Oh think twice, its another day for You and me in paradise Oh think twice, its just another day for you, You and me in paradise
He awoke by the buzz of his alarm. It was 8 o'clock at night and the suns rays died on the mountains, their blood reaching out to fill the sky with dark purple and maroon. Red at night, sailors delight Thought Gabriel as he pushed himself up off his bed. His strides brought him to the shower, pulling off the clothes that he had slept in he stepped in and turned the blazing water on.
It was a quick shower and he pulled on swim trunks and didn't bother drying. His long strides took him down the stairs of his two story house. Built in the 50's it was an old fashion farm house, remodeled of course to fit the 21st century era.
His gray-green optics swept around him as he opened the back door to his yard. Nicely kept, with a large heated pool, it was a lovely place. The sun reflected off of the pools water as he walked to the edge of the pool. His reflection shone in the water and a slight smirk appeared on his features.
Such a pretty face hid such and evil character, but eh guessed thats how fate worked. Don't ever judge a book by its cover. Most of the time beauty was just skin deep. His eyes flickered up from the water by the sound of giggles. He spotted the source in the yard behind his.
A group of teenage girls were standing on a deck, giggling and looking at him with round eyes. He smiled, inside imagining their blood dripping down his throat as he raised a hand and waved. They squealed and jumped about. He sighed pleasantly and turned without a second thought, jumping into the cool water.
He surfaced on the other end of the pool, taking in some deep breaths before doing some laps across the pools. The ground of girls had left by then, their hooting and high pitched voices fading away. When he was sure that they had disappeared he dove under water, only to surface as a white lion.
The water soaked into his mane and rushed out onto the pavement as he pulled himself out of the water. He shook himself, sending splatters of water everywhere. He let the cool sensation ripple over his broad shoulders and thick muscles. He stretched and padded over to a tree, reaching up and sinking his claws into the bark and tearing it like a scratching posts.
All of a sudden he heard gasps from next door. A young man and women were staring at him, the women squeaked, "Oh my god! Is that a lion?! And look, its completely white!" Gabriel was ready to silence them with a single bound over the fence and on top of their faces when the man blinked and said calmly, "Didn't some rich dude move there, I heard he was loaded, he probably bought the damn thing from Africa. It's probably as tame as a house cat. Rich bastard, he probably moved in just to show off, why else would he move into a crap town like this?" Gabriel's shoulders relaxed and he watched the couple walk away, the man slightly scornful.
The lion smiled twistedly, I moved in to rip open people like you. His tail flicked behind him as he walked away with a slight strut in his limbs, his lion form slowly shifting back when the couple had disappeared. His eyes gazed around the sky as he headed inside, grabbing a towel and drying off. He then pulled on some decent clothes, a blood red button up shirt, black slacks, leather shoes and a black suit jacket to match.
He combed back his soft blond hair, still slightly damp, before heading out the door on his nightly hunt. He looked absolutely stunning, walking down the sidewalk in some trashed up town. He could be anywhere in the world, anywhere at all. But in a small town like this, no one gave a damn if people went missing or were murdered.
Besides, this was the only place that had rumors of other shifters. Two gangs, neither of which he would want to be apart of. They were all just toys, things to watch and kill at his leisure. Shifters were no different than humans, except maybe they were more fun to kill.
He walked silently as the sky darkened, the weekend summer night flaring with life. Most adults would be in bed, but fresh and foolhardy teens would be ripe for the picking. His hands were in his pockets as he elegant stride took him down the cool streets, as the moonless night showed above, lit with thousands of stars.

Have you ever seen a star? Well gosh, of course you have. What about those absolutely brilliant night skies where the whole sky is filled with stars? The dark pigment filled with bright dots scattered in the atmosphere as if they were glitter, dumped by someone out of a bucket. Simply beautiful. Bone had hopes of seeing something like this one day. He tilted his head in curiosity, wondering if maybe, he'd see the sky in its true beauty at Shelpey Alley. He quietly lie under the protection of a small tree, watching the night sky come out.
