Taavi stayed back as Kurosaki and Trinell had their little...moment. She turned her back towards Trinell and Kurosaki, gazing uneasily around the street. 'Ooooh gooood. Trinell HAD to bring me here. Stupid Trinell. Stupid men. Stupid man.' She thought, mentally punching each one. A couple of guys passed by, perhaps getting some ideas. Glancing back at Kurosaki and Trinell, Taavi decided she couldn't interrupt them. She put a pout on her face and stomped one tiny foot, doing her best impression of a ten-year-old. Luckily enough, it worked and the men moved on, with hardly a second glance.
She glanced uneasily back at Trinell and Kuro when she heard Trinell exclaim, "You just had to go and be all nice, didn't you? Dammit! That's not how it's always worked!" Taavi ran back towards Trinell, feeling intensely worried. If that jerk of a man hurt her in any way, he was gunna have hell to pay. Even though Taavi had only known Trinell for a short while, the older girl had gained the intense respect and adoration of Taavi. The midget got to Trinell in time to see her sitting on her butt with her arms wrapped around her legs. Her head was tucked down neatly as she muttered "Damnit" over and over again.
Taavi glared at Kurosaki. 'What the hell did you do?!' She thought, slapping his arm. Obviously, he must have done something if Trinell was having a breakdown like this. Taavi reached down and lightly tapped Trinell on the head. Not waiting for any type of a response, she knelt next to Trinell and wrapped a thin arm around the taller girl's trembling shoulders. Her dark eyes were mournful as she pulled Trinell towards her, in a hug. It was all Taavi could do for the girl.

"Dammit, Kuro... You just had to go and be all nice, didn't you? Dammit! That's not how it's always worked!"
Trinell crumbled and fell into a ball in front of him. He was surprised at her reaction, very surprised. He had just expected the typical beating from her. Had she really been that close to a breaking point?
'Ow.' Something collided with his arm. It made a small thud. It didn't actually hurt, the girl hadn't actually hit him, but his natural reaction was to think 'ow' when someone hit him.
The girl, Taavi, got on her knees and hugged Trinell. Kurosaki looked away. He didn't really get these complicated situations. There were people staring. His brain was overloading. Even for an adult that was too much to handle. 'God- Stupid- Damn- Kids!' Kurosaki thought in confusion and utter chaos of mind.
He walked off a bit, then turned in to an alley. when he was sure no one was looking, he shifted. His ebony pelt blew in the frigid wind, and his gray claws ticked on the cement. A collar hung from his neck, a plain, leather collar. He padded out of the alley, and turned the corner and went on toward Taavi and Trinell.
That was his way of dealing with the stress. Turn into a wolf, where the human part of him was more of a whisper than the loud booming conscious it usually was. Walking at a steady place, the large black wolf came to a stop in front of Trinell, his same, crystal eyes looking at her.
"Hey. Don't cry, stupid. It makes me feel bad." Kurosaki said, but he knew she couldn't understand him. He was talking to her through whines and whimpers, and the human ear couldn't understand that.
He gingerly licked her cheek and rested his head on her arm.
"Don't be sad, Trinell. You idiot, you'll make me feel bad, too." Kurosaki whimpered.
OOC:// OH. DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING, DIDJA? I blame Dj and our recent chat roleplay. xD

Trinell didn't see Taavi come up, but she did hear her. So she wasn't that surprised when she felt a gentle hand on her head. Although, when she was suddenly pulled into a hug she was surprised and did jump a bit. Then she realized who was hugging her and relaxed, allowing her friend to hold her tightly. She still refused to let her tears fall, just barely holding them at bay, but she did let herself lean a bit closer to the younger girl.
Why oh why did she have to breakdown now of all times? Why?! Why couldn't she have done it when she was near Dj? Why did it have to be in front of Kuro and Taavi, of all people? Dammit! They were some of the last people she wanted to ever see her breakdown! Dj, yeah sure fine. He'd seen her breakdown before. He'd stopped plenty a many breakdowns.
But instead, here she was, in the arms of her younger friend and in front of her older friend. Her older friend that she tried hard to keep from thinking of her as a kid.
She didn't hear him walk away, nor did she hear him walk back up. But she did hear him when he began to whine and whimper and she lifted her head just enough then to see him and take in his sad expression. He looked honestly sad and Trinell stared at him for a second as he rested his head on her arms, whining again. Then, without a moments notice, she reached out and pulled his warm form close, wrapping her arms tightly around him and burying her face in the thick fur of his mane.
"I'm sorry Kuro... I didn't mean to break down like this," she whispered tightly, her throat clenching with her effot not to cry like a baby. Her hands clenched in his pelt and slowly she released one to place it on Taavi's arm, clutching the thin limb to let the mute girl know that Trinell appreciated the gesture. "I swear I didn't mean to..." Trinell choked on her words then, a few tears managing to escape and disappear into Kuro's thick black fur.
Trinell clenched her eyes shut, breathing heavy and ragged gasps, and focused her thoughts on not crying. She didn't realize that her thoughts turned verbal and she began a soft mantra of, "Don't cry... Don't cry... Don't cry...".

