Hani watched Alex as he looked around the graveyard. Was he watching for someone, perhaps expecting someone? She followed his survey, not wanting to be caught off guard, if someone happened to sneak up on her. His slight edge in turn made her cautious, though generally speaking that was probably a good thing, Hani wouldn’t want to be too comfortable, given the situation.
”Well, see, what I’m looking for is something of a secret. ‘Outside’ people can’t know about it. So, unless you’re not an outside person, I can’t tell you.” Alex’s attempt at an explanation had left Hani puzzled. ‘Outside’ people? People outside of what? And what kind of secret were they keeping from these ‘outside’ people? There was one thing Hani settled on, though. Alex definitely wasn’t an ‘outside’ person, whatever he was.
Thankfully Alex had caught himself during the explanation, putting a halt to Hani’s mental stutter. Her thoughts quickly came to a stop as she paused to listen. “Let me rephrase that; have you ever heard of the two different gangs in this city?” Oh course she had. She might have been new to Shelpey Alley, but there was plenty of gossip hovering around, readily available to anyone willing to listen.
“Yes, I know about the gangs. What about them?” She was far beyond confused. “And I’m not entirely sure...” Hani began the sentence, unsure of how to complete it. She paused a moment before continuing, her mouth slightly ajar, and her eyes wide with curiosity. “What kind of secret are you trying to protect?”
This entire situation was beginning to make Hani nervous. Her expression wasn’t as determined, and her mouth had settled into a small frown. Despite herself she still held steady eye contact, not willing to lower her guard.

What kinds of things did she know about them? Did she think that they were violent groups of angsty teenage delinquents, or did she set aside those stereotypes and could see how the gangs were more like a closely-knit family of not-so-normal kids? He thought about this, and pondered upon how to get the information across without her keeping up any possible prejudices against them.
Hani started to ask him something, but then seemed to stop and reconsider her words. Alex waited patiently for her to continue, listening intently as she posed her question. "What kind of secret are you trying to protect?"
Well, there was almost no getting around that question. Its answer was way too close to home for comfort, and Alex would need a lot of time to craft an answer that didn't tell Hani anything useful, but seemed to satisfy her question. Alex had been planning to give her the answer in stages, although it now seemed that her curiosity was getting the better of her, and he'd have to give her the whole story almost at once. Here we go.
"Well, whatever stories about violence and crime you may have heard about the gangs, please disregard them for the time being. The gangs aren't focused on vandalism, or drugs, or killing people. They shouldn't even be called gangs. That's just what the police call us, because they don't know any better. Because they're 'outsiders', and we don't plan to tell them anything any time soon." Alex had realized a little late that he had started to switch pronouns from third person plural to first. He noted that Hani probably would have made that connection by now that he was in one of the gangs. Oh well. He would have had to have gotten around to that point eventually.
"The secret...well, I'm sure that if you think about it hard enough, it'll dawn on you. Remember how I said I found a shapeshifter? Did it strike you odd that I didn't seem shocked by this?" Feeling mysterious as always, Alex grinned slightly and leaned forward, green eyes shining. "It's because neither of us are outsiders. We both share the same secret."

OOC|| OKAY SO HERE'S WHAT'S APPARENTLY GOING TO HAPPEN IF THIS PLOT THING WORKS. There WILL be an Assassin post coming up soon, most likely either by Toki or DJ. Alex was right when he heard that there was an Assassin meeting going on, and so now he's stuck in quite a pickle. (A dill pickle, by the way. Not a sweet one. XP) There's going to be a kind of skirmish that takes place, during which Rohjyx tells Alex that he's killed Amber. (Which is currently going on in the Park Reserve thread). At that point, a larger battle will take place, with other Thieves and Assassins getting involved. Possibly other loners could get caught in the crossfire, too, and have to fight in order to protect themselves? Police officers Maves and Douglas will hear the commotion and be drawn to the scene, where they witness a few people changing into animals. They'll storm in and arrest those individuals, while the people and animals who are in the clear scatter. Then something about....stuff. We haven't gotten quite that far, I don't think. But this thread here is looking like it's going to turn out to be the one that plays a key role in starting the war. :3

Moonlight gleaming off his pelt and reflecting off his eyes were the only hint as to Rohjyx's being near as he slipped silently through the graveyard, leaving behind an interesting meeting with his Assassins. They had been discussing the Theives, which wasn't unusual, and trying to figure out why they were being so quiet. There wasn't much going on with them at all, and it made Rohjyx even more wary and suspicious. What were they planning? For surely, they had to be planning something.