His gleaming eyes observed the sky in detail of which only a true animal could see through. True animal. That was what Bone is, a true animal. At least, he thought he was. His mind was consumed with thoughts of his shifting. What had happened? It had never happened before, becoming... human. It was unreal. Imaginary. Things that happened when he was told as a pup. Fables. Did that mean he was unreal? Fake? Bone whimpered and set his maw on his paws. The thought did not appeal to him. What did that mean for Bone? Could he possibly get rid of this... curse?
Inwardly, Bone knew it was impossible. This was a part of him. Every day about around the same point in time, his body would automatically change. Unwillingly. Did that mean his will wasn't strong enough? He sighed, of course that wasn't it. Bone was a spirited pup. His will was stronger than any other! The canine dutifully lifted up his head and bobbed it a few times in emphasis, almost looking like he was flinching to a human. Human. Very annoying creatures, yet interesting at the same time.
He had always wished to know why they did the things they did. Why do they were those clothing on them? It's because they have no fur! But that didn't explain their home, or the many things that kept them entertained. Did they really need that? Bone found great pleasure in chasing his own tail. But they don't have a tail... Chasing cats were fun too! Why didn't they do that instead? Cats were fast, yes, but humans could climb trees! Bone had spotted a few of their pups up in a tree once. It had amazed him at first, until he realized all of them could climb them. Why couldn't they chase cats for entertainment? Humans never ceased to confuse him, yet amaze him at the same time.
Bone sneezed in thought, he thought to much. Too much time alone. Too much time to think. Have you ever been lost? To have the feeling of not knowing where you were? To know that, maybe you might not get back to somewhere familiar? It was a horrid feeling. It would not be pleasant, having your thoughts consume your mind on future possibilities. Is something behind that corner? Or in that shadow? It was like hiding in a shell, yes? But Bone wasn't lost, physically at least. He was lost in thought. Can it be the same feeling? Knowing that, something might happen? Possibly. It might not be the same feeling, but it was certainly the same concept.
Bone shook his head, void of all thoughts. He really needed to stop thinking. He would do what he usually did, look at the bright things of like. A routine. It was familiar. Not lost... it was nice to feel comfort wrap him like a blanket. He would know what to expect then. He would not be lost, knowing what would happen. Routine for a puppy is very important. It helps them adjust, be not afraid such as when first adopting a puppy into your home. It was the same fact for Bone, only a little more familiar in acts rather than places. So... what is good about this... ability?
Bone lifted his head back up and looked at the stars. There was more than he last saw, and that was only a few moments ago. He didn't like to think, obviously it left himself more confused than he first started to, but it was familiar. His mind. He knew how it worked. Bone cocked his head to the side, looking at one bright star in particular that shone out to him, reaching him with its bright rays. Bone thought that was him, he was like a star in the sky. He was bright, always thought of thing that made him excited. Happy. Himself. But now, he was this... half human! He groaned, yet inwardly whimpered inside, his heart aching for normalcy.
Bone's ears perked up. He blinked. What was that? He lie under the tree, stiff, ready to run. An enemy? Another dog? A human? A cat? Squirrel? No wait, squirrels didn't make that sound... wait, neither did cats. Dogs were more quiet than that too. If it was a dog it would probably attack him for being in their territory. Then again, dogs that lived with humans tended to not care as much. At least some of them. They were like slaves. Bone shuddered at the thought.
A slave. Always doing what the humans told them to. What would it be like, to... belong to the humans? Bone thought he wouldn't be able to hunt anymore. How could those dogs let them? They had those... pullers that tie around the neck. They can't go where they want to, and they walk obediently by their side! Bone snorted, they weren't free like him, but then he sighed. No, they weren't like him. He was a free canine, able to go where he please. Do what he please and no one could tell him differently. Well, they could try, but he wouldn't listen.