At first Trinell tugged away when Taavi first knelt down next to her, but then relaxed and sort of melted into Taavi's arms. Kuro's reaction to her whacking his arm was a bit of a flinch. More from surprise rather then her actually hurting him. 'Wimp.' Taavi smirked, glad Trinell couldn't see her face. Kurosaki disappeared for a short while. To this, Taavi had nothing to say but 'Good. Riddance.' Unfortunately, he returned a minute or so later in wolf form. The smirk was swiped from her face and she glared at the wolf as he whimpered and licked Trinell's cheek. 'Goshdarnit.' What? Hurting her wasn't bad enough? He had to come back and pretend to be 'sorry' for whatever her did? Stupid Kuro.
Trinell reached out and clutched at his rough coat. She muttered something about being sorry and not wanting to break down. She leaned forward, and a few tears darkened Kuro's fur. Taavi glared slightly at Kuro, hating how close she was to the guy. Yet, instead of starting a fight, she turned her attention back towards Trinell, and started to stroke her spiky hair. After a couple of minutes of the calming strokes, Taavi pushed Trinell away, face clearly saying "C'mon now. Toughen up~!" Taavi tenderly wiped a tear off of the tough girl's cheek and allowed one of her rare half smiles to cross her lips. With a playful yank on Trinell's braid, Taavi stood and offered Trin her hand.
Surprisingly enough Taavi had forgotten all about being near a bar and hating men, except for that brief moment where she had glared at Kuro. But now all that fear and hatred rushed back and Taavi glanced around, eyes searching for any would be predators. She was NOT going to be chow mein for a man with half a brain.

"I'm sorry Kuro... I didn't mean to break down like this, I swear I didn't mean to..."
Trinell cried. She did. He felt it when she hugged him. There was drops of water that fell on his pelt. Tears. Trinell, of all people, was crying. That, he didn't think he'd live to see. He didn't really want to see it either.
"You're being stupid again. Don't say sorry. It's my fault. Because I'm bastard Kyo, remember?" Kurosaki whined, a worried expression on his wolf features.
When Taavi began to try to lift the mood, he thought it seemed like a good idea, and tried too. He pulled away, wagging his tail and play bowing. Giving one of the little puppy woofs, if that was possible for a full grown male wolf, he tried.
OOC:// Shortest post EVAR. But I'm JUST. SO. TIRED. D: G'NIGHT! >.<

