, he stepped on it, and turned around. He stuck his hands in his pockets, just as he heard the sound of rapid footsteps behind him. "Oh no. Don't tell me it's her again..." Kurosaki froze, then slowly turned his head to see who it was.
'Oh damn.'
"Trinell." Kurosaki cringed, preparing himself for some epic blow that Trinell was sure to give as a greeting.

Trinell laughed as she dragged Taavi along the sidewalk, headed straight for where she knew Kurosaki would be at the moment. He would be getting off work in just a few moments and she eas more than excited about introducing him to Taavi. With any luck, he'd be able to help her get over her insane fear of men.
Rounding the corner right before the bar, Trinell's grin turned evil as she spotted Kurosaki, his back to her. Her one showing emerald eye gleamed with michief and glee as he turned slowly around and looked mortified. He stood stricken before her and her grin showed teeth just as he said, "Trinell."
Skidding to a stop before him, Trinell released Taavi's wrist and smirked up at the taller man. "Kuro! Long time no see!" With a wicked gleam in her eye, Trinell reached up to Kurosaki's cheeks and pinched them, pulling them out a bit and getting up real close to his face. "You look annoyed. Am I pissing you off?" She laughed joyously. "Well, you'll have to wait to fight me until after my dear friend Taavi leaves. She's terrified of men and I figure that if I can get her calm around you then she should be fine around most other guys, ya know?" She said, jerking her head back at Taavi. The vixen shifter was still standing behind her, more than likely glaring at Kurosaki with all the rage and fear the small girl could muster.
Deciding to be nice, Trinell released Kurosaki's cheeks and fell back on her heels, a smile in place of her evil smirk. "Taavi, I'd like you to meet a friend of mine. His name is Kurosaki Kyo but I just call him Kuro." She said, pulling Taavi up beside her despite the girl's fear. "Kuro, be nice to my friend Taavi. She's a mute so I'll have to translate for her." She added, giving Kurosaki a stern stare before grinning at Taavi.

A older man strolled down the street, glancing curiously about. What he saw shocked him. He saw girls with little clothing on, boys and girls with hair that was colored like a rainbow, boys who were shamelessly drinking and smoking. Shaking his head, he thought, 'Kids now-a-days. No longer do they take pride in themselves. Rather, they try to make themselves more appealing using dubious tactics. Why, in my day-' He thought process was cut off when a rather tall girl breezed past him, practically dragging a tiny, Asian girl, cut right in front of him, nearly knocking him over. Staggering back a bit, he glared after the two. 'Stupid kids.'
Taavi had finally resigned herself to the fact that Trinell was going to drag her all over the city. She couldn't very well yell at the girl, since she was a mute herself, and Trinell had a very good grip on her arm, rendering an signing impossible. In one way, it was a good thing that Trinell had such a good grip on Taavi's wrist. Without it, Taavi would be left in the dust of the much, much taller girl. Barely paying attention to where Trinell dragged her, Taavi compared her short legs to Trinell's own long ones. A pang of jealousy hit her. It wasn't her fault that she was so short. Trinell skidded to an abrupt stop, causing Taavi to run smack into the girl. 'Ugh,' she though as she nearly fell over backwards. Peeking around Trinell, her eyes widened at the sight of a rather startled looking man. Glancing around, the slender Asian girl could have fainted with horror at where she was. A bar.
Trinell grabbed the poor guy's cheeks while shouting, "Kruo! Long time no see!" She leaned close while pull her hands apart, cheeks still clutched tightly in each fist. "You look annoyed. Am I pissing you off?" The girl laughed demonically, and Taavi winced, expecting the guy to hit Trinell. Not that Taavi was actually worried about Trinell getting hurt. She had seen how deadly the girl could be. "Well, you'll have to wait to fight me until after my dear friend Taavi leaves. She's terrified of men and I figured that if I can get her calm around you then she should be fine around most other guys, ya know?" Trinell let go of Kurosaki's cheeks and smiled at Taavi. "Taavi, I'd like you to meet a friend of mine. His name is Kurosaki Kyo but I just call him Kuro."Trinell grabbed Taavi's arm and yoinked her up next to her, despite her silent protests. As soon as she could, Taavi retreated back behind Trinell, fearful gaze focusing on him. "Kuro, be nice to my friend Taavi. She's a mute so I'll have to translate for her." 'Yeah, and guess who made me that way, A MAN.' Taavi thought, fearful eyes hardening into a hate filled glare.
