Trinell snickered at Kyo's comment, knowing she couldn't refute it simply because it was completely true. So instead, she turned her attention to the puppy and had to suppress a smirk as the little girl started getting angry, her little hackles rising and reminding Trinell of Andrei when he saw something he didn't like.
"I am fine! I'm not fragile, you know! Just because my parents died doesn't mean I'm hurt or anything! I'm just a little sad is all." She barked angrily before turning her back to Trinell. Trinell had a pleasantly surprised look on her face before she started grinning, a slow chuckle bubbling up her throat and out of her maw as she rose to her feet.
She said nothing as Kuro managed to get her name out of her and let her tail wag playfully as she stepped over to the young puppy, who she towered over with her full-grown body. Smirking, Trinell gently swiped at one of Yuuki's ears before setting the paw on her back, right between her shoulders blades and holding it there lightly. Just as a precaution. "Now, I never said you were fragile, little miss attitude. And it doesn't mean that you're not hurt. Did you ever stop to think that you might get sick?" Features softening, Trinell removed her paw from Yuuki's back and set it on the ground. Faintly, she noticed the upbeat song playing at the base of her ears. What was it? Something by 30H!3, she knew that much. A few moments and some lyrics longer, and Trinell was chuckling lightly. Oh, she knew what song it was, alright. It was "Don't Trust Me" by 3OH!3.
Turning back to Yuuki, Trinell flicked her ear slightly as she heard Kuro get up and leave to go get another rabbit. A serious look took over her face and the fay wasted no time and moving so that she was staring Yuuki in the eyes, her tail rising high to show her dominance. "Now, I'm not going to hurt you or anything, but I will not hesitate to let you know if I don't like something. I can't leave you on the streets like this so I'm going to take you in and you can hang out with Andrei, who is 7 in human years." Trinell paused, her eyes never leaving Yuuki's. "Also, if you push me, I will pop you a bit with my paw. It might sting a little, but it will be just used to knock some sense into you. If you force me to go farther, though, it will gradually start to hurt more." Trinell relaxed her gaze then and let her ears and tail drop some.
"I don't want to hurt you at all, but I will not tolerate disobedience or disrespect. I'll treat you the way you treat me, unless I feel otherwise. Okay?" Lying down close to the puppy, Trinell sighed and thumped her tail a few times. "And I'm sorry if I offended you earlier. I wasn't trying to. I was just worried." Trinell blinked as she heard Kuro returning and sniffed at the air lightly; he had been successful in catching another rabbit.
Snorting lightly in amusement, Trinell watched him reappear with the plump rabbit only to flop down and set the rabbit before himself. Trinell rose to her paws and made her way over to the other animal and was just closing her jaws around it as Kuro spoke.
"You get to eat with Trinell. I don't share my meal with anyone that's not mine." He said, stopping Trinell in her tracks as she grabbed the other rabbit in her jowls.
Blinking, Trinell closed her jaws and studied Kuro seriously for a moment. Hadn't he originally gotten the rabbit for them to share? Before Yuuki had been found? Confusion settled on Trinell's face. And he didn't share with anyone that wasn't his? As far as Trinell knew, she wasn't his. Sure, she liked him enough to go out with him if he would let her, but that was beside the point. She wasn't his just yet.
"You don't share with anyone who isn't yours, Kuro?" She said calmly, grabbing the rabbit up and taking it back over to Yuuki. She set it carefully on the ground before speaking again, a curious light in her bright green eyes. "What, exactly, do you mean by that? Because, from what I understood, you were going to share this rabbit with me before you stumbled along Yuuki here." She nodded slightly at the puppy before sitting down and skillfully biting into the rabbit to open in the widest without too much bloodspill or spillage of internal organs. She absently licked the blood off her lips, not thinking about it as she took a bite out of the rabbit.
She would give Yuuki most of the rabbit, since she was younger and needed it more than Trinell did. Trinell knew she could survive the night infinately better than Yuuki could, even on a mostly empty stomach. Besides, Trinell was going to be forced to eat a bowl of soup when she got back home, anyways. DJ always made sure she did, after all. He definately wasn't her best friend for no reason.