Pausing, Rohjyx lifted his head from where it had been level with his body and looked around, powerful ears flicking towards each sound that he heard. He could hear...talking? He recognized his Second's voice, but who else was there?
Rohjyx almost decided to just go home and ask Roscoe about it later. But something in his gut told him to check it out, and with a slightly wary feeling churning inside him he padded over to where he could hear Roscoe. He Shifted before entering the clearing.
The sight he got made his ice eyes narrow and, glaring darkly at Alex and the girl, Rohjyx spoke to Roscoe. "Roscoe, care to explain why you've yet to capture that fox?" Stakling forward a few steps, Rohjyx neared the Thief.
"And you. What are you doing in my territory anyways?" He snapped, the growl in the back of his throat becoming lower.

"Well, whatever stories about violence and crime you may have heard about the gangs, please disregard them for the time being. The gangs aren't focused on vandalism, or drugs, or killing people. They shouldn't even be called gangs. That's just what the police call us, because they don't know any better. Because they're 'outsiders', and we don't plan to tell them anything any time soon."
Hani’s brow wrinkled, her expression a mixture of confusion and sympathy. She felt Alex’s passion regarding the topic. The gang was more like a family to him, and he disliked the slander that was spread about them. “I understand.” Hani said lightly, shrugging a shoulder slightly. She listened carefully as he continued to speak, holding her breath as he leaned in closer, preparing for the climax of his speech. "...It's because neither of us are outsiders. We both share the same secret." Hani’s face was blank. She felt a singe of emotion. Shock, wonder, confusion, curiosity, all forming in the pit of her stomach. In that instant she felt connected to Alex, a stranger that she had just met.
Did that mean there were more shifters, a part of both the city’s gangs? Her green eyes were wide, her mouth forming a small O. Hani had more than a mouthful of questions to ask, but her optimism was short lived as a dark voice spoke, coming from nearby.
Instantly, she turned to the speaker, stung by his hostility. "Dangerous talk to be blathering on about, don't you think, Alex?” The way Alex had approached the subject before had made the topic seem like a taboo, not to be shared with a stranger, but Hani had no idea that it was so important, if that’s what the stranger was angry about. “What the hell do you think you're doing here?" The voice shivered down Hani’s spine, as he spoke to Alex. This was beginning to feel like a place she didn’t want to be. She flinched inward as Roscoe glared at her. She moved towards Alex, stopping by his side, facing the stranger. She hoped that Alex would turn out to be a reliable ally, in whatever was to come. Hopefully, there would be no fight. Hani didn’t know how well she could hold her own against a full grown male.
Hani exhaled shallowly as the stranger moved towards Alex, stopping in front of them. His voice was quiet, full of venom. Hani clenched her fist to keep it from shaking. "You have ten seconds to get your hide out of here - and her's too - before I turn you in myself. You were a fool to come here. Get out." So, he was angry that Alex was here, in the cemetery? Suddenly it dawned on Hani. It was probably another shifter, a part of the enemy gang. The cemetery was under their control, and Alex was trespassing. They would be lucky if this didn’t break into a fight.
Relaxing slightly, as the stranger backed away, she shot a glance at Alex, ready to leave on his cue.
She nearly jumped, another figure coming into view, glaring at her and Alex. The way he spoke led Hani to believe that he was a superior to the other male. The situation was indeed getting a lot worse, a lot faster. She had a feeling that she was in over her head. Gulping, a dark thought crossed her mind. Maybe I could slip out of here. The decision could save her rear, but potentially leave Alex at the mercy of these two. She wasn’t the one trespassing, Alex was. Unsure of what to do, she held her place, watching the new figure, her breath uneven.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g105/iluvk9s101/Alexbg.png] Alex could sense Hani's curiosity peak, and he felt assured that she believed his words. He smiled- not the mysterious kind of grin he had been showing before, but a smaller and more personally genuine smile. There was a kind of unspoken understanding between them, the kind that only comes from knowing that you've met another person who lives the same kind of dangerously different lifestyle as you do. He was about to speak again, when a threatening voice sliced through the darkness and froze his words in his throat with its cold hostility.
