Amber's long black hair reaches to about the middle of her chest. Most of the time it's tied with a dark indigo blue hair tie in a loose pony tail, but occasionaly she lets it hang straight down. For the most part she's skinny, but not enough to make her look starved. Hovering at about 5 foot and 3 inches, Amber likes to wear basketball shorts in the warm seasons and khaki pants in the winter, and as she likes to call herself, a tomboy. Yet as much as she loves the texture of pants, she absolutly hates jeans and always tries to convice her father that jeans absorb the cold rather than keep it out. Her eyes are a darkened yellow with some leaf green color around the pupil. Her shape shifter tattoo rests between the middle of her shoulder blades on her back.
Shapeshifted: Amber is just slightly bigger than the average size of an American Shorthair. Her pelt is so smooth it feels like silk and always looks glossy and well kept. The main color of her fur is a jet black tone with a white underbelly from her muzzle down to the middle of her ribs. (Just like a black and white tuxedo cat; black top white bottom, for the most part) All of her legs are mostly white except for her right foreleg which is mostly black. Amber was named from the color of her eyes which are a yellow-honey color with a green tint circling the pupil.
(In her early shapeshifting adventures she received a small half cresent shaped scar on the left side of her neck when she almost got caught by an Animal Control Officer to be taken to the Humane Society.)
Unlike many people, Amber's personality isn't soley on being a fighter or a lover, but carefree. As many young teenagers she loves making jokes and making others happy, but she herself is a rather quiet person. Others know her to be shy and quiet when she's not with her friends, but when she speaks her mind she'll say it loud and clear. Because of her shyness, she is fairly good at hiding and has a tendancy to use that advantage to eavesdrop on local gossip. Amber always gives someone the chance to prove their trust and friendship to her, but if she knows somebody has a bad intent she will do all she can to stop them. Because of her age, she is against killing no matter what the situation calls for which brings others to see her good nature.History:
As all other children she is one for new things. Amber loves to explore and find out as much as she can, but even throughout all her adventures she still gets startled by loud noises, but never runs scared unless she is certain it is a danger to her or her family and friends. Amber sleeps most of her time away, but when she is out and about running like a mad crazy cat she gets giddy and looks like she's galloping. As she wanders around the shop in her shifted form she happily greets customers and likes takes many rides on her father's shoulders.
Amber is the first kid in her family and although she was adopted she is cared and loved for. Since she was young Amber has lived with her mother, father, and younger brother whom goes by Blake. He is 7 days younger and was adopted a month into the family before Amber. For all her life she has lived with her parents who live by the harbor making business selling seafood in their shop named "Captain Steve's" after her grandfather who was a great sailor in his times. With good food and business she has some friends and unlimited food and play time. Because of the good business, in a way she is rich, but never tries to brag about it. She believes that being rich is never a good thing because it brings in thevies and robbers. Although her family knows about her shapeshifting powers, they don't treat her differently which makes her grateful and relieved. When she was about 7 she found out her shapeshifting powers when she and her father and mother had a fight. Later when she was exploring the town in her new form, she accidently strayed too far and was almost caught by the Animal Control and received a small scar as remembrance.Sample:

Second In Command for Theives later on.
Although it was noon on an unusually hot August day, people were still celebrating and holding parties outside. A few cool breezes whisked through the crowds, but the heat didn’t stop the hordes of natives. Loud music played along the streets while in the background people were calling for food orders while parents were scolding their children. Hundreds of people walk down the pathways that led to various stores, restaurants, game buildings, or various stalls. Many kids, young and old, ran around chasing and yelling at each other. Throughout all the noise, the people inside manage to get some rest.Other:
One particular little girl inside uses all the knowledge of dancing she knows. Five, four, three, two, one… Just as the thought claimed, the party music in the background suddenly stopped and every soul on the invisible outline of the circle quickly hopped to the nearest number. A few numbers were called out from the owner idling behind the desk. Each time a number was called, the participants glanced down at their card. Some groaned with impatience while others smiled in happiness.
At one point the young girl gave a squeak of surprise and scampered over towards the various tables filled with stuffed animals. She slowly walked around the tables… “Amber! Amber!” Unwillingly Amber moved her eyes away from the person and shifted her body so she was lying on her side to get a better look at the newcomer. In the process her leg swung out from under her belly, accidentally kicking a fluffy lion off the edge. A small murky black tom came lightly trotting up to her. When he was close enough to the desk, he plopped down on his haunches and started his observations.
