"I really don't care. if you think you'll do fine by yourself, then just say so. I just need you to answer truthfully if you can keep my from hitting the floor. That's all I'm asking."
Alex glanced worriedly around, feeling every second pressing into his mind, causing his s tress to rise. Actually...that was good, for this case. It'd make his blood pressure go up. He tried not to consider that, and continues with a quick scan of the room.
"What about him?" The boy asked, motioning discreetly to the dark haired teen sitting by himself, watching them with a sardonic grin on his pale face. His appearance didn't cause Alex any hesitation: the secret life he led had taught him from the beginning never to judge people based on their looks. ... Although the boy did look rather odd...
Ah well. "Um, excuse me...?" Alex shyly called, though he felt like he needed to yell at the other in order to get his feeling of urgency out into the open. "D'you think you could help us for a second...?"

"Um, excuse me...?" Danny was quite surprised to see the boy with the cellphone turn his way and call to him. Why would he? Did they need his help with something? "D'you think you could help us for a second...?" Well, that answers my question. I wonder what they need me for...studying...? Well, if he helped them, it would satisfy his curiousity.
Danny got up from his seat and walked over to them, hands in his jacket's pockets. He wore a neutral grin and his eyes were cold; he looked very wary. "I'd be delighted to help you," he said quietly, hoping the other children in the class wouldn't hear him. No use getting everyone involved. "What exactly do you need me to do?" He examined the both of them. Hm...They don't look as though they want to study. The boy looks particularily stressed. This could be more serious than I thought. ...of course, that would be judging a book by its cover. Danny managed to stop himself from laughing. I'm thinking too hard about this..

"Thanks!" Alex breathed a sigh of relief and cast a furtive glance at the teacher. Not looking. And the class...? Another wary scan of the room showed him that everyone else was too occupied to take notice. Okay, good...
"Would you mind helping her to hold me up and keep me from falling? I really need to get out of this test. I'm going to end up fainting, and they should take me to the nurse's office. Or you two could volunteer, too. That'd help you out, if you'd like."
He cautiously avoided mentioning how he would get out of the nurse's room afterwards. Well...he didn't exactly want them to know that he'd end up Shifting to ditch school...hopefully he'd be able to slip away while no one was looking.
Alex stuffed his phone in his pocket, shifting in his chair to face the two.

Alex's head whipped around to glare at the girl. His hands gestured in a calming way. Before he spoke he made sure his voice was collected. "Caela. Sorry," he apologized sincerely, but he was losing patience. "I'm just really stressed right now. But yeah, could you please help Caela and I?"

Amber downright laughed to herself. She held her hand out in front of her mouth attempting to cover it up. Luckily no one seemed to notice as she eavesdrop. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Alex, Alex, Alex... she shook her head. Amber's eyes shined with amusement as she watched the usually cool leader lose his temper. Somebody's impatient. Smiling at the thought she added a little more to her nearly completed sketch; just so it looked like she was working.
When she was satisfied, she straightened her back from its slumping position and leaned her head back over her chair gazing at random things upside down. Although it looked like she was bored, she was eying the desks slightly diagonal from her own spot. She was bored and wanted someone to talk to. Silently screaming in her head she annoyingly thought, Just help them Danny and get back here. Amber's eye slightly twitched causing her to smile at her own actions.
((No one was doing anything so I figured... hey, I'm just adding things here and there. Pay no mind to the stupid little kid here.))

OOC|| okay, I'll post again. Sorry if it feels like I'm jumping ahead, but there's really nowhere to go but forward.

Alex glanced once more toward the front of the room. If he waited any longer, they might run out of time. And he couldn't have that. He made up his mind.
"Catch me," he reminded the two, then kneeled on his chair and proceeded to hyperventilate.
In out in out in out in out in out in out.....
He felt his head grow light and black spots crossed his vision. A definite pressure began to build behind his eyes, pressing in his ears...
In, out, in, out...his heart rate was speeding, and he suddenly sat upright, holding in his breath against the will of his screaming lungs and warped mind.
The black multiplied and his eyes lost their focus, being swept up in a rush of heat to his head...the pressure grew to a roar in his head and blocked his ears. Then he pitched forward, passing out on the spot.
OOC|| Eh, could've been longer. Maybe I'll edit if no one replies right away.