Grabbing Trinell's arm to get her attention, Taavi attempted to spin her towards Taavi, keeping a wary eye on Kuro. Taavi had no time to fraternize with a man. Regardless of how nice Trinell said he was. "A Bar? SERIOUSLY TRINELL?" Taavi signed to Trinell. "You know how much I hate bars." Taavi's eyes angrily narrowed. What the heck was wrong with Trinell to bring her here? Suddenly a couple guys stumbled out of the bar. Taavi's tiny hand reached out to clutch one of Trinell's arms as she warily glanced around, caged animal look in her eyes. She swallowed hard, throat suddenly feeling dry and her hands clutched into loose fists. Stupid Trinell just HAD to bring her here DIDN'T SHE.

Oh Jesus Christ. Why?
"Kuro! Long time no see! You look annoyed. Am I pissing you off?"
Damn her. Embarassing him like that. Emotionless tears were in the corners of his eyes, a natural reaction to the unusual pain on his face. Pissed, Kurosaki slammed his head forward, headbutting their foreheads together.
"Damn straight. Do you know how many drunks I've had to lay out tonight? More than I bother counting." Kurosaki said as she released his cheeks and dropped back down. Both their foreheads were red where they had collided abruptly. Then he noticed the tiny girl behind her.
God, she was tiny. Trinnell was a good six inches shorter than Kurosaki, and this girl was a good foot shorter than Trinnell. Leaving Kurosaki a good towering Foot and a half over her.
"Well, you'll have to wait to fight me until after my dear friend Taavi leaves. She's terrified of men and I figure that if I can get her calm around you then she should be fine around most other guys, ya know?"
"What do I look like, a babysitter? Of all the guys, you bring her here to try to get used to me? I'm the most difficult type of man, and you know that. She's not you. I doubt she can deal with me if she's that scared of me." Kurosaki said without much care. He wasn't one for first impressions, and to be truthful, he didn't like people much anyway. Not that he preferred wolves. He liked being left alone. Being with wolves provided no time to be alone, it was always pack pack pack.
Despite his words, Trinnell introduced them anyway. He didn't really see the point, it was completely evident that he wouldn't be able to help the girl. He couldn't help someone that was afraid of him, much less someone he didn't know or care enough about to spare a thought.
"Yeah." Kurosaki responded to the introduction, not really caring and looking up at the sky that held no meaning to him. He pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and blew out a puff of smoke to the stars. Then just looked for a while, both hands in his pockets, the cigarette in his mouth.
The mute girl started doing a bunch of hand gestures which surprised Kurosaki. He just sort of watched without words, or real opinions. Then the two guys stumbled out of the bar. Kurosaki glared at them out of the corner of his eye, but didn't say anything.
They teetered over and one of the grabbed a hold of Taavi's shoulder. "Hey babe. Hundred bucks for the night?" He said. Kurosaki could literally smell the 'fruits of the drink' rolling from his breath. He was disgusted. He roughly took the guy by his wrist, and gently pulle it off of Taavi's shoulder. The man looked up, to find himself staring straight into hell's eyes.
"A hundred bucks says I send you to the hospital if you come back." Kurosaki growled. The two men sped off, or stumbled off, they fell a lot.
"Seriously. Watch out for those guys. Some of the drunks that come out of there don't know when to stop." Kurosaki warned Taavi. "But someone knew that already, didn't they?" Kurosaki shot a glare out of the corner of his eye to Trinnell.

Trinell had to wince a bit even as she grinned when Kuro rammed their foreheads together, viciously headbutting her and making sparks light up behind her eyes. A snicker slipped past her lips, her slightly masochistic behavior pleasantly amused by her violent bartender friend.
"Damn straight. Do you know how many drunks I've had to lay out tonight? More than I bother counting." He growled, glaring at her. Trinell just laughed at him and listened as he ranted about how he was not the right guy to bring Taavi to, seeing as how he was so difficult. At that she had to interrupt.
"But that's exactly my point! If she can get used to an asshole like you then she'll do better with other guys. As it is, I need to teach her how to beat the shit out of assholes like the drunks you lay out all the time." She argued, jerking her head towards the bar as if to emphasize her point. She paused in her arguing as Taavi snatched her hand and started signing away, the wolf's keen emerald eyes easily following along.
Taavi was yelling at her. About the bar. Trinell sighed; she had expected that. "Calm down, Taav. I won't let him or anyone else hurt you. I'll kick their asses. Kuro here already knows I can hand him his ass on a silver platter." She replied, rolling her eyes skyward then back down to the much smaller girl.