“Ink,” Amber nodded calmly, unlike her little friend, “How are you doing? Is there something wrong?” Immediately catching on, Ink responded, “Oh nothing! I just wanted to tell you what’s going on in the neighborhood. That is ok… right?” Not one to disappoint, Amber purred. “No not at all, so what is going on? Is old Orville’s leg doing any better?” Ink’s eyes shone brightly at Amber’s will to listen to his ramblings. “Well, Lauren got caught off the streets by the people in white. About Orville, his leg is getting worse and nobody knows what to do. Do you think… you have any ideas?”
Since Amber was able to change into a human, she fully well knew about Orville’s leg, but she really hadn’t thought about if she could do anything. “Well let’s see… give me a moment.” Her eyes wandered towards the window, watching groups of friends hanging out and laughing. Her eyes were open and looking, but her thoughts trailed off. “Mom! Look at that cat!” The little girl from the early winnings had wandered closer to the cats in cavernous conversation. Even though the youngster was quiet close, Amber was more worried about Orville than a schoolgirl, but she failed to notice her glances.
“Leave the cat alone sweetie.” Her mother sauntered over to her. The child sighed, but turned toward Amber instead. Ink gave furious glances between the two, noticing Amber’s glazed eyes. The kid was just about to reach for her new prize, but before she even touched Amber, a tall man around 30 years old called out for what appeared to be his daughter. Turning the corner of the room he glanced toward the cat on the ground and gave a comforting smile. “Amber! Come on, we need to go get the fish.”
The little girl, obviously not paying any attention completely tuned him out intent on snatching her prize before someone else. Amber snapped back to reality and swiveled her head around to stare at the old chap. Caught off guard, the young girl gave a small yelp of surprised and stepped back while the young worker just patted his leg trying to provoke the cat to move. Amber swiftly bid Ink a good day and promised to think about him and get back to him on it. She stood on and gave a long stretch and a wide yawn showing her sharp shiny teeth at the stunned girl who tried to stand completely still.
Amber scrunched up her legs and leaped off the table making a graceful landing. Before going off too far, she flicked her tail in a farewell and ran off towards her “owner”. When she was within hearing range the obvious father greeted her with a pat on the head. He softly picked her up, trying not to make her to uncomfortable, and kissed her flat head causing the feline to purr loudly. He began strolling in the direction of the docks where the boats came in with fresh fish. “I figured you might want to come to pick out some fish because I know you love the tuna Arthur brings in.” Neither of them said anything, but all that was heard was a few thunderous purrs in agreement.

Everything about Amber is based off from my brother's REAL cat.... Amber.
Birthday: April 9th
Like me, if I could shapeshift, she prefers her animal form over her human form but accepts the fact that she has to change back every 24 hours... even if it is only for a few hours.
Blake means "black" in English and he is refered from MY real black American Shorthair cat named Ink. (Ink: fc44.deviantart.com/fs36/f/2008/284/e/e/Picture_Perfect_by_Toki_The_Wolf.jpg) Because both Amber and Blake were adopted they don't share blood, so Blake is not a shapeshifter.
Because I'm on a roll here's a few extra pointless facts...
Favorite food: shrimp cocktail
Favorite drink: milk
Favorite game (at the festival): Stuffed Animal Walk (cause she likes to hide within the animals)
Oddly enough, she doesn't know anything about the guilds because she's happy about her life she doesn't try and find gangs and doesn't want to hear about them. From her travel's she knows about them, but doesn't know they are shapeshifters and believes that all gangs mean nothing good so she tries to stay out of it, but still hears news from Ink.
She is well known around the harbor area as the shop's cat. (Captain Steve's.)
Her whole family (mom, dad, and brother) know about her shapeshifting skills, but still love her while her brother is just jealous. (Yes... if I could shapeshift, I would rub it in my brother's face EVERY SINGLE DAY.)
Amber doesn't really have a scar in real life... I would be giving her so much attention if she did and Ink would get so jealous he wouldn't even follow me around anymore.
Even though she is well... basicly half cat, she still loves the water.
As all people, it may seem like she only has strengths, but she does have weaknesses. I'll post them here, just so I don't forget, and because just to show... but try not to use them to your advantage at roleplaying cause that's unfair.
Strengths: intelligent, sly (sneaky), fast, observant (has ability to tell who are shape shifteres; only in animal form though), has many friends/allies
Weaknesses: Trusts people more easily, not as strong
Both: thinker, speaks her mind, well known around harbor, wealthy, laid-back, likes animal form best, calm or humorous most of the time
