'How curious.' Crystal eyes surveyed the long black raven hair, the almond eyes, the short yet soft and delicate body. How anyone could mistake her for a child... it was rather odd. 'She speaks to no one but herself.' Her motions, she seemed to be suffering some sort of internal battle. As if sizing the two males up, of course she must feel at least slightly intimidated? Less she was strong. 'Uses her voice for those who can't scream.'
Shifting, almost guiltily, on the leather chair, took a tiny sip at his half-full cup. Not exactly sure why he felt a sinking feeling int he pit of his stomach; it was relieved when she found her own place to sit. Blinking down at the flickering flames, a heater beneath the animation appreciated technology compared to the harshness of the real world. Glancing up at the click of a pen, saw Taavi delicately scroll her name across a notebook.
'A mute.' He had gathered that by now, but it was nice for his suspicions to be put to ease. As to not say something the could be offending. Nodding in acknowledgment, gave her a small smile when eyes were locked. Though swiftly taking another sip of his mocha. Not sure if they were shifters or not, decided to keep the subject hush hush, you could make friends with humans couldn't you? "Hello Taavi. Markus. So, now that we're all acquainted, want to split half a dozen of blueberry muffins?"
Ryan hadn't eaten in quite a while, and the sale for the muffins had caught his eye when he walked in. The mouthwatering pastry was too good to pass up, and the opportunity to make some new friends. 'or enemies.' Attempting to work past his rather unease about everyone and everything, hoped the two wouldn't refuse, maybe even contribute a bit to the small cash fund; for the muffins of course.
=x=
Markus tilted his head to read the flowing script of Taavi's name on the pad of paper. What an interesting name. It certainly was not one that he heard often. A unique name for a unique person in this world, he mused to himself, drinking another sip of his hot chocolate. He could feel the weight of the beverage lessening in his hand, and he peered into the cup to see how much was left.
"Hello Taavi. Markus. So, now that we're all acquainted, want to split half a dozen of blueberry muffins?" Ryan spoke up, drawing Mark's attention to the black-haired male. He smiled.
"Blueberry muffins sound delicious. I can pitch in a few dollars and go up and get them, if you'd like. I want to get another drink, anyway." He said, swirling the remaining hot chocolate at the bottom of his cup. His blue eyes watched the circular motion settle to a standstill before looking up to see Taavi's opinion. If she agreed, it might be a nice way to get to know one another. And who knew? Maybe one of them was a shapeshifter like himself. Mark's ice-blue eyes watched the both of them, wondering what they would shift into if they were shapeshifters afterall. He always found it interesting to try and decide animals for other people based on what he knew about them. Sometimes it was easy- certain people just had such a strong personality. And sometimes it was very hard- these people, he decided, were not shifters, mainly because he did not feel like spending the time trying to think of the perfect animal to match their muddled personality.
He looked between Ryan and Taavi, trying to place an animal on each of them. So far it did him no good; he barely knew them or their personalities. With only a small feeling of disappointment, Mark finished off the last of his hot chocolate.