She turned her attention away from Taavi just in time to see some drunk asshole grab her shoulder and say, "Hey babe. Hundred bucks for the night?" Almost instantly she was drawing up her leg to kick him square in the kisser but Kuro beat her to it. Instead she jerked Taavi closer to her side and, coincidentally, out of the way of her kick. Trinell had free range, now.
Eyes narrowed darkly, Kuro growled, "A hundred bucks says I'll send you to the hospital if you come back." and carefully but forcefully pried the man's hand off ofTaavi. Trinell drew her lips back furiously; she wanted to kick the drunk bastards in the face for daring to proposition Taavi.
She knew Kuro was pissed when he shot her a pointed look as he said, "Seriously. Watch out for those guys. Some of the drunks that come out of there don't know when to stop." She glared him in the eyes, her own anger at what had happened making her normally playful emerald eye burn a dark, hating green. "But someone knew that already, didn't they?" Trinell snorted then, crossing her arms over her chest with a scowl.
"Was that comment directed at me, Kurosaki? Because if it was, I don't appreciate it. You don't know how well I know how to handle fuckers like that." She growled, her pride bruised by Kuro's statement. Yeah, so she hadn't done as well as she normally did. Okay. Fine. She'd let Taavi beat the shit out of her all she wanted for it. But before Taavi would even be allowed to lay a hand on Trinell, Trinell would have given the guys a beating they wouldn't soon forget; no matter how drunk they were.
Trinell had dealt with them for years, now. She was more than used to the games they played and even more used to the best techniques to get rid of them with. Even the stubborn ones that couldn't take a hint. Angrily, she glared Kuro in the eye even though she knew that he was just giving her truthful advice. But she didn't like to be told things she already knew and that was exactly what Kuro was doing; telling her something she already knew.

Apparently Kuro didn't much care for Trinell because in one smooth motion, he bashed Trinell's and his foreheads together. "Damn straight. Do you know how many drunks I've had to lay out tonight? More than I bother counting." At this Taavi had shifted closer to Trinell. She really didn't like this Kuro character. Just then, his eyes fell on her and she defiantly glared up at him, with a hint of uncertainty. It was best if she didn't show fear. Men like him fed off of fear. It made them stronger and more powerful. Trinell rambled something off about Taavi being horrified of guys. Glancing at the taller girl Taavi darkly thought, 'You would be too. If you had had to go through what I did.' Returning her gaze back to Kurosaki at the sound of his voice, Taavi listened as words poured from his mouth. "What do I look like, a babysitter? Of all the guys, you bring her here to try to get used to me? I'm the most difficult type of man, and you know that. She's not you. I doubt she can deal with me if she's that scared of me."
'Hell yeah.' Taavi mentally and vehemently agreed with Kurosaki. She could barely stand the sight of men, much less talking to them or being anywhere near them. Apparently, Trinell disagreed with both Kurosaki and Taavi. "But that's exactly my point! If she can get used to an asshole like you then she'll do better with other guys. As it is, I need to teach her how to beat the shit out of assholes like the drunks you lay out all the time." 'What?' Trinell had never said anything about Taavi learning martial arts. How was a tiny girl like Taavi supposed to beat a kid up, much less a full grown guy. Trinell shut up and stopped talking as Taavi yanked her arm to get her attention. After patiently watching her angry signing, she replied, "Calm down, Taav. I won't let him or anyone else hurt you. I'll kick their asses. Kuro here already knows I can hand him his ass on a silver platter." The girl rolled her eyes at the same time as Taavi. Trinell didn't seem to understand that Taavi didn't want to be in the position of needing assistance in the first place.
Glancing over at Kuro, Taavi's face turned down in a horrified mask. Smoking? It was such a disgusting habit. Not only that, but it reminded Taavi of some of the few times her father had sent her to buy beer. She had been close to the age of seven at the time, so she didn't know she wouldn't be allowed to get any. She had walked in and went to the bartender, asking him if she could 'please have something for her daddy to drink.' The bartender had laughed in her face, and a couple of the miserable drunks at the bar had told her to come back in a couple of years and he would 'teach her what real fun is.' Needless to say, Taavi had been beaten when she went home. Raising an eyebrow, Taavi turned almond shaped eyes on Kuro. 'Reeaaal nice habit you have there. I'm sure it just makes ALL the ladies flock to you.' she thought snidely. It was probably a good thing she was mute. She never really had anything nice to say.