Kyo ignored most of their conversation, eating the rabbit while it was fresh. He was quite hungry, this would be his first meal of the day. It was unusual how raw meat tasted so good as a wolf, but repelled him as a human. Different forms came with different taste buds, he guessed. He didn't like chocolate much in either of them, though. And in one, it was even killer!
Yuuki didn't move as the paw was placed on her back, but she did turn her head and look back at Trinell. "Now, I never said you were fragile, little miss attitude. And it doesn't mean that you're not hurt. Did you ever stop to think that you might get sick?" Sick? Yuuki had never been sick. Her mom and dad had been sick before, but not her. She was good at not being sick. Something about an Immune System. "I never get sick!" Yuuki said, turning around. She'd mostly forgotten her anger at that point, never able to stay focused on one thing for too long, as puppies were.
"Now, I'm not going to hurt you or anything, but I will not hesitate to let you know if I don't like something. I can't leave you on the streets like this so I'm going to take you in and you can hang out with Andrei, who is 7 in human years." The bigger canine spoke to Yuuki. The small words were appreciated. "So how old is he in Dog years, Trinell?" Yuuki said curiously, following the wolf as she went. She was following the path of a bird while Trinell talked about hitting her, so she sort of missed that part of the conversation. She was brought back to them when she ran into Trinell's back leg.
"I don't want to hurt you at all, but I will not tolerate disobedience or disrespect. I'll treat you the way you treat me, unless I feel otherwise. Okay? And I'm sorry if I offended you earlier. I wasn't trying to. I was just worried."
"Oh, it's okay! I don't really care about stuff like that anyway! I just wanted to play!" Yuuki exclaimed, bouncing onto Trinell's back when the Wolfess lay down. She snuggled up between her shoulder blades and just stared at the sky. She jumped down at the prospect of food though, and began pinching away bites from the rabbit, new to the taste of fresh meat.
"What, exactly, do you mean by that? Because, from what I understood, you were going to share this rabbit with me before you stumbled along Yuuki here." Kyo had finished is rabbit already, and was laying with his eyes closed and head on his paws when Trinell spoke. His muzzle was surprisingly clean of all blood, as was his paws. The carcass of his dinner was nowhere to be seen. Oh the wonders he could do when people weren't watching.
"...I was going to share it with you. And I meant what I sa- Wait. I forgot to tell you. Oops. Shift and I'll give you the answer to your question." Kyo said, a deceiving smile on his features as he shifted. He was sitting after his shift, leaned back on his hands and watching Trinell. Waiting patiently for her to Shift.

Trinell pulled away from the rabbit as Yuuki began eating, smiling softly at the little pup. She was so energetic that Trinell knew she'd get along fine with Andrei. Without thinking about it, Trinell dropped her head and licked Yuuki between the ears affectionately. She couldn't help it; Yuuki was just too cute!
She turned her attention to Kuro then only to blink in confusion. There wasn't a trace of rabbit or blood near or on him. Eyes widening slightly, Trinell felt an amused grin tug on her lips only for confusion to take control again as the larger wolf began speaking.
"...I was going to share it with you. And I meant what I sa- Wait. I forgot to tell you. Oops. Shift and I'll give you the answer to your question." He Shifted then and sat back on his arms, a mischievous smirk on his face.
Trinell watched him warily for a second before shrugging and Shifting. Since they were a couple of feet apart, she skooched herself closer before sitting back on her calves, her legs tucked neatly underneath her body. "You were saying...?" She asked, somewhat wary but with a bright gleam in her eyes. She had no real idea what he was going to do, but somehow... somehow, she knew she'd like it.

Yuuki barked when she was licked between the ears. It wasn't of dislike, just surprise. She had been completely zoned in on the rabbit and not expecting it, so it was a bit of a shock.
"You were saying...?" She said after scooting closer to him and shifting. She was looking at him with her emerald eyes, sitting there completely innocent. Oh, how surprised he wanted to make her.... Give into temptation or cave under it, they say. So why not give in first?
Kyo quickly leaned forward and kissed her. It was a gentle, loving kiss, not forceful at all. He knew how to be loving, towards a few people. He pulled away and smiled as he spoke to her. "I was saying, 'Won't you be mine?' " Kyo said sweetly.