Trinell didn't move as she tried her damndest to get her emotions under control, slowly, almost painfully, reigning them back in and her chest heaved with the effort. It was just so damn hard to stop once the tears fell, which was why she always tried not to let them fall. After all, they were just a waste of useful bodily fluids.
It helped a lot that Taavi and Kuro decided to put aside their differences for her, and it helped even more than Taavi was stroking her hair, which was something she had always secretly loved. She loved to be petted, a fact she had found out one day while in her wolf form.
She had been laying beside Dj on a lazy day and he, just for the hell of it, began to stroke her neck and back fur gently as he relaxed. She had quickly been lulled into a state of light dreaming and, when Dj stopped stroking her, she woke up and glared at him. He immediately started petting her again, and she had gone back to sleep.
Now, seeing as how Taavi had stroked her hair for a few good minutes Trinell was almost completely calm, although easy to set off again. So it wasn't surprising when Trinell blinked widely and clutched to Kuro as Taavi suddenly pushed her away and gave her a bright, encouraging look. Trinell gaped at her for a moment, confused, before she felt the beginnings of a smile tug at the corner of her lips. Despite being mute, Taavi was still great at conveying what she wanted to say with her eyes and expressions.
Trinell didn't fight her or flinch as Taavi reached out and softly wiped away one of her few tears, gifting Trinell with a gentle half-smile, before suddenly tugging on her braid and startling a sound out of the usually alert wolf. Trinell blinked again as Kuro pulled away from her, getting into the universal canine position for 'play?', and gave her a low questioning bark. He wanted to play?
A tiny hand appeared before her face and Trinell stared at it uncomprhendingly for a few seconds, glancing between it and Kuro, before giving a slight grin and taking her friends' hand. She rose to her feet and enveloped Taavi in a tight hug, murmuring a grateful, "Thanks, Taav. I'll teach you something special for this." Stepping back from her tiny friend, Trinell turned her attention to Kuro and a playful grin lit up her face, making her previously depressed green eyes glow a fierce emerald once more.
Crisis averted; thanks to Taavi and Kuro.
Eyes gleaming and grin wide, Trinell dropped into a low crouching position before launching herself at Kuro and tackling him to the ground as softly as she could. She laughed while she did this and, after she 'captured him', she hugged him around his shoulders tightly before releasing him only to grasp his face in her hands gently. "Thank you, Kurosaki Kyo. You may be a bastard most of the time but you do have a heart." She whispered, not wanting to embarrass him too much. She gave him a bright smile before pressing a kiss to his forehead and releasing him. She glanced over at Taavi, who looked like she'd just remembered where she was. Right. They needed to relocate.
But before that.... "Will you tell me what you were saying later? I know you have an easier time saying what you want in this form. I'll Shift later, if you'd like." She asked softly, almost silently. But he could hear her. She knew for a fact he could, no matter how loud the wind might have been. Kuro was a wolf, after all, and she was within a foot of him. It'd be impossible for him to not hear her.
Now, whether he decided to tell her what he had said or not was a different story. But she'd deal with that when the time came.

Taavi's hand stroking Trinell's hair did a wonderful job of calming the girl down. Taavi mentally noted that. She'd have to remember it to use it for her own gain one day. That or to calm Trinell down again. Either or worked. When Taavi had gently shoved Trinell away, the girl had looked up at her with a shocked expression. As Taavi had wiped a tear off of Trinell's face, the beginnings of a smile showed up the sitting girl's face. A pathetic sounding bark caused Taavi to look over at Kurosaki. The sight that greeted Taavi nearly made her jaw drop. The wolf's butt was in the air, tail wagging, in a play bow. Kuro's ass was shaking back and forth, and his head was laid upon his front paws. The mutt seemed to be trying to cheer up Trinell. Personally, Taavi thought her way had been a lot more effective. But whatever. It worked, regardless of whether it was Taavi that did it or Kurosaki.
A hand gripped Taavi's tiny one and Taavi's arm muscles constricted as Trinell pulled on the vixen's hand to stand up. A second later Taavi found herself gasping for breath as Trinell gave Taavi this huge bear hug. 'Please don't kill me.' Taavi thought, eyes squeezing shut. Taavi's lashes fluttered and she looked up at Trin as she heard "Thanks, Taav. I'll teach you something special for this." The taller girl let go of Tav and turned towards Kuro. 'Woah woah woah. Something special?' Taavi thought, mind whirling. 'And what would that be? C'mon~! You can't just leave me hanging here!' Of course, Trinell was already hugging Kuro and whispering, "Thank you, Kurosaki Kyo. You may be a bastard most of the time but you do have a heart." Taavi resisted the urge to roll her eyes. 'A heart of stone maybe. I've seen bears more lovable then that thing.' Trinell glanced over at Taavi and the girl blankly stared back. 'Hello? Can we PLEASE go? This field trip has been so very enlightening, but I've learned enough about drunks. Period.' she thought snidely.
Trinell just looked back at Kuro and said something very very quietly. Curiosity overcoming her, Taavi stepped closer, but still couldn't catch anything. Immediately feeling guilty, the girl turned around and glared at anyone walking down the street, male or female. She scooted closer to Trinell as a girl glared back. 'Please?' Taavi turned pleading eyes on Trinell. The tiny girl didn't to be in a dump where her ass was going to be kicked. She wanted to be anywhere else learning how to kick ass.

