Appearance:
Human::Personality:
Simply put, she's pretty to look at with just a few tiny flaws regarding weight. Not so simply put... well...
Beth isn't so much overweight as she is... chubby? Not even. She's got a bit of a belly on her, but that's about it. She's tallish, with long, lean legs and arms. She wears her light blond hair long and usually tied back in a ponytail. Slight freckles line her nose, cheeks and shoulders, adding a touch of cuteness to her otherwise slender face.
Her attire usually consists of short-sleeved tops with plenty of color or white, and casual denim jeans. Her shoes, or rather boots, are black and reach her shins with buckles that don't fit the rest of her usual look. They were gifts from her brother, so she's constantly wearing and repairing them. They look newly worn, at best.
Greater Flying Fox::
How do I describe a bat? Well...
This bat species has a wide wingspan anyway, but miss Beth seems to have lucked out with this one. Her wingspan is a whomping six feet total, one of the largest wingspans for her species. Her fur coat is as black as her skin in this form, speckled only with reds and browns along her body. Sharply pointed ears are torn a bit near the edges from mishaps in the past. And those eyes; rather than the standard black beads, her eyes are a vibrant shade of silver.
Note: Her and her brother's shifter marks are located on the backs of their necks, directly on the spine.
The Good::History:
Happy, cheerful, Exotic, Friendly, Poetic.
She's as close to a bard as you get these days, constantly coming up with beautiful lyrics and poems. She's a loyal friend, and a trustworthy companion. Sadly though, she's bipolar, so this is only half of her personality.
The Bad::
Depressed, snappish, exotic, anti-social.
Ah yes, the ugly seconds. Some days, Beth can be quite bipolar, and on these days she can go from happy and cheerful to sour and depressed in under a second for seemingly no reason. During these times, though she's still loyal, she'll become silent or snappish, where everything becomes sarcastic and cruel. It's due to this that she separates herself from social events and large groups.
Childhood::Sample:
Beth was born in North Michigan, with her family of two loving mothers and her twin brother Kyle. She and Kyle were always together, and at times it was like they shared a mind. Being otherwise identical twins.. well, Beth hadn't always been a girl.
She was three when they finished the operations. Beth, originally Brett, was due to die from a cancerous tumor in (his), well, his groin. The surgery would've left him sterile and forever 'young'.
Beth's two mothers, Joanne and Kate, decided it best to just change around his gender, in hopes she'd grow up normal. It worked well enough, and though Beth is otherwise sterile, the young age left her very much female after the surgeries were through.
Kyle and Beth don't remember ever being brothers.
Teenage Years::
Beth learned that she was a shifter when she turned thirteen. This was when her already weird ass family became weirder... cause Joanne was the shifter parent. Joanne, the one who bore the twins, wasn't known to be a shifter by her wife Kate or her two children, and as such, it came as a surprise when one day, as they practiced piano, Beth suddenly flopped over in the pain of her first change. Joanne was calm about it whilst the other two so-far-non-shifters freaked. When Beth became her batty self, the freak out continued... and Joanne had to eventually clap their heads together (ouch) to get them to stop.
A long explanation and a few arguments later, it became clear that this half-and-half family had a few things to deal with.
It wasn't until Kyle too shifted for the first time at the age of fourteen, a precise year later, that they decided it time to move to Shelpey, where the shifters were becoming more and more common.
Recent::
So the family of four moved to Shelpey, right? They had bought a place just outside of the city, a nice little house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Things were going perfect... and then, three months before in-character rp's begun, Kate and Joanne die in a car accident off highway twelve.
Now begins the lives of Kyle and Bethany Coleburg, the last two Flying Foxes known to exist.
Bob jumped over the fence. The end. ;DOther:
Gonna need someone to play Kyle. I'll leave it up to the player to decide her personality and some of his appearance, but try to remember he's Beth's identical twin.
Kyle MUST have a Greater Flying Fox for his animal form, and a six foot wingspan is a must. Otherwise, blah.