"Dangerous talk to be blathering on about, don't you think, Alex?"
The teenager stayed stock still, not taking his eyes from Hani even though the voice came from the shadows behind him. Alex's face hardened as the predicament he had been hoping to avoid came true. Well shit.
The fox shifter's gaze turned to one of slight warning, hoping that Hani wouldn't try to backtalk Roscoe and start some kind of scene. He patiently spun himself around to confront the voice of the Second in Command of his rival gang, arms calmly crossed across his chest and head tilted up in a sightly challenging stance. It was a show of confidence, but iIt didn't take away from the fact that inside, Alex was downright nervous. He had enough sense to know that this situation was not in his favor. He felt insanely grateful for the fact that he had an unspoken truce between himself and Roscoe, otherwise he might be pinned against a tree with bared fangs pressed against his neck at this very moment.
"What the hell do you think you're doing here?" Roscoe demanded in a quiet fury. Alex shrugged one shoulder, eyebrows high, looking rather nonchalant.
"What do you think I'm doing? I'm spying, of course. That's the only reason I'd be here, unless I had a death wish."
Sure, it probably wasn't the best answer to give, but he had a gut feeling that there was a kind of mutual respect between himself and the Doberman shifter. Roscoe's sparking eyes flickered to Hani for a moment, and the latter took a small step closer to Alex. The teenager felt a protective urge overcome him, and he made a mental promise to himself to get Hani out of this mess safely, no matter the cost. He had just met her: this wasn't her business. And yet, he'd been caught talking to her, and Roscoe might think that she was in on the gang activities. There was no way that the Assassins would let her go if they thought that was the condition.
Thankfully, Roscoe glanced away, almost seeming nervous, before regaining his wits and striding right up to the Leader of the Thieves. "You have ten seconds to get your hide out of here - and her's too - before I turn you in myself. You were a fool to come here. Get out."
The Second in Command backed off again, the air about him seeming even more anxious. Alex frowned slightly, wondering about Roscoe's behavior, , but recognized the chance at escape when we was offered it. But before he could even make a move to turn, another voice cut through the tension, sending chills down Alex's spine. A figure slunk into the clearing, icy blue glare trained on the three people standing there. Alex felt his stomach flip. Fuck/
"Roscoe, care to explain why you've yet to capture that fox?" Alex did all he could to keep from taking a nervous step back as Rohjyx approached, gazing accusingly at the assembled trio. Fuck, fuck, fuck,
"And you. What are you doing in my territory anyways?" Rohjyx snarled.
Alex did allow himself to take a step back, and as he did so, he dropped his arms from where they had been crossed over his chest. His hands slunk uneasily to his hoodie's pockets, where they fingered the cell phone inside the right one. Alex swallowed, wishing he could buy himself some more time. He definitely was NOT about to give Rohjyx the same answer he had just given to Roscoe. His fingers played with the softkeys on the exterior of his phone. He honed the nervous habit, eyes flickering warily to Rohjyx's seething face. Alex's mind worked quickly under the sudden pressure.
"Well," he started, voice tight. Another mental check on his phone; hopefully he wouldn't make any typos. That would leave him dead. He nodded towards Hani. "I was following her. She was in our territory earlier this evening, and was acting pretty suspiciously. I was worried that she was a spy." Deep in his pocket, his thumb tapped the send button, and he paused a moment, hoping that it wouldn't seem too obvious.
"So I decided to follow her here, to the cemetery, even though it's in your territory. I was planning to just pass through and be on my way. So, if you don't mind-"
A sudden 8-Bit type of sound erupted in the middle of the cemetery from their little gathering, and Alex was startled. The sound of a bouncy drum beat lead the into to the music.