Not even caring what drunk saw, Kurosaki shifted back suddenly, scratching the back of his head with his eyes closed. "Yeah, yeah. All I said was to stop being sad, stupid." Kurosaki said, uncaring tone as he stuck another cigarette in his mouth, flicking his auburn lighter and lighting the end of it. He then expelled a puff of smoke, watching it drift up toward... wherever smoke went.
He continued walking with them, until he came to an abrupt halt. Across the street, there was a Cherry Tree, not a single blossom on it because it was winter. Black roots intertwined in the ground, and ebony branches eagerly clutched at the sky as if they wanted to reach it too.
He stared at it, his face emotionless, thoughts running through his head. Before he knew it, he was walking toward it, completely in a trance. Or, absent-mindedness, as it was. He made it safely, though illegally, across the street, and walked straight up to the tree.
He placed a hand on the bark, staring down at it. Thoughts were overflowing in his mind. Painful thoughts, horrible thoughts, regret.
"Sakura..." He had just murmered the word, when he was brought back down to earth by a large car horn.
He spun around, and his body reacted far before his mind could catch up. There was a girl, and a car was coming, and he ran, jumped, and tackled her just in time to keep her from getting hit by the car, though his side had been grazed by it. When he tackled her, he had made sure he was the one who fell on the concrete, instead of her.
"Ouch. Dammit, I think I broke a few ribs..." Kurosaki curse, rising and holding his left side. Blinking, he looked over at the girl he had just saved.
"Oh jesus, I'll never here the end of this one." He said, knowing full well that Trinell would give him an earful for doing something reckless again. Yes, again. It'd happened before.
ooc:// IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE TRINELL HE SAVED. It can be Taavi, if you guys want. either way he wouldn't here then end of it. xD BUT. WHATEVER. <3 Kyo had a him moment. |D

Trinell was stunned when Kuro suddenly Shifted back into his human form in front of everyone, her jaw going slack and her eyes almost bugging out of her head in pure shock. WHAT?! Kuro did NOT just Shift in front of everyone, did he?! Shaking her head and rubbing at her eyes, Trinell pulled her bangs out of her face and gaped openly at Kuro. She just barely registered him saying "Yeah, yeah. All I said was to stop being sad, stupid." and instead forced her mouth closed. "I... I can't believe you just did that. That goes against like, EVERY Shifter rule I know!" She gasped, looking stunned and remembering the one time she had almost broken the first rule of Shifters. She'd almost had a heart attack.
Shaking her head, she sighed and decided to let it go. It's not like Kuro would listen to her anyways. He did what he wanted to do, when he wanted to do it. Although, she had to wrinkle her nose and curl her lip in distaste when he pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and smoked it. Ewwwww. Smoking. Was. Disgusting.
And yet, despite it, she still liked Kuro. She absolutely hated that he smoked but she knew that she wouldn't be able to get him to quit (he probably didn't want to, either) and so she just accepted it.
Watching him start walking, she blinked in confusion as she saw him suddenly look dazed. His gaze was set on some tree across the road and, turning to Taavi, she shrugged and said, "Let's follow him. I'm not done bugging him yet."
She followed behind Taavi as the girl stalked after Kuro, knowing that the little fox Shifter wanted to be as far away from that area as possible. Hearing some displeasing words drift by her ears, Trinell took some of her attention away from Taavi to glare dangerously at two guys that were easily bigger and stronger than the wolf Shifter herself. They smirked at her, beckoning her over, and she responded with an evil smirk and a bold flip of the bird. "Fuck you," She crooned sweetly and laughed when they looked affronted. She quickly dropped the sweet voice and fixed them with a glowing gaze, her eyes gleaming with excitement. Oh, please. Let them try anything. Her knuckles were literally itching to hit something, anything. They particularly liked the feel of hitting human flesh. "Please, come try something. I dare you." She taunted, the guys staring at her for a moment before turning tail and scampering away quickly, both with slightly frantic looks on their faces.
Trinell sighed, rubbing her knuckles absently, and turned around just in time to see Kuro tackling Taavi out of the way of a large truck, the considerably larger man making sure to land on his own body instead of Taavi's. Instantly, a sharp gasp left her and her eyes widened, Trinell's body reacting almost instantly. She yelled, "Kyo! Taavi! Oh my God!"
She was by their sides in no time, a horrified look on her face, and she wasted no time in going straight into "Overprotective-Mommy-Wolf" mode. She pulled Taavi upwards, checking her over "Jesus! I'm sorry I wasn't watching, Taavi! And Kuro!" She turned wide emerald eyes to him, her normally tanned skin a little pale from the scare. He was sitting up, holding his left side, and looking as if he had broken a few ribs.
She blinked. Oh, that was right. He'd said something about thinking he had a few broken bones earlier, hadn't he? That he had. "You broke some ribs, didn't you?" She asked bluntly, her tone worried and sympathetic. "Damn, I'm sorry Kuro. I know how much those hurt." She winced in memory of the pure agony that was broken ribs. Even the tiniest of breaths hurt when you had broken ribs. And since you couldn't put a cast on ribs, you had to suffer through it to the best of your ability and hope to god you healed quickly.
"Give me your phone, Kuro. I'll call the hospital." She said firmly, knowing how much Kuro hated the hospital. "Unless you think you can survive without the pain pills?" She decidedly left out the fact that she, herself, had lived through broken ribs without the medicine several times in the hopes that it would influence Kuro to go to the Doctor and get the prescription. Quickly, she glanced over at Taavi only to snatch the smaller girl towards her and into a fierce, but gentle, hug. "Damn, Taavi. You both are trying to give me a heart attack, aren't you?" Sighed Trinell, feeling her hands and fingers begin to tremble as the adrenaline wore off.
She turned her head to Kuro and gave him a slight smile, still holding Taavi. "I'd hug you, too, if it weren't for those ribs of yours that I know must be hurting like nobodies business." She said, releasing Taavi with one hand only to reach out and pat Kuro's shoulder.