Suddenly, a shadow fell over Taavi. A rather familiar smell of stale beer and cigarette washed over her. A large, rough hand clamped on her shoulder, fingers digging harshly into tender flesh. With a small gasp, Taavi whirled around. The man leered down at her face. "Hey babe. Hundred bucks for the night?" She forced herself not to wrinkle her nose as the rather strong smell of alcohol. 'DO I LOOK LIKE A FUCKING SLUT TO YOU?' Taavi mentally screamed. Before she could try and remove his hand from her shoulder herself, several things happened at once. Kuro grabbed his hand and extracted it from her shoulder. "A hundred bucks says I send you to the hospital if you come back." Had she not been so terrified of Kuro, Taavi would have given him a standing O. As Kuro was taking care of Mr. Jerkface, Trinell was taking care of Taavi. Pulling Taavi towards her in a defensive movement, she looked slightly disappointed as the drunk idiot stumbled off. 'Probably mad she didn't get a chance to bash his face in.' Taavi's frown lessoned. She had managed to find a tiny bit of amusement in this horrifying experience.
Her face turned serious again as Kuro spoke, "Seriously. Watch out for those guys. Some of the drunks that come out of there don't know when to stop." ' A: like I would listen to whatever the hell you just said. B: it wasn't exactly my choice to come here.' Lucky for her, Kurosaki and Trinell couldn't hear her thoughts. "But someone knew that already, didn't they?" He glared daggers at Trinell. The girl glared back, tone sullen and angry, "Was that comment directed at me, Kurosaki? Because if it was, I don't appreciate it. You don't know how well I know how to handle fuckers like that." Wow. Gosh. This was so amusing. Too bad Taavi was sick of it. Taavi quickly signed to Trinell, "Gee. Thanks. I really enjoyed this trip. Can we please go home now?"
Too bad Taavi only had her facial expression to show how sarcastic she was. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Was that comment directed at me, Kurosaki? Because if it was, I don't appreciate it. You don't know how well I know how to handle fuckers like that."
"And you don't seem to understand how Illegal that is. If you got your under-aged ass booked, who do you think would have to bail you out?" Kurosaki growled. With a sigh, he expelled smoke. "Of all the places you could've come to find me, it had to be at this shitty place, didn't it? You could've just called me from a payphone somewhere or something." He stated, defeated in both mental and physical voices. He just didn't have the energy for that type of thing so soon after is job.
"Besides. You've still got yourself wrong on this mute kid subject. If she could flatten half of the kind of drunk idiots I do, you wouldn't need to bring her here in the first place. And whatever happened to her, she would've kicked his ass and been done with it. Also, when did I agree to be target practice for some little kid learning how to fight? We're friends Trin, but I'm not your training animal." Kurosaki said, then silently plopped himself down on the bench next to him. He lazily leaned back against the brick building, just looking up at the stupid sky with a burning cigarette in his mouth.
He wasn't sure how long the silence would go on. He noticed the mute girl signing something to Trinell, but he didn't really care. He couldn't understand it, and he really didn't want to learn to. She was terrified of him, and hated him, just because he was a guy. And he didn't care for stereotypical people like her. Not much at all.
Another drunk was 'politely' exited out of the bar for fighting. He was thrown to the ground, and cursed then got up. He looked around, stumbling as he did, and focused his sights on Kurosaki. Who, in turn, stared down the man with all the power of his icy gaze. The man got shivers, and looked for a different target to mess with. Then he saw Trinell. Though she looked pretty tough too, for a broad. Finally, he saw Taavi. She was the perfect candidate for a beating. He began a slow lumber toward her.
"You wanted a fight. Take down that looser. He doesn't look like he'd put up much of a fight if you kicked him where it hurts." Kurosaki said, his tone rather uncaring, as he blew yet another puff of smoke into the air.

"Gee. Thanks. I really enjoyed this trip. Can we please go home now?" Trinell sighed as Taavi signed furiously to her, not missing the sarcastic look on her face. "No. Not yet, at least." She refused, shaking her head. "Wait a bit. I still have to argue with Kuro." She added and then turned back to the taller man.
"And you don't seem to understand how Illegal that is. If you got your under-aged ass booked, who do you think would have to bail you out?" Growled Kurosaki and Trinell didn't bother to hold back her angered glower. "Oh, so defending myself or my friends is illegal now? I'm allowed to be near a bar, Kurosaki Kyo, just not inside. And I turn 18 soon, anyways, so it doesn't really matter anymore." She spat back in anger. If things kept up, she would need a powerful punching bag in no time.