"You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed, sing like a bird, dizzy in my head-"
The cheery ringtone did more to confuse him than to help lighten his mood. He had called Amber from his own cellphone in his pocket...and that was her ringtone...but why was it here, and she wasn't? Was she hiding just out of sight? He blinked, darting a quick glance to Rohjyx's face. Expecting it to be just as startled as Alex was himself, the fox shifter took in his slightly smug expression and feeling his heart sink through the ground. Oh...god. No way-
Rohjyx calmly retrieved the ringing device from his pocket, and Alex felt all hope of getting out of there alive come crashing down around him.

Rohjyx listened to Alex's excuse indifferently, not really caring what he was saying. He was in his territory, a place the fox knew he wasn't supposed to be, and so Rohjyx had no reason to show mercy. In fact, he was half-tempted to take the little Thief leader in as a POW, almost. The guilds weren't quite at war, just yet. Oh, Rohjyx knew they would be soon but even he couldn't pinpoint when exactly. He hoped it was soon, though.
Roscoe, however, he listened to. The Doberman Shifter sounded honestly enraged and Rohjyx could feel pride twitch inside him at the cruel smirk he was giving the fox. That was something he knew would send many Assassins and Thieves alike scurrying for a place to hide. However, despite Roscoe's words, Rohjyx couldn't help but feel a little suspicious and it caused his ice eyes to darken ever so slightly. Of course, Roscoe would probably notice it; he usually was able to tell Rohjyx's mood almost as well as the Rohjyx himself.
His eyes flicked back to Alex as soon as he saw movement and they watched his hands twitch inside his pocket for a moment before going back to glaring at the Thief's face. He was up to something, Rohjyx could tell. But what?
He got his answer as soon as he felt the phone in his pocket vibrate and a slow, dark smirk curled on his lips. Oh, so that's what he was doing.
"You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed, sing like a bird, dizzy in my head-"
Reaching into his pocket slowly, he pulled the phone out of his pocket and, with languid movements, answered the call and pressed the phone to his ear. "Why, I'm sorry Alex, but Amber can't answer right now. She's a bit busy at the moment. Why, you ask? Oh, she's learning how to be a worm motel at the park reserves of course." He said happily, his eyes locked on Alex's stunned face the entire time. Oh, how he loved that expression. The expression that told all, even if the owner willed it to do otherwise.
"What's the matter? I thought foxes were supposed to be witty and smart." Roscoe's smirk iced over, growing colder and crueler. "Cat got your tongue?" That comment alone almost burned up Rohjyx's suspicion completely; unfortunately for Roscoe, 'almost' was they keyword there. A small bud of confusion remained and Rohjyx decided (with some annoyance) to check it out later, after he had dealt with the little brat before him.
Rohjyx couldn't help the sadistic glee that made his smirk turn into a dark grin that spread across his face, revealing well-cared for teeth. "Your poor Amber won't be answering her phone again, Alex, my boy. She's dead." Rohjyx paused for a moment then let an evil little chuckle slip through his lips. "And not only is she dead, little fool, she's dead by my hand." He couldn't help it, nor could he stop it. The devilish little laugh that slipped through his lips and threatened to turn into full-blown laughter refused to die and, to be honest, Rohjyx didn't mind too much. He was almost giddy with the amusement and that raced throug his veins at Alex's reaction to the news of Amber's death.
OOC//: Sorry if it sucks, guys. =\ I'm not too happy with it personally, but if yall don't mind I guess it's okay. -shrugs-

BIC|| "Roscoe, care to explain why you've yet to capture that fox?"
Alex's eyes warily turned to Roscoe as the SIC assumed a much nastier tone than he had previously been using. It seemed like their understood truce had just been shattered. The fox shifter felt a swell of anxiety rise in his pounding heart. Roscoe could be just as bad as Rohjyx when he got pissed enough: and now, he had gotten himself caught in their territory, trespassing with a stranger. Alex was still watching Roscoe as he turned to glare furiously at the younger. "What's to catch?" He spat leeringly. "This scrawny little weed wouldn't have gotten anywhere if he had tried to run anyway. I was just hoping maybe the leader of the Thieves would be a little bit more.... fun."
Anger and adrenaline mixed in Alex's blood, and he felt his skin flush hot at the insult. Bristling in retaliation, his hands clenched into fists in his pockets, where he was still waiting for his backup call to go through to Amber's phone. Don't you DARE fucking mess with me, Roscoe, he felt like growling, but at that moment, a cellphone's ringtone cut him off from taking any action.