Trinell sat patiently, waiting for Kyo to exlpain what he meant, while relaxing completely. It was one of the few times she could relax completely, actually. At the cemetery in the middle of the night with Kuro. She wasn't expecting anything to go jumping at her any time soon, except for maybe Yuuki.
So, it was easy to tell that she was stunned when Kuro leaned in suddenly and pressed his lips against hers in a gentle kiss that had her cheeks turning a faint pink and her brain skidding to a sudden halt. Before she could react, kiss him back like she wanted to, he was pulling away and smiling at her softly.
"I was saying, 'Won't you be mine?'" He asked sweetly, and Trinell's cheeks quickly flushed to a noticable red as a wide smile spread over her lips. She nibbled on her lower lip for a split second before laughing and tackling Kuro.
"Of course I will!" She replied happily. She hugged him tightly and laughed, feeling happier than she had a long while. Pulling back from him a bit, she brushed her hair out of her eyes and let him see the full blast of her glowing emerald eyes and bright smile. "Does this mean I can call you Kyo now?" She snickered, feeling playful.

"Of course I will! Does this mean I can call you Kyo now?"
Kyo was tackled to the ground unexpectedly. Trinell seemed more than overjoyed, which he hadn't expected. He couldn't say it didn't rub off on him though, because it did. It really, really did.
"I, Kyo, Give you, Trinell, My girlfriend, permission to call me whatever embarrassing name you like, Trinell!" Kyo snickered, unmoving from their position. Until Yuuki jumped between them, of course.
'Bark. Bark!' Yuuki woofed happily, wagging her red tail from side to side. Kyo stroked her head, chuckling. "Silly princess. Can't you read the mood?" He laughed while petting her. She barked again and wagged her tail, then jumped onto Trinell. She lapped at Trinell's face, jumping to try and reach. She was quite short compared to the huge adult figures.
It was quite obvious who yuuki had decided to attach herself to. But Kyo really didn''t mind. Because he was attached to Trinell, too.

Trinell gave Kyo a bright smile and tightened her hug for a moment before loosening it again. Just as he began speaking, too. "I, Kyo, Give you, Trinell, My girlfriend, permission to call me whatever embarrassing name you like, Trinell!" He laughed, making the green-eyed wolf start snickering along with him.
She wasn't one to call people embarrassing names, normally, but if she found a good one she'd slip it in occasionally. As it was, she really didn't have any embarrassing names to call Kyo by. Of course, she wouldn't let him know that yet. "Awesome! I won't be too mean, promise." She snickered, grinning from ear to ear. What a way to spend a birthday, really. It had started out so sadly only to turn around completely.
Trinell pulled back a bit as Yuuki pushed her way between the two, barking and wagging her tail happily. Eyes glowing with humor, Trinell ran her hand along Yuuki's neck and back gently and smiled brightly down at the young animal.
"Silly princess. Can't you read the mood?" Trinell had to snicker a little as Kyo said this, but only a little. Yuuki began to demand more of her attention as she started licking the wolf shifter's face all over, doing her best to reach the taller girl. Trinell laughed and grabbed Yuuki's head before pressing an amused kiss to her forehead.
"Yuuki, baby, calm down!" She laughed, sitting back a bit to pull her face out of reach of the energetic pup. "Oh yeah, you're gonna get along great with Andrei, Yuuki dear. You both are so energetic!" Chuckled Trinell, happy and amused. She released Yuuki only to smile down at Kyo. He looked happy.
Smiling joyously, Trinell leaned down quickly and pressed a light kiss against his lips before snickering and drawing back again. Almost giddily, she said, "Tohma, Faline, and Feich are gonna have to forgive me this year. This is definately my best birthday yet." At this, she started rubbing her cheeks and laughing. They were beginning to ache from her constant big grin and, despite the pain, she couldn't keep the smile off her face. She knew why, of course. It was because of Kyo. He'd pulled that on her and caught her totally off-guard (which she didn't mind, really). He had effectively taken her fully depressed mood and turned it into a much happier mood; definately happier than she normally was. All because Kyo liked her and let her know it in a totally obvious way.