Danny simply gave a short, discreet nod as he reached out to help Caela with the falling boy. He noticed her snide tone when talking to the teacher and smiled wider; that certainly won't help us. But it wasn't like the teacher could refuse. How exactly to you say no when a kid passes out?
"Oh, um, yes!" The teacher said, looking very startled. Clearly, he wasn't used to his students falling unconscience. It makes me wonder what would happen if he was... The raven-haired teen continued to muse on the subject, snapping out of his reverie just in time to feel Caela start to lift Alex. He quickly helped her carry him - it felt as though the girl was supporting most of the weight. We have a point to prove, hm? he thought with a quick smirk.

Alex's head felt fuzzy, and he shook it slightly, letting out a small moan and trying to sit up. A rush of blood pounded his ears, and he obediently lay back down, taking his time to open his eyes. At first, the glaring light was harsh on his sight, but eventually it cleared enough that he could see the tiles on the nurse's office ceiling. He rolled his head to the left and looked across the room to the door. It was ajar, and beyond it he could see the main office. No one else was in the room.
He slowly sat up and perched himself on the edge of the bed. Okay, so the plan must have gone well. He wondered where Caela and the boy -it occurred to Alex that he had never learned the boy's name- had gone. He craned his neck to peer through the doorway again, but he couldn't see anything.
Oh well.
Alex lightly stood up from the small cot and tipoed to the doorway. If anyone comes in, I'll tell them I'm going to the bathroom. He placed one hand on the doorknob and cracked it open another inch, peeking outside. He caught a glimpse of the nurse, turned away, and a few other kids waiting for her attention.
It shouldn't be that hard to get out of here...

OOC|| AND...BEGIN MISSION MAKE CAELA JOIN THE THIEVES: COMMENCE!

"Gah!" Alex jumped back, his hand clutching at his chest as the girl entered the room and closed the door behind her. His bolting eyes slowly grew accustomed to the contrast-induced blindness, his heart beating a mile a minute. "You nearly scared me to death!" He hissed accusingly, sitting heavily on the small cot to catch his breath. "And then I really WOULD have fainted!"
She replied with a slightly sarcastic comment, and Alex glowered at her from under a fringe of hair. "Makes me wonder how you are gonna get out without being spotted by someone."
He cast her a defiant glare, but she seemed totally smug, leaning against the wall. He sat up and faced her. "Well, for your information, I DO have a plan. And it's a top secret plan. Like, private-eyes-only kind of secret plan. Meaning, not-for-your-eyes. So if you don't mind...?"
Hell, he figured she'd mind. Without even waiting for her response he stood up to make his way to the door. "I'm going to the bathroom," he announced.

Alex glowered at the girl and leaned heavily against the door. A girl? His pride wouldn't let him live that down, but on the other hand, Shifting was a HUGE secret. He couldn't just tell anyone! He could get caught!
He let out an annoyed huff. Maybe....maybe she'd think she was delusional. Or...maybe he could trick her into leaving. Or letting him leave.
"Okay, fine. But seriously, I need to get into the bathroom in order for it to work. It's....well, I'm not lying." And as a matter of fact, nope, he wasn't. He was NOT going to shift in the middle of the room and then leave through the busy nurse's office. He was planning on slipping out the back, from the high window that was in the small bathroom. If he was remembering correctly, it led to the backside of the school, where he could easily slip off the property. Of course, if Caela didn't believe him even NOW, there wasn't really anything short of bringing her into the bathroom with him that would convince her.
"Okay, so I'm planning on climbing through the window in the bathroom. You know where it leads, out in the back, right? I'm going to crawl out through there and then run into the woods behind the school. Is that enough information for you?"