Alex stared in shocked horror at Rohjyx as the Assassin pulled a familiar phone from his pocket, flipped it open, and hit the talk button. A smirk lit his face as he lifted the device to his ear, watching Alex's expression with devilish amusement. "Why, I'm sorry Alex, but Amber can't answer right now. She's a bit busy at the moment." He answered. "Why, you ask? Oh, she's learning how to be a worm motel at the park reserves of course."
Rohjyx chuckled darkly as he took the phone in both hands and steadied it in front of him. With a sickening crack, he snapped the phone in half at the hinges and tossed the ruined remains to Alex. The broken phone skidded to a pitiful stop at his feet, the pieces as shattered broken as Alex's thoughts and emotions seemed to be. He was in a state of shock at the moment, his mind not allowing him to process what Rohjyx had just said. His mind was in denial, whether it was because he simply didn't believe it, or because he knew that he couldn't handle the sadistic truth in the words if he did allow himself to believe it. Alex's hand reached down on its own, and he hesitantly bent to retrieve the phone from the grass. His shaking fingers closed around the cold plastic, almost afraid to break it any further. A faraway part of his mind wondered if it looked as broken and crushed as Amber did at that moment, wherever she lay in the park reserve. He stared at the black screen, reflecting his own horrified expression. He met his gaze in the image, and saw that his green eyes looked cold, dead, and distant.
Roscoe broke the stunned silence, but his voice hardly did anything to catch Alex's attention. Amber was...dead? "What's the matter? I thought foxes were supposed to be witty and smart. Cat got your tongue?" He said cruelly. Rohjyx grinned gleefully at Roscoe's remark, looking for all the world like he was thriving on Alex's shock. "Your poor Amber won't be answering her phone again, Alex, my boy. She's dead. And not only is she dead, little fool, she's dead by my hand." The leader of the Assassins let out a menacing laugh, and Alex shifted his gaze from the phone to stare at him, face drawn blank. Amber was dead? No- she couldn't be. This was real life. This wasn't some kind of sick game with a ruthless antagonist who wouldn't care if he killed Alex's friends. That wouldn't happen here, with ties to reality tethering everything down to keep in from floating away into an imaginary world. Rohjyx wouldn't kill people. It was too unrealistic. That didn't happen in this reality. It COULDN'T happen in this reality. Rohjyx wouldn't do that.
"What the HELL is your fucking problem, you bastard?!" He shouted disbelievingly, exchanging his blank, accusing glare with Rojhyx's icy cold one. "That IS NOT something to joke about! I don't care how fucking much we hate each other: you can't just go telling people that you killed someone! That's serious, Rohjyx! I KNOW you're a god damned idiot, but I thought you'd at least have morals!"
A sharp stab of pain drew Alex away from his rant, and he looked down to see that he had drawn blood from his hand by clinging to the broken cellphone too tightly. He relaxed his grip and saw where the jagged edges of the phone's corner had cut into his skin, and the line of blood that was beading and rolling off his palm. The sight of the blood and the force with which he had been clenching Amber's phone seemed to finally slice through his mind's foggy state. Reality dawned on him with a fiery hatred, and he snapped out of his daze, eyes flickering hotly between the two Assassins responsible.
"Do you know that you've sunk lower than shit this time, Rohjyx?" He hissed, voice dripping with loathing. "And you too, Roscoe. I thought that I could count you as a human being with values, but apparently I was wrong. Does nobody here seem to have a single scrap of decency left?" Alex took a stiff step forward, shoulders tense and anger boiling, fixing them with a glare from under the shadow of his brow. "No."
He turned his heated glare to Hani, hoping that he understood that his anger wasn't necessarily directed at her. "I trust that you aren't going to have such a hard time deciding which gang is better. Those two shitfaces there are in the Assassins." He pointed an accusing finger at Rohjyx. "That bastard is the leader of their disheveled pack of grunts. And I'm going to make him sorry that he was stupid enough to show his fucking face here."

The conversation went on, the words spinning around Hani. This entire situation was beginning to feel surreal. She was caught in a heated encounter between two rival gangs, the members of which were shapeshifters. Why were they even fighting? Why weren’t they working towards their common goal, staying secret? The entire gang scenario felt unnecessary.