... That sound! This time, Bone was sure he heard it. Was someone playing a trick on him? In a simply thought to cure his curiosity, Bone heaved himself off the ground. He crouched a moment and shook his pelt, ridding of all extra dirt and grass that had clung to his rough coat. Now, where was that sound coming from? Bone blinked and turned his head all around him, brown eyes searching everything. He eyed a few houses that owned dogs, he could smell that from where he was.
He also spotted a few dark houses. They were probably going to bed for all of the night. He didn't think that was so smart. Really, don't you think it would be better to take naps every once in awhile, but be awake most of the time? Bone thought it was much easier, that way he could be awake during most of all day and night. Take a few short naps during the day and you'll be able to be up during the night! That is, if you make sure to take naps then too. It was a little tactic that dogs possessed, at least... free dogs. Bone didn't understand why these dogs slept all night. Wouldn't they want to know what goes on when the world is dark? Maybe not.
Suddenly, a movement caught his eye. There! His box-like head snapped to the movement, eye watching closely. He knew it. It was just a human, but... something was odd about him. Bone wasn't sure what it was and it confused him. Darn it, he hated to be confused! More thinking... what was a human doing out this late? The canine took another glance at his surroundings. This... his nose twitched... male... what was he doing out so late? His keen eyes had not spotted any other, so he was alone. So what was he doing?
Bone whimpered quietly to himself, his head lowered, still locked on the human. He wasn't quit ready to be a hypocrite yet. Bone was alone too. His heart was almost tempted to go to this male for comfort, but his head argued. He was a human and Bone was a free dog. He would never go to a human for comfort. A bright star shined behind the human, unaware of the dog watching from the shadows. Bone picked up his head yet again, ears perked.
That star wasn't there before. Is it the same star? He turned his head up toward the sky, no. That star was still there, illuminating in the bright night sky, more so than all the others. Bone had associated himself with that star. He was that star. The only bright star in the sky. But now... this other star... he looked between the two. Suddenly it appears, as does the human. What did that mean? Bone connected the dots. First he was here, as was the star. Now this male human was here just as this other white twinkle in the sky appears... does this mean he wasn't alone? I'm not alone...?

The silence that engulfed the neighborhood made it seem almost ghostly. His steps were as soft as that of a cats, his high tuned ears catching every sound. So when movement caught his emotionless optics, a soft whimper making him stop dead in his tracks. His head tilted, listening with a predator manner.
All of a sudden his eyes caught the form of a dog, standing under some trees by the sidewalk. Gabriel's eyes flashed and he caught the gaze of the dog, momentary knowing seemed to show in his grey-green optics, but it would be up to the viewer to guess what went on inside of Gabriel's mind.
He didn't care much for dogs, but something was strange about this one. Had it been, Looking at the stars?. Dogs, normal dogs were too dull minded to do such things, they were too busy with their sniffing and scratching, the mangy mutts. Only humans showed this behavior.
Lips curled, a momentary smile as he crouched down to the dogs level, looking like a lion inspecting a fellow, but lowly predator. "All alone on a beautiful night, without a pack to lead or a master to follow. Must be terrible, being so alone." His voice sounded serious, but inside it sneered like venom. Talking with a dog didn't twinge Gabriel as strange, it was a great assumption that this little doggie wasn't ordinary.
Gabriel ran his fingers through his fair hair before continuing, "The stars sing to only those who listen, how strange that a dog can hear their call." His voice was soft like silk, with an English accent to it that made it seem even softer. Gabriel usually spoke strangely, it wasn't common to hear him rambling about things that normal, dull humans would find weird.

Bone groaned inwardly. Neh, humans. He watched with a wary eye as the human walked up to him. As he approached, Bone could fully see what he looked like. This man was certainly tall for starters. He towered over poor Bone, but then again, Bone was only about 3 feet off the ground, dogs were naturally smaller. But more powerful too. He licked his maw in glee as he looked up at the human. He whine in what might have been interrupted as anticipation. Let the human do what he wants and then move on with life.
