"..Chase?" He almost laughed mentally as he heard the boy call. He sounded uneasy, he sounded worried, but most of all he sounded fun. He sat up quite suddenly, pulling the sheet that had draped him off and onto the floor. "You know who I am, right? Djackael?"
He gave a small sigh, slouching into his seat on the couch, and sinky into the textured cusions. "Djackael, Huh?" He stifled a laugh as he watched the boy tense up, obviously getting ready. "Interesting name, kid." Slowly he played with one of the chains connected to his pants, twirling it absentmindely as he stared at the boy. He could just imagine the sweat starting to bead off his brow.
He suddenly jumped up from his position on the couch and walked a bit closer to him. "How would you like to have a little fun?" He licked his lips, his eyes almost gleaming red for an instant as he waited for the boy's reaction.

Djakael tensed instantly as Chase hopped up suddenly. There was no way they were the same. Maybe he had multiple personalities disorder? If so, Djakael would say it now and forever hold his peace; he did not like this side of Chase. Watching him warily, Djakael took a step back with only one foot, making room for a kick if he was forced to. He knew very well how to control his kicks, thanks to Trinell's training, but he knew he wouldn't be able to hold back very much if 'Chase' decided he wanted to hurt him. Narrowing his eyes minutely, Djakael ignored 'Chases' desrespectful jibe.
"How would you like to have a little fun?" Asked 'Chase', licking his lips with almost red glowing eyes. Djakael frowned. "I think I'll pass," He said. "I'm not really in the mood for fun and games at the moment." He added. He wanted desperately to bring his arms up, to guard, but knew he couldn't. Not yet at least. When and if the time came, his guard would be up in no time. Working with Trinell had honed his skills to a fine point.

"I think I'll pass." Chase Tilted his head to the side, a gentle smile plastered on his face, identical to one the real Chase had once used. He giggled, an unusual sound coming from the teen, it masked a menace that screamed to be freed. The building was so silent, the only noise was the sound of the heater buzzing into the background, no one would hear.. He burst forward, catching the boy off guard and pushing him down to the floor, Pinning him with muscles that seemed rejuvinated, or maybe the pain just wasn't felt.
A plastic smile wove it's way onto his features, malice showing in his eyes as he felt Dj's muscles beneath his grip. Lowering his face to within an inch of his victim's, his plastic grin nearly consumed his face. He ghosted his face over the boy's. "Mmm.. Maybe I'll keep you." His mouth came just inches from his ear, he breathed softly as he spoke.
{ Sorry, I hope I didn't really powerplay! x.x }

Djakael gasped in shock as 'Chase' suddenly burst forward, taking him to the ground, and pinned him there, a menacing look on his face. A part of Djakael was enraged, enfuriated, at being pinned, but he shoved that part away visciously. This is no time to get mad. He thought fiercely, grinding his teeth as 'Chases' face moved from over his to next to his ear. His whispered statement made the part inside Djakael that he had shoved away roar in doubled rage. "Mmm.. Maybe I'll keep you." In an instant, Djakael, still having most of his arms and his legs free, swept 'Chase' off of him and slammed him into the floor painfully, a low growl bubbling up in his throat. In any other fight, he would've went straight for the kill. He wouldn't have stopped like he was doing now. Instead of putting him to sleep, he just pinned him down below him. "Alright, now." He growled, unable to keep it out of his voice. "What's the heck is wrong with you?" He added, the growl a bit more like a snarl this time.

Chase smiled with fake delight, the delicious reaction the boy's told was wonderful. "What's wrong, Love?" He let the last word draw out slowly, he kid below him grinding his teeth, fire in his eyes. Licking his lips again he smirked even more, His evident happiness only simple reaction, his heart rate had remained unchanged the entire time. He had so much he was going to do the the kid, so much he was going to make him beg for death. Plead for his mercy! He-
The world flipped upside down, a loud thud echoed in the silent room as he was pushed hard against the floor boards. The thick silver chains on his pants jingled in protest, his cold calculating eyes faltered. Rigid Pain shot through his back and spine, And he groaned slowly. His eyes drifted closed sleepily, the look of menace leaving his face, and feeling suddenly coming back.
"Alright, now." The low growl coming from above him started to confuse as he gently cracked open his wounded Green eyes. His breath caught in his throat, Everything in his image was blurry, dark, but it was all coming together quickly. Beneath him everything burned, His wrists felt burned by the rough carpet, his hands felt like they were on fire and his muscles burned with a cold fury.
"What the heck is wrong with you?" Contempt and Anger run at his ears, he still couldn't fully understand what was happening as things started coming into focus. Is.. that.. His intakes became more paniced, gasped breathes coming quick and labored. His eyes smokey and distant, he stared upward, everything was starting to come back. The cold wearhouse, the warm gesture from his.. friend.. The eyes of the man standing over him looked as though they were ready to kill Chase, like he'd.. Oh no, the headaches...
He would have run away at that moment if his body was strong enough to fight free. Terror shot through his body like a spasm, his eyes momentarily distant as if waking from a dream turned painful and terrified. His voice cracked as if it were not his own, the only sound that could be heard over his rigid breaths was the constant uncareing hum of the appartment heater.
"D-Dj.." He wanted to say so much more, but the look in Dj's eyes felt paralyzing. The humming stopped as the old heater in the corner of the room kicked off.