As far as Hani could tell, their main focus settled on Alex. Hani wasn’t a part of any gang. They probably wouldn’t give her much trouble. But there was the principle that she couldn’t abandon Alex, sure he was a new acquaintance, but he was in hot water. Helping him during a time of need could pay back later, if such a situation arisen for Hani, which would eventually happen, sooner or later, if she kept up the habit of wandering around at night, especially if she made an allegiance with one gang, and not the other.
She felt slightly ill, given the tone of hostility in the two strangers’ voices. Whatever was going on was probably beyond Hani’s ability to stop. She tried her best to shoo the uneasiness from her, she needed to be sure of herself. Her movements need to be clear cut, not indecisive.
Hani was so busy, her mind puttering, wrapped in the thought, concentrating on their opponents, that she didn’t realise Alex had dialled his phone. She felt a sinking feeling as the tune sounded from one of the strangers.
"You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed, sing like a bird, dizzy in my head-"
It was as if she could feel Alex’s tenseness, the entire situation felt wrong, as if it didn’t piece together properly.
Her eyebrows met as the dark figure began to speak, taunting Alex. In that instant she wanted to hit him. She wanted to hit the grin off of his smug face. She felt a mixture of disgust and frustration. Abashed at the wonder of how someone could taunt with such a thing, and frustration at the fact that she felt helpless to do anything about it.
“You smug son of a bitch.” Hani’s words were cold, her fists clenched. She glared at Rohjyx, her posture composed. She had never known Amber, infact Hani had no idea who she was. All that she could guess was that she was significant to Alex, and her murderer nothing more than a criminal. Hani wasn’t going to waste anymore small chat on these two. Their intentions were clear. She had abandoned her previously, more optimistic attitude, of whether or not they could all get along.
Hani listened quietly as Alex exploded, yelling at the two figures. She exhaled as Alex stepped forward, closer to the other two. As Alex turned to face Hani, her mind had already been made up. She took another step forward, ready to back up Alex. Sure, she was nervous, but Alex was more than justified, and Hani could already feel the hatred towards the Assassins growing inside her. Hani raised her gaze, cool and calculating, ready to follow Alex’s next move.
“It doesn’t seem like much of a decision, Alex. They do seem kind of pathetic, don’t they?” Her eyes shifted between the two figures.

Rohjyx was ecstatic. It'd been years since he'd felt such a strong rush of adrenaline and excitement was over him so completely. Since he left the war, nothing had competed with sneaking into the middle of enemy territory in order to steal a leader or some other important person out from under the enemy's nose. But now, now he had something that might possibly knock that rush out of the water. Seeing Alex so entirely riled and even that little brat girl getting furious enthralled him and made his good mood soar.
Oh, how he loved to see people mad enough to fight with their all. He loved it even more when he was the one to make them that mad.
Listening to Roscoe wholeheartedly degrade Alex and his vagabond group of Thieves, Rohjyx couldn't help but chuckle. Oh, how fun it was to hear such dark rage directed at people. Icy eyes flashing dangerously, the panther Shifter didn't interrupt Alex and Roscoe as they spat clever insults at each other.
Muscled arms crossed over a strong, well-filled chest and Rohjyx raised an eyebrow skeptically as Alex and Hani sneered at Roscoe and himself. Right. Like their hatred towards him was going to hurt him or something.
Smirking, he let his Second slip slowly, dangerously, up closer to Hani, his words cold and lethal. It'd been a while since Rohjyx had last seen this side of Roscoe; he had to admit, it was a nice change.
"You have to wonder how many splinters short of a plank of wood these two are, don't you Rohjyx?" At Roscoe's words, Rohjyx smirked and waved his hand dismissively. "Oh, there's no wonder there, Roscoe. They'd barely make half a plank with how many they're missing." He replied coolly.
Rolling his shoulders backwards once, Rohjyx uncrossed his arms and hooked his thumbs into his pants pockets, his body looking loose and relaxed. Taking a slow, languid step forward, the leader of the Assassins smiled cruelly at Alex. "Even if I'm lower than shit, Alex, my boy, I'm still above you." He sneered. "And I'd never joke about killing your little friend. She died pretty easily, did you know? After all, a helpless little kitty cat can't do much against a full-grown panther. Oh, but was it fun to end her. You should have seen it. Then I could have killed you too." He added, purposly taunting Alex, purposely stirring him up.