His skin was a smokey tan under the natural night light. The man was also well-muscled and largely built. Bone mused, he would be fun to wrestle with, but he didn't wrestle with 'his kind'. He snorted as he crouched down with an odd smile. Bone titled his head at him, why was he smiling? When people smiled they're happy. Was he happy? Did he like dogs? Bone wasn't sure if he liked that thought. Would he take him home? No, then he could run with his all mighty speed. No human would catch up.
But... this human, he was strong, large, and looked fairly fit. Could he catch up? Bone knew he was fast, but he didn't exactly have the best endurance. He mused, what would he do if he were caught? The canine suspected to be treated as such. The puller around the neck, being given food... no thrill in life. He'd be taught to obey, be like a slave. But... he had also seen other dogs enjoy time with the humans also. "All alone on a beautiful night, without a pack to lead or a master to follow. Must be terrible, being so alone." His voice was quiet, and almost soothing.
Bone titled his head far to the side, almost so he was looking sideways. The sound vibrations knocked against his sensitive ears, making them louder than originally said. Yes, it was a beautiful night. He was without a pack to lead nor with a master to follow. Master. Bone tasted the word on his tongue. It would be nice to have someone to follow, but a master? He was kind of thinking something more like a leader. Bone kept sliding his head back and forth, thinking, tilting his head at every word.
He ran his long fingers through his light golden hair. Why? Bone wasn't sure, was it a habit? He had a habit at tilting his head at words. He hated that habit, it attracted humans. Couldn't they see that some dogs like him didn't want a home? Maybe they just liked being free, not to be bound in chains. "The stars sing to only those who listen, how strange that a dog can hear their call." Bone softly whined, what? The stars sing? And call? He didn't know about that... he had simply be watching their beauty. Lots of dogs did that, didn't they?
Sometimes during the late hours of the night and the early hours of the morning, he could hear the far distance howls of the dogs singing and calling to one another. Sometimes, blessing the great god for what they had. Bone didn't really howl at the sky, he found it kind of funny, to talk to someone he couldn't see. But he did look up at them, wondering if something or someone, really was there. It reminded him what a big world it was.
Bone hesitantly sat on his haunches and titled his head, he wanted to look boring. Maybe this human would leave him to his own thoughts, not matter how much his thoughts scared him. They helped him sometimes too. His conciseness was funny like that. Bone barked, not caring if he woke anyone up, "But the stars don't have a call. They can't sing either." He knew the person couldn't understand him, but he didn't want to sound like an idiot and talk to himself. Maybe this... curse, or ability, wasn't so bad after all. It might just help him get to know and understand the world he lived in better than he did now. Just maybe...

A low rumble echoed from his thick chest, the dog seemed confused, and it amused Gabriel. He even responded, like he was talking to Gabriel. Of course Gabriel couldn't understand, but it made him wonder. The dog had barked in way that seemed to answer Gabriel's words. Gabriel reached out, scratching the dog under the jaw. Gabriel drew his hand away and looked up at the stars above, his optics shinning with the starts light.
Gabriel stood up, looking at the trees that stood tall around the dog and he. Gabriel's eyes glanced around the street lazily, the humans were safely tucked away in their houses, sleeping softly. Only the slight noise of passing cars in the distance was the only sound of human kind.
Gabriel looked at the dog with a smile, cruel on the inside, sweet on the outside. He would give this pooch a scare, he had a hunch that he wasn't just a dog. Gabriel grabbed one of the lower branches of a large maple. Luckily, the tree was strong and old, with long branches plentiful with leaves.
He climbed up the tree with ease, finding a high thick branch that was strong enough to support him. He crouched on the branch, staring down at the dog before his form melted into that of a white lion. His hair growing out into a mane, his limbs pulling out and ending with paws, and his body rippling out into the large beast that he was.
His eyes, a lighter shade of green now, looked down at the dog with piercing amusement. Hi tail swished behind him, he was crouched on the thick branch, his claws lightly gripping the tree. Whether the dog was a shifter or not, it would be fun to chase him down as he ran.