Kyo just smiled even after Trinell kissed him; he was happy. He wouldn't hide that, either. Not from Trinell, not from Mike, not from anyone. He genuinely loved Trinell. And she loved him back. And that was all he needed. Even if he was homeless and lived in a box, with no job or good clothes, he was (fairly almost sorta pretty) sure that Trinell would still love him.
He saw the sun rise and rose to his feet, pulling Trinell up with him. "Trinell, it's not your birthday anymore. You spent your day with them, can you spend this one with me?" He asked, a content smile on his face as he didn't release her hand. "Of course; we won't be going very far. To your house and the sofa or floor is where I'll be, since we're going to be dead asleep all day. But at least we'd still be together, right?" Kyo chuckled, looking down at Yuuki. She was just watching and wagging her tail, silent. What a good girl she was. Good, good girl. [Sarcasm.]

OOC//: I'm feeling too lazy right now to get the code for Trinell's PT so it'll have to do without it for now. I might come back later and put it in here but who knows, I might not. IC//: Trinell smiled peacefully as she relaxed against Kyo, the lightening of the area and her internal clock telling her that it was time for the sun to begin rising. And when it was up, so too did Kyo rise and pull her up with him, a smile gracing his lips still. "Trinell, it's not your birthday anymore. You spent your day with them, can you spend this one with me? Of course; we won't be going very far. To your house and the sofa or floor is where I'll be, since we're going to be dead asleep all day. But at least we'd still be together, right? He asked her, Trinell snorting an amused chuckle but nodding nonetheless. She stretched her cold, stiff limbs out and smiled at their conjoined hands, then farther down at Yuuki who was staring up at them and wagging her tail happily. She would be a handful but Trinell was alright with that. After all, she wasn't exactly easy to handle either. "I'll gladly spend this day passed out in my apartment with you, Kyo. I'll even spend the time after we wake up with you, just because you're special like that." She grinned, winking at him and beginning to lead the way to her apartment. ~*~TIME SKIP~*~ Trinell woke slowly hours later warm, happy, and curled up under the thick black comforter that covered her blessedly soft bed. She hummed sleepily in the back of her throat, barely able to be considered half-awake, and stretched languidly under the blanket before rolling over and out of bed, landing softly on the balls of her feet. Arms rising sleepily over her head in a pleasant stretch, Trinell padded her way slowly out of her room and down the hall without really noticing anything, passing the living room with its comfy couch and recliner in favor of going straight to the refrigerator in the kitchen and pulling the door open. Bending down slightly to look sleepily at the various items in the well-stocked fridge, she absently scratched an itch on her calf below the edge of her training shorts and grabbed a jug of cranberry juice and a handful of white grapes. Popping one of the grapes into her mouth she kicked the refrigerator door shut and walked further into her kitchen, setting the jug of juice down on the black marble counter before reaching up and into one of the cabinets for a tall, clear glass which she quickly filled with juice. Leaning against the cold counter in calm relaxation, she leisurely drank her juice and hummed quietly in the back of her throat to some random tune. She didn't notice how the rock against her lower back was freezing cold, or how her skin and the rock slowly began to even out with their temperature difference. She flinched harshly, however, as a cold drop of water fell against her unprotected belly and snapped wide awake, her eyes fixing on the clear drop that was slowly beginning to make its way down the flat plane that was her stomach. She blinked curiously then wiped the drop away, popping another grape into her mouth and eating it happily. Last night had been her birthday and like all others it had been long, cold, and saddening. At least until Kyo showed up it had been. A soft smile curled her lips at the thought of the other wolf Shifter and she drunk some more of her cranberry juice. Kyo. Now he was an interesting person if anyone was. She didn't know what to make of him but she didn't mind, oddly enough. She seemed to be perfectly fine with not being able to completely figure him out quickly. She had a feeling she would have plenty of time to figure him out anyways. Gentle smile still keeping control of her lips, she finished off her cranberry juice and pushed off the now-warm counter to set it in the sink, popping another grape in her mouth all the while.