Oh yes. Rohjyx was enjoying this thoroughly. Anyone could see it, even the blind lionness Kaera. All he could hope for was that he would push the little fox brat enough that he attacked. Oh, please Lord, let him attack. It would make Rohjyxs' day and it would undoubtedly spark the war.
.......
'Hell yes. Attack, Alex. Attack so that we can get this war underway. Because all is fair in love and war and I intend to make very good use of my skills.' Thought Rohjyx, his blood rushing through his veins and adrenaline making his heartbeat speed up a little bit. Attack, attack, attack, silly little Alex.

"Why Alex, I'm hurt by your words." The doberman shifter said smoothly, acting hurt. "Oh how could you be so cruel and uncaring?" Roscoe dropped the façade, laughing heartily, which just irked Alex even more. "I would try to look like I care about what you think, Alex, but it just wouldn't work no matter how hard I tried. Even I cannot play pretend that well." The younger male’s green eyes locked sharply on Roscoe’s as he spat a reply. “Oh, so you’re not pretending to love your brother? I would have thought that, with the way you’re acting, you could care less about what ends up happening to him.” Alex’s mind went out to Russet, somewhere back in the city, unaware of what was going down between his brother and leader. Alex wondered if, were a fight to break out after all, Russet would come. Would he be forced to fight against Roscoe? Alex hoped not: despite his biting jab, he did care about Russet, and hoped that he would be able to stay out of any skirmish if one arose. But that was beyond his control, just like the rest of this situation.
Alex turned as Hani spoke up, signaling her decision about which gang she’d rather join. He managed a small supportive smile, before Roscoe slunk between them and came to a stop dangerously close to Hani. "Dangerous words to be saying when you have nothing short of a weakling to come to your aid. Alex seems to have forgotten that the only unwanted person showing their face here happens to be him. If you are to pick a side, my dear, may I suggest you pick the winning one for your own safety."
Though Roscoe’s tone and stance indicated that he wouldn’t refrain from hurting either one of them, Alex spoke up, clenching his fist around Amber’s broken cellphone. Again, the painful sparks shot into his palm, but he ignored them, temper turned on Roscoe. “She’s already made her decision, Roscoe. You really didn’t do much to help convince her otherwise. Being a stuck-up prick doesn’t exactly scream ‘join the Asses!’, although it’s a pretty accurate description.”
Alex’s pulse had quickened with the surge of anxious adrenaline, and if his insults were losing their touch, he was gaining the sharp wit back in the form of concentrated anger. He could feel fury building up in his muscles, making them tense, as he stood partially between the two Assassins. The fox shifter’s cold gaze flicked to Roscoe, but he refrained from making a remark. "You have to wonder how many splinters short of a plank of wood these two are, don't you Rohjyx?" Roscoe’s reply didn’t warrant a reaction from the brunette, either. “Oh, there's no wonder there, Roscoe. They'd barely make half a plank with how many they're missing."
Alex remained furiously silent, almost visibly trembling as he fought to keep a clear head. Rohjyx must have picked up on it, because he continued to speak, words spurring Alex’s rising ire to higher levels. "Even if I'm lower than shit, Alex, my boy, I'm still above you. And I'd never joke about killing your little friend. She died pretty easily, did you know? After all, a helpless little kitty cat can't do much against a full-grown panther. Oh, but was it fun to end her. You should have seen it. Then I could have killed you too."
That was the final straw. The fox-shifter’s seething hatred had exploded to the point that he knew his own mind was beyond rational thought. He knew that an angry, rash reaction was exactly what Rohjyx was prodding for, but he didn’t care, and that was fine. That son of a bitch wanted a fight? He’d get a fight. In a split second, the broken phone in Alex’s hand had turned into a projectile aimed at Roscoe’s smirking face, shards of shrapnel spraying towards the Doberman shifter. Eyes blazing mad and both hands now free, Alex spun and packed his boiling anger into a punch aimed at Rohjyx.
OOC||...how am I supposed to write that without any powerplay? XD;