It mused him, being a lion, a cat, and so much more stronger and bigger than the dog. Dog's usually liked chasing cats, but in this case, it would be the other way around. His pink tongue licked his sharp fangs as a low rumble echoed from his chest, a chuckle that came out as a growling purr in the feline language.
He could easily jump upon the dog and crush him with his weight, he watched with green glowing lanterns in the dark. A predator observing his prey, even if it was another predator. Maybe he would just have some fun with this beast, chase him under the midnight sky. Just because Gabriel was a psychopath, didn't mean that he always hunted for the kill. Scaring people and making them think that they were crazy was another favorite hobby, for who would believe someone if they said a white lion had been chasing them?

Itches. They're so annoying. Bone hated them. He could feel their little bodies crawling all over him. Every time he leaned down to scratch or bite at it, it jumped away! Of course they didn't happen too often. Bone recalled one time when he rolled in a smelly garlic patch to get rid of them. It had worked, but then he smelled so bad he had to take a bath. Oh well. Bone shook his head of all thoughts, willing himself to pay attention to what was at hand.
Bone drew his head slightly back as the man scratched his chin. There was no itch though. He didn't like humans, but at the same time he didn't mind them, they were interesting--the way they acted. No, they never touched him though. People tended to walk away from stray dogs like himself. He liked it that way though, but he wasn't used to being pet like that. He gazed at the man as he looked at the stars. Maybe he liked the night too?
Suddenly the man stood up glancing at the trees. Bone whined, glancing in between the two. Was there something in the tree? His eyes looked over the street, Bone cocked his head around. Was he expecting someone? No on was there. Bone was lost. Confused. It was an annoying thought. He was tempted, against his will, to change and just ask. He wasn't that curious though if it involve a human. Humans are weird like that, they do weird things that canines didn't understand.
The human lowered his head, eyes downcast on the dog before him. He had a nice smile to which Bone looked at. What was he smiling about? Why was he happy? Was there something to be happy about? Bone's ear twitched while he waited, watching. He turned his head away and climbed up into the tree. Stupid humans and their stupid ability to climb trees.
The man climbed up with ease, there were a lot of branches. Bone wondered if he could do the same, there were a lot of branches to hold him. Many were thick and would easily hold him if they held the man. Bone wagged his tail lightly in anticipation, if there was a squirrel up there... he licked his lips at the mere thought.
Bone barked, inwardly trying to get the male to shove it. Mind control. Ha! A mere fantasy, if only. Although would you believe there is such thing? The human mind. A dog mind. A mind. It's a complicated thing. The mind is the central area for the body, it controls the heart, muscles, the veins, everything to make it work. The mind, it controls all reactions. It makes you feel things, touch things, it makes your body move, it makes it work. Now if you can consciously make your ears twitch, or your tag wag, or your feet move, then would it make sense to also stop reactions? Not feel pain? Not work? To make the heart stop? But no, this was different. Bone couldn't do that, he had will power, but not that kind of will power. He couldn't make the male move.
So he stood there, front paws holding his weight against the tree, barking in hopes to make the human move. The human crouched on a thick branch, peering down at him, eyes casting dark shadows. Suddenly his appearance shuddered. Bone whined and came back down on four paws, watching in utter fascination and horror. What was happening? The human, well, was not very human anymore. Bone backed up in fear, his shape becoming longer, taller, and over all bigger. Bigger than Bone. Not human.
Hair grew all over his body, especially his neck. The fur was long, smooth, and had a yellow tinted white hue. Before his brown eyes, lie a creature so large and white, yes... a creature Bone had never seen before. If he could guess though, it was a cat... a very large cat. Wait, a cat. Bone stood his ground, not scared, but not brave either. He wasn't necessarily stu--well yes he was stunned, but he wasn't frozen in shock.