"Of all the places you could've come to find me, it had to be at this shitty place, didn't it? You could've just called me from a payphone somewhere or something." He sounded defeated, and completely exhausted. Trinell felt a pang of sympathy for him and let it show by swiping her long bangs out of her face, giving clear view to the smooth scar that traced her cheek from her temple to her chin, and treating him with a soft look from both of her emerald eyes. "I don't have any money right now. It's been a while since DJ forced me to take some money and I've been trying not to steal so much. It's setting a bad example for Andrei; I don't want him to be as accomplished of a thief as I am." She replied slowly, pretty sure Kuro didn't like her living circumstances either.
As soon as he started talking again, though, Trinell let her hair fall back out of her face and fixed him with a displeased glare. He sat down on a bench as he spoke. We're friends Trin, but I'm not your training animal." Training animal? When did she ever say anything about him being a training animal? She frowned heavily, her brows snapping together, and she stared at him darkly.
"I think you've misunderstood me yet again, Kuro. You wouldn't be my training animal. When have I ever made you be a beat up dummy for students? I always use myself, or DJ. We're friends, yes, but I don't like to take advantage of my friends." She said, pissed that Kuro would think that but wanting to clear up to confusion as well.
AUGH! Why did guys have to be so difficult all the time?! And Kuro was probably one of the worst about it, too! They were both so damn stubborn! It made for a rather strained friendship at times; like now, for example!
Jesus Christ she was pissed. She could feel the annoyance building up into true anger, just waiting for a match to spark it all. That match came soon enough, when another drunk was kicked out of the bar for being a jerk and starting a fight.
The man stared at Kuro for a moment before deciding it wasn't in his best interests to mess with him. Then his eyes fell on Trinell and she gave him her best glare, suddenly feeling an itch to hit something. Hard. He quickly moved his gaze away from her and, when it landed on Taavi, Trinell felt her fuse light. The way the man leered at her friend sent her skin crawling and she could tell just from the look in his eye that he had decided on Taavi to be his... whatever. He started shakily for Taavi, completly ignoring Trinell and Kurosaki. Big mistake.
"You wanted a fight. Take down that loser. He doesn't look like he'd put up much of a fight if you kicked him where it hurts." Trinell's fuse exploded, turning her annoyance into rage, and she snarled viciously at Kuro. "Goddammit, Kurosaki! Quit being such an ass!" Turning blazing eyes to the man, her snarl grew louder and deeper. "And you! If you don't back off, I'm going to kick your ass from here to Timbuktu!" The man stared at her uncomprehendingly for a moment before shaking his head and starting for Taavi again.
Jaw throbbing in pain from clenching it so hard, Trinell took two quick steps towards the man and, in one fluid motion, slammed her foot painfully into his chest with a powerful side kick. He crashed backwards, falling to the ground, and Trinell snarled at him again. "Leave. Right fucking now. I'm too damn pissed to not kill you if you don't leave." She snapped, visibly shaking with the force it took to keep herself still. The man, after getting his breath back, scrambled to his feet and stumbled away as quickly as he could.
Trinell watched him go with a snarl hurting her throat and her face contorted into one of great rage. She really, really needed to hit something and hit it hard. Her eyes fell on the brick wall; it would provide a great anger relief to hit that. Then her eyes fell to her clenched and trembling knuckles. Only problem was the wall would undoubtedly break her hand. She couldn't afford that.
Instead, she looked to Kurosaki and her eyes narrowed. "Can I see your phone for a moment? I need a punching bag before I kill someone and, no offense, but DJ can take my hits better and doesn't act like a total ass about every fucking thing." She asked tightly, her jaw clenched once more. Just a litle while. She could hold out long enough for her and DJ to meet up. She knew she could. Or, at least, she hoped she could.
OOC//: Lol Trinell's not pissed at all. |DD

"I don't have any money right now. It's been a while since DJ forced me to take some money and I've been trying not to steal so much. It's setting a bad example for Andrei; I don't want him to be as accomplished of a thief as I am."
She brushed her hair out of her face. Two emerald eyes were looking at him with sympathy. He grimaced. Lightly touching her cheek.
"Alright. I'm sorry, so don't look at me like that..." He said softly, something like deep regret in his facial expression. He looked sideways at the ground, then turned away and stood with his back to her.