Moonlight reflected off purple feathers as Danny, in raven form, eased into flight. Soaring through the night sky, he watched Djakael run with the boy in his arms. Cold autumn wind whistled in his feathers and chilled him, but nothing could distract him from his vigilant gaze. Amber had (very quickly) relayed instructions to follow them, and he wouldn't let her down. The thought of whether or not the men below knew he was following briefly crossed his mind. Now's not the time for that. I have to watch them for Amber... He flew down closer for a better look.
Danny flew down and stopped at the door that Djakael had just closed, ruffling his feathers in annoyance. Well, this answers my question. If he knew I was behind him, he would have left the door open for me...or not. We don't know each other that well. He let out a sharp caw and waited. ...Nothing. The men inside didn't notice. He crooned, gradually getting more annoyed. Should he shift back? No, they didn't seem to like him as a human. Instead, he flew over to the window, intent on pecking on it until someone answered. He perched awkwardly - damn small window sills - and looked insi- Holy crap.

Djakael glared fiercely down at 'Chase' as he groaned, his eyes drifting closed, and laid there, unmoving. He refused to move from his dominant position lest 'Chase' decide to attack him again. But when his eyes cracked open, Djakael could tell that he wasn't the same. He wsa more like he had been before. Scared, worried... Djakael brought his glare back suddenly. What if it was merely a trick? He could be playing him, getting him to let his guard down so that he could attack him again.
"D-Dj.." Whimpered Chase, his breathing frenzied. Instantly, Djakael knew he wasn't playing. The look of pure, unadulterated terror on Chases' face was too real for anyone to fake, too deep to pretend. Djakael let his expression soften, loosening his grip on Chase enough for it to be considerably less painful. "...Chase? Are you back?" He asked, somewhat hesitant. His earlier rage was gone, replaced by the gentle worry he held for his friend. "Are you okay now?" He added softly, rising up off of his stomach so that he could breath better.

"...Chase? Are you back?" He voice seemed to soften with every word, and the grip holding him down so roughly loosened slightly and the pain lessened. He's ok, I didn't hurt him. He tried to calm down, but the look of hatred that overtook Dj's eyes still haunted his fleeting memory. He's.. He's ok..!
His throat ached, everything seemed to shoot sparks of discomfort through him. He felt so relieved, but it couldn't be long lived. He had to leave. "I'm.. I have to-" A string of weak coughing escaped his frail body, wracking him with small tremors. His eyes watered, he wanted to cry but he couldn't.
He'd almost had a friend! How long had he wanted one. Memories of his childhood flooded back to him. He'd sit alone in the desolate playground, swinging aimlessly back and forth, the rusty chains screeching as he swayed, watching the other children and wishing one would come and speak to him.. The look of hope everytime one ran by, caught in an inocent game of tag or hide and seek. He was always greatful they were having fun, even if he couldn't join in..
But now he had to leave. Dj had protected himself, but what about next time? Dj had shown him more kindness then anyone before, he didn't want to leave. I want a friend! He silently pleaded, tears in the corner of his eyes but he faught it from going any farther. His chest heaved up and down, but it was getting calmer, he was breathing easier even though he resisted the urge to scream out.
Why was he stuck with the burden of lonliness! Why couldn't be selfish just once! Was protecting the world from himself his only purpose? Was pain his only meaning in life? "I have to leave, I have to run." His croaked responce to his own thoughts. He gulped roughly.

Djakael sighed in relief as Chase returned to normal, the look of pain on his face lessening greatly as he loosened his grip. Thank God, he was okay. Well, as okay as he was before his sudden personality switch and attack. Djakael almost laughed at that and climbed off of him completely, smiling slightly. Geez, Chase. Trying to give me a heart attack or something, he laughed mentally.
His good humor disappered, however, as he saw the tears glistening in the corners of Chases' eyes, a look of pain etched into his face. Instantly, worry creased his brow and he kneeled down next to him just as he spoke, his voice hoarse.
"I have to leave, I have to run." At that, Djakael's stubborn side came out. "You are going nowhere tonight, Chase." He said firmly, gently wiping away the tears from his eyes. "You'll stay here tonight, get a shower, and eat breakfast tomorrow then you can decide whether you want to leave or not, okay?" He said, pulling Chase up into his arms and standing. He took him to the couch and plopped down, allowing Chases' legs to stretch out completely on the long couch. Gently, Djakael ran his fingers through his hair, hoping it would help calm him down.

Chase opened his mouth to argue at Dj's stubborn responce, but was lifted again and placed onto the couch, his body throbbing but feeling better as he lay on the soft plush of the sofa. Does he not realize how awful I am He couldn't stay! Why was Dj making this so much harder! Raising a shaky hand he brushed some of his hair out of his face, his face turning a bright shade of pink, easily visable over his porcelain white skin.
"But I can't stay!" His voice was getting stronger, but it still cracked where it shouldn't have. He felt stupid laying here, but he wasn't able to move to do anything else. Dj's soft fingertips brushed through his hair and he groaned slightly at the feeling, it felt so nice after everything.. No, he was getting distracted. His face burned furosiously. "What If I had hurt you!" His voice raised, He was trying so hard to reason with his companion. "What if I already did.." His voice lowered as he mumbled to himself more then Dj, thoughts spinning off as he wondered what he'd done. What Dj may not have told him.. His heart pounded as the posibilities arose.