The cat's muscles defined its body, rippling at the calves, paws, neck, all through the tail. It was an off-white color with a slight yellow tint, marked by many black stripes in an unusual pattern. Its jaws were slightly open, lightly panting. Bones eyes widened until you could slightly see the whites, those teeth! They were long and sharp, sharper than Bone's it seemed. Looking at the size of the... thing, Bone could tell that it would really hurt if those jaws clamped on him. Now, he was frozen in fear. This was not just a regular cat.
Bone whimpered, not daring to look away from the creature in case it attacked. Its eyes were lighter, but it still seemed like the same person... person... person... person! But now it was a cat! An animal! Bone had just recently been a human before. Did that mean they were the same? Could he change into that animal also? He didn't want to try. It might just bring up a challenge, one that he might not win.
Bone looked away slightly, still keeping the figure within his sight. No, he did not want to challenge that cat. If he could shift into that cat, then that would mean the cat could change into a dog right? Would he know the dog rules? Hopefully this creature would realize Bone meant to harm. He was just minding his own business. His posture was stiff as he saw a swipe of movement in his vision. Was the cat licking his maw? Bone didn't wasn't ready to be a snack. He was too young to die!

The ivory coated cat smirked down at the dog, who had whimpered and shown fear at him. Gabriel's tail swished, his pupils dilated as he focused on the dog like he would a gazelle in the wild, taking in its every weakness and strength and determining the best way to end its pathetic life. The muscles bulged on his limbs as he leaped down from the tree branch, landing in front of the dog. His paws made no sound on the soft ground, their danger-like claws sliding in and out as he stared the dog down with grassy green eyes.
A soft roar churned from the lion, a snarl that was one of mocking tone rather than a challenge. His chest puffed and he stood tall next to the dog, towering over him like he did as a human. Without warning, he raised a paw and sent it flying. The claws sheathed, he aimed to smack the dog in the shoulder. Gabriel pinpointed the smack to send the dog to the ground, but the dog could very well hold his ground. It would still be painful, with or without claws. For Gabriel's legs were very strong, and using a force like that to hit the dog was like a boxer taking a swing at a practice dummy.
The brute's tail raised upward behind him, the end flicking with its splay of fur. If his paw made its mark and the dog went down, he would plant a firm paw on the dog's side. But if his paw did not fell to dog, or the dog was keen enough to dodge, Gabriel would stay where he was. His massive bodice stood proud and regal, mane swirling down his thickened chest and neck.
Lips parted, showing his gleaming fangs in a cruel smile that he didn't bother to hide. He growled with all the rumble of nearby thunder, "Pray tell me why it would not fair me well to snap you like dead lumber in my jaws and feel your sweet life blood drip down my throat. Tell my why you are not like the other dogs that roam the streets, why you deserve to be spared." Words curled with distaste and pleasure, showing the true Gabriel. His mind did not spark that fact that the dog may not understand his feline tongue, he had assumed the animal kind all spoke the same language.
In fact, his brain wasn't sparking at all right then, it was blazing. Thats the only way he could describe it, a blaze, a rush, the feeling of adrenalin and relaxation combined into one. People thought that psychopathia was bad, that it messed with you and was unpleasant and horrible. But that was exactly the opposite for Gabriel. It was thrilling dangerous, it felt like riding a rollercoaster and letting go. Letting his unstable mind to the work while his body sat back and enjoyed the ride.
His shoulders flexed dangerously, chin raised as his eyes became slits. Threatening he was, insanity he flaunted. He didn't need to spill this dogs blood to make him die, being beaten to death with his powerful paws would be enough. But he didn't need to do that, he didn't really feel like it. Mind games were on his taste tonight, at least for this dog. Males had always tasted bad to Gabriel for some reason. And dogs he guessed tasted even worse. Ladies were more for his liking in blood.