"I think you've misunderstood me yet again, Kuro. You wouldn't be my training animal. When have I ever made you be a beat up dummy for students? I always use myself, or DJ. We're friends, yes, but I don't like to take advantage of my friends. Goddammit, Kurosaki! Quit being such an ass!"
Kurosaki said nothing and let her beat him mercilessly with her harsh words. He could take it. He silently stared the opposite direction but listened to every pounding word. He didn't even redirect his eyes when she gave the man what was coming to him. He knew she would. He had predicted that right after the man had stumbled out.
"Can I see your phone for a moment? I need a punching bag before I kill someone and, no offense, but DJ can take my hits better and doesn't act like a total ass about every fucking thing."
He only looked at her for a second, then took his phone out and looked at it. He stuck it back in his pocket and stood up from his place on the bench. He looked down at her, crystal eyes holding a deep sadness, one from a deep scar that was left on his heart a long time before.
"It's my fault, s take it out on me. I'm not gonna let you hurt this Dj person because I fucked up." Kurosaki said, tone quite emotionless. He didn't avert his eyes. He simply gazed down at her, position loose and ready for every bone-cracking punch she would surely deliver.
OOC:: Fyi, this is totally in character for Kuro. ;3 Because of his past, certain things will click in his head and make him have different emotions than his normal, hard-boiled self. Also, that cigarette he had, it was stomped into the ground before the first Trinell quote. ^^

"Alright. I'm sorry, so don't look at me like that..." Trinell didn't move as stroked her cheek gently, looking regretful, and ignored the odd feeling his hand going over her scar caused. It was one of those scars that felt like it was tingling almost when it was touched.
After she got rid of the asshole that pushed her to trembling and fixed her gaze on Kuro, she waited impatiently for the phone. Dj would be able to calm her down, she just knew it. He'd always been able to help her keep from killing people. Always. Why would it be any different now?
When Kuro pulled his phone out, she almost reached out for it before a dark scowl covered her face. Why was he putting it back in his pocket?! She needed that! She had to call Dj, and fast! She could only hold out so long when she was teterring so dangerously on the edge of going into a blind rage.
"It's my fault, so take it out on me. I'm not gonna let you hurt this Dj person because I fucked up." His words hit her hard and she felt her rage go out of her in a great whoosh. Why? Why did he have to go and be nice all of a sudden? That wasn't the way it was supposed to work, dammit! He was supposed to give her the phone and let her call DJ so that she could get rid of her unsettling emotions in the way she always had!
He stood before her loosely, looking at her completely emotionlessly and ready for anything she could throw at him. But instead of beating him up like she normally would, she bowed her head and fell back on her butt before dropping her head onto her knees and wrapping her arms around her head. "Dammit, Kuro..." She mumbled, feeling exhausted and like crap. "You just had to go and be all nice, didn't you? Dammit! That's not how it's always worked!" She was losing her cool; she knew it. She hated it. She couldn't stop it.
It had been a long time since her last breakdown. Three or four years, almost. Dj had caused her to breakdown by promising to help her out no matter what she did and promising to always be there for her. It had sent her into tears for half an hour.
As it was, she could feel her eyes burning with tears and she growled angrily at herself. Tears did nothing but cause problems and headaches! "Dammit, dammmit, dammit! Dj was supposed to come here and let me hit him! He's my best friend! He's bee doing that since I moved here! That's how it's always worked! Why'd you have to decide now to be all noble Kuro? Why?" She jerked her head up to stare pitifully at him at this point, her jaw visibly clenched and tears sparkling in her anguished eyes. Fine. They couldstay there. But she refused to let them fall. They wouldn't fall! She wouldn't allow them to!
Dropping her head back onto her arms, she mumbled, "Dammit," over and over again as she trembled, trying to get her emotions back into check. It would do her no good to break down on the sidewalk like she was doing. All it would do was cause problems and give her a migrane. Crying did that to her. Made her have migranes and just want to curl up in some alley in her Shifted form and sleep for hours. Of course, she couldn't very well do that while she had Taavi and Kuro with her. No, of course she couldn't.
But, dammit, it was so hard to stop a breakdown that had been building up for three years! How was she expected to do it without DJ there? How?! So she just sat there, wanting the ground to swallow her up, and trembled with the effort it took to stay silent and keep her tears from falling.
OOC//: Believe it or not, this is something Trinell would do. After three years, even she would crack when something deviated from what she was used to. -Hugs Trinell- It'll be okay, Trin. Promise. <3