Taavi glared at Kuro as he shifted in the middle of the street. Of course a guy would be so irresponsible. She gave a little snort of disgust and looked away as he pulled out another cigarette and lit it. She didn't like smoking, and she knew Trinell didn't either. Kuro nonchalantly commented, "Yeah, yeah. All I said was to stop being sad, stupid." Taavi glanced up at Trinell. The girl's eyes looked like they were about to fall out of her head, and if her jaw dropped any lower it was going to land on Taavi's head. Apparently she was still in shock about Kuro shifting in the open. After another moment, she stammered out, "I... I can't believe you just did that. That goes against like, EVERY Shifter rule I know!" Taavi rolled her eyes and thought, 'So is screaming what we are out to the world.' Her eyes narrowed and she turned away. Trinell spoke again, and Taavi turned to see Kurosaki stumbling away in a daze. "Let's follow him. I'm not done bugging him yet." 'Stupid man.' She thought. To Trinell she signed, "Whatever." with a flip of her hand.
Taavi's gaze wandered up the street and then back down again. Noticing drunks stumbling down the street towards them, Taavi pulled on Trinell's sleeve before darting to the street. She'd rather cross the street and avoid confrontation. Of course, she had forgotten that Trinell would stay and taunt the idiot drunks. About half way across the street, a loud car horn blared followed by squealing tires. Taavi's eyes widened, her mind working furiously. If she shifted, there was a possibility that she could crouch beneath the car as it roared passed. But there was no time to check if it was safe or not. Also, her momentum could carry her underneath the wheels. 'Aw what the heck.' She thought, the beginning stages of a shift passing over her body. Taavi mentally screamed as she got hit by something. Giving up the idea of shifting, she snapped her eyes shut instead. "Ouch. Dammit, I think I broke a few ribs..." Taavi gasped, squeezing her eyes shut tighter. She was in Hell and her hell was filled with evil men. She just knew it. "Oh jesus, I'll never here the end of this one." Trembling, Taavi peeked through her eyelashes. The minute she saw she was lying on top of Kurosaki, she leaped up into the air, adrenaline powering her jump.
Something grabbed her in mid-leap and terrified Taavi whipped her hand around to punch whatever it was. Her eyes were shut again and she blindly struck out again and again at the thing that was holding her. 'OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD' Lucky for Trinell, Taavi was in a state of panic. Although she was hyped up on adrenaline and fear, Trinell could probably avoid her hits easily enough. After a moment, Taavi was set down, where she curled up into a ball and rocked back and forth whimpering. 'Please don't hit me Daddy~! I didn't mean to break the dish! It slipped! OH GOD! DON'T HIT ME ANYMORE!!!' Taavi rolled over onto her side, legs pulled defensively against her body and hands covering her ears. Her entire body trembled as her mouth opened in silent screams. After a couple seconds, the tiny girl's mouth clamped shut and even her trembling stopped.
OhOhSea:// Okay, well basically Taavi's mental breakdown happened when Trinell's back was turned towards her. So she may or may not have seen the end of it. Kuro probably saw the entire thing. Depending on whether or not Kuro said something, Trin may have seen all of it, part of it, or none of it.
Yeah. Okay. That's it.
