Yves had just finished his studies and proceeded to his room. Sitting on a chair all day, his bottom was beginning to hurt somewhat. It took Yves a while to slowly get up from the chair using his hands but he finally got on the bed. He was already dressed in his light blue PJ’s and was about to take a small nap. He turned the lamb off, which was directly to the left of him. He placed the sheets over the lower part of his body and laid his head on the pillow. He closed his eyes for only a moment before opening them again. Something didn’t feel right. What ever it was, he couldn’t put his finger on it. He got up so he was now sitting on the bed. He looked outside the opened window beside, to the right of, his bed and looked up into the dark sky. He couldn’t see the stars from where he was. Then again he doubted anyone could see it in this city and with its “light pollution.” But, he still saw the moon.
“The moon is full today,” said Yves to himself. It was ironic for Yves to be living here. He was just getting use to living in the country side with family. He gave a small sigh before heading back to sleep. But, he heads something kind of odd noise. Since his house is usually quiet he was somewhat on guard. He began to retrace his steps to see if he had forgotten that he invited someone over it turns out he didn’t except anyone over or didn’t offer any shelter for anyone today. “It’s probably just a cat on the roof or something,” thought Yves. But he heard it again. So he turned on the lights and looked around. “Is anyone there?” inquired Yves in a soft voice; he was one of those “inside voice only” people.
Yves then tried to get off the bed and get on the wheel chair. Because of his sickness he had problems moving around, his movements where somewhat slow and predictable. He placed one of his legs firmly on the floor and tried to pull his body to the char. But, because of his fear for the unknown entity somewhere he accidentally pushed his chair away and fell to the floor. “Crap!” though Yves too himself as he used two of his hands to try to crawl to the wheel chair which was now across the room.