Bone was a hunter, he was the predator. A fierce canine that loved the chase, he lived for it. You know the best scent in the world? The scent of fear as you chase your prey. You know the best sound in the world? The sound of a crow as it squawks its last squawk. You know the best taste in the world? The delicious, juicy, warm flavor of blood as you chew on your new kill. The slight taste of salt flowing down your throat. The smell of fresh, yummy meat. You know the best feeling in the world? The feeling of the best. Bone was the best. He ate the best, saw the best, he felt like the king.
He looked at the giant feline, purring at its chase; him. Was this how the cat felt? Did he feel hungry? Did he want to chase Bone? To rip him up and feed on his blood? Bone shuddered, he finally knew what his prey felt like. He was an animal though, the love of chase would never leave him, but for as long as Bone would live; he would never forget this feeling. The feeling of the prey, the chased, the weak. To know that, the end probably is coming. That you'll never to do what you've always wanted to do.
Bone still had so much he wanted to do. He wanted to have a mate, to have a family. To know that, even if he did get caught, or get killed, or disappear, that his blood would still run on through history. He still wanted to taste the fresh kill of a cat, to know that the dog's long presented enemy fell under his jaws. What did this cat want? Did he want to also feel his enemy fall beneath his claws? To let the world know, that the cat finally killed the dog? To shout out that the cat was the best now?
Bone whimpered to himself and stepped back ever so slightly as the feline fluidly leaped to the ground. The branch shuddered under the weight, but it flung back up like before, leaves flowing to the ground. The cat landed perfectly, no sound whatsoever. Bone's eyes widened, if this cat did kill him, no would hear about it. So... what could he do? The feline watched him carefully, studying every move. Bone had no doubts that the feline had not seen him step back.
The cat opened its maw and light out a quiet roar, almost as if it were mourning, but he knew that was not the case. Bone let out a weak growl of his own in defiance. Yes, Bone was afraid to die. He did not want to die, not like this. Not beaten by a cat. Not afraid for his life. Not prepared. This was not how he imagined, to face death in its eyes. Without a warning, the cat raised its paw and knocked Bone over, sending him to the ground. Bone yelped in pain, he could already feel the blood welling up and sliding down his shoulder.
The grass was tainted with dark spots running deep into the soil. Bone felt as if his shoulder cracked. The slightest movement sent another wave of pain. He whimpered constantly now, oh how he wished a human would show up, any human. At the moment, he could care less if he were caught by a human to be put in chains. He would fight if needed, to be part of their little fighting games. He would be chained to the dirt, never to roam free, to give chase. If only it would get rid of his pain...
The furry feline planted a paw on Bone's chest, causing him to wheeze. He coughed up blood, ribs pressuring his lungs. It was if all the air was sucked out of him. Bone gasped for breath, each time he moved he was painfully aware of the death threat, "Pray tell me why it would not fair me well to snap you like dead lumber in my jaws and feel your sweet life blood drip down my throat. Tell me why you are not like other dogs that roam the streets, why you deserve to be spared."
Bone whimpered but soon shut his vocals, as even that hurt. Every time he breathed, his ribs would hardly move against the massive paw. With one eye closed in pain, he glanced up at the cat. It's jaw was open, sharp fangs glittering under the night light. Only moments ago was Bone glancing up at those stars, but now he found himself under a giant feline, pinned to near death. The cat's words were dark and formal, why... Bone could take an educated guess. He felt as if he were weak, just prey like this cat says he was. Could he have been wrong all along? Was he not the best? Not the dog he thought he could be? Would he not even get the chance?
The cat's muscles tightened momentarily, as if testing their strength. The simple flex made Bone groan. His tail tucked firmly between his legs, he lied his head on the ground in agony. Bone took as deep of a breath as he dared too, "What am I supposed to do..." His voice was quiet and shaken, merely a murmur, "What do you want me to do... I didn't do anything... I was simply looking at the stars... is there any harm in that...?" He breathed deeply as he very nearly fought for his life. Would it matter? If the cat left... Bone's strength was quickly draining. He was only a puppy, he did not have the endurance, strength, speed, or experience to help himself if he were to become alone yet again.((Poor Bone, probably going to have a limp for life. ))
