Shapeshift Form: Dog
Appearance:
Human: (I jump around a bit here...) Bone, being born as an actual dog, takes his looks from his original form. Like a Belgian Malinois, his hair is short and wild. His hair isn't exactly smooth to the touch, but it's far from smooth, human hair. It has a light brown color that is somewhat wavy, reaching just above his eyes. He wouldn't know it, but most normal people would call this 'hat hair' from always wearing a hat, oddly enough this isn't the case. His face has a child-like roundness yet his head still looks slim with high cheekbones.Personality:
His eyes are a lively brown hue, always seeming to gleam. He is pretty short for his age, only reaching about 4 1/2 feet. Bone, or Tyler as a human, is more commonly mistaken for a younger kid of about 7 or 8. He doesn't comment though in hopes of just impressing his audience more. Bone is fairly lean and skinny, his ribs just barely protruding. They can't necessarily be seen, but rather easily felt. His arms and legs are long, but they are also strong.
His hands are a little bigger than he likes, but hey, that's part of being a canine yes? Now, Bone doesn't tend to shift into a human, rather staying out of that form as much as he can, but when he is shifted he prefers to wear light clothing. He normally chooses to wear solid T-shirts, some with few designs on it, along with some khaki shorts. Although he doesn't like being human, he finds great amusement with the zippers and therefore has many shorts that cut off from the knees, allowing him to choose between shorts and pants.
He wears tennis-shoes most of the time, but he is occasionally seen wearing sandals or flip-flops, they make his feet feel funny. His nails are long, yet trimmed at the same time. They aren't typically sharp, but they aren't really 'bitten' either, perfect just as he calls it. His legs are naturally strong, giving him good bursts of speed unnaturally 'like a canine's'. Bone is quick in turning and is experienced in short distance and long distance runs. Bone has many livid scars all over his chest, arms, and legs from previous dog fights for being so young in an 'adults territory'. He has some deep scars on his face, but they're still small, but nonetheless noticeable. As he is used to it, Bone easily ignores the many glances and stares he receives whenever he shifts.
Shifted (Belgian Malinois):
Color: Bone, overall, is a light fawn (tan) color with more specific black markings at the tip of his hair giving the impression of an overlay look. His back has a light shade of black covered across the withers, back, and hips--getting more potent as the color reaches the hip, as well as his chest. He has the unusual color of a pure white dash on the very front of his chest. His face is covered in a pure black mask that reaches over his eyes and covers his whole muzzle. Bone's ears are also black, always standing alert while his deep, brown eyes watch the world with a watchful, sharp gaze.
Build: His body build is normal for a Belgian Malinois, slim and agile. The Malinois is to say the least, more elegant than a German Shepherd Dog, and most definitely lighter-boned. Although he is smaller and lighter, Bone still posses the ability to be just as strong and quick as a German Shepherd. He is a medium sized dog, about 24 inches tall at the shoulder. His head is clean-cut and somewhat flat and bony, yet it is strong and held high. His gaze is full of life and intelligent. The muzzle is slim and pointed while the jaw is strong and full of white, sharp canines which are set in a level bite.
Bone's legs are long and strong with large paws with black claws. They are well-proportioned according to his body and stand seemingly well giving his body the general box-like look. His withers are slightly higher and slope down to his hips giving him a straight back. His tail has a strong bone base and is semi-long, reaching to his hocks. Bone's body overall radiates power without bulkiness.
Coat: Bone's beautiful coat is short and strong along with a dense undercoat, able to resist harsh weather conditions. His fur is longer at the chest, tail, rump, and neck, forming a sort of collarette. His coat covers his body without making it look like its standing or hanging, yet it's not exactly fluffy either.
Gait: His walking gait is short and snappy. Yet as he runs, Bone shows a smooth, carefree gait. The legs follow a center line of gravity while the back remains level. Bone, like all other Belgian Malinois, has a tendency to run in large circles and curves rather than straight and to the point.
Bone is a friendly, spirited kid that is easy to get along with. He really is a working dog, and is not afraid to brag about it--showing his muscles, showing what he can do, and more importantly, showing others he really can do something worthwhile. He is strong and proud, and of course like before, loves to work. Bone is willing to work anything for anyone that seems agreeable to him, as long as he's helping someone, he's happy. He shows no shyness nor aggression to new situations and will work toward them headlong. He is friendly toward everyone who gives off a good feeling to him. Although young, Bone is smart enough to realize to keep away from dogs that have bad intentions, or rather more meaning full--humans.History:
He isn't one to fight or run--rather, he'll most likely watch the show or try and talk things through. Bone doesn't exactly like fighting, but if bend comes to break, he will. He's a strong for his age and quick fighter, though he doesn't have much experience. He looks at the light side of life, somehow always thinking that something good always comes out of the bad--a light in the dark.
Bone all in all, is a rather playful, cheerful soul. He finds human objects amusing and fun to toss around, jump on, or play with. This shifter has an adventurer's mind, liking to travel around from place to place--meet new people, see new things. Bone is after all a young kid, and therefore curious about the world around him. He doesn't exactly stay in one general place, but he will come back to the same place many times. He loves meeting new people because all he sees of course is another 'play buddy'.
Anyway, Bone is a headlong character. He likes challenges, and he's pretty full of himself too. He doesn't brag about being better, verbally at least, but he believes that if he really tries, he's better than everyone else. His spirit is strong, and he's not the type to give up in tough... complications. He gives all 110% all the time, no matter what he is doing, even if it is the most simplest of tasks--he wants to be the best at it.
Not much from his previous history to his history. The closest I can say is that one of his parents was a shifter, but the other parent betrayed them and turned them in. The shifter parent disappeared and it is unknown if they were either killed, tested on, or simply disappeared, but Bone was left alone to fend for himself at the tender age of 2 months (dog years, and technically the time when they leave their mother anyway). He didn't even know he was a shifter though, but the first time he shifted was only a short time ago, around 7 months (just about 1 month ago). He doesn't like the idea of being a human, so he tries to stick to his dog form, what he calls his true form, whenever he can.Sample:
Bone learned to survive on his own, hunting small critters hiding in and out of the city. From then on until now, he has wandered around never staying in one place too long--although he always goes back to the same place more than once (all within the city). Through his past, he stays happy to himself because he believes eventually, all his work will pay off in the end and that maybe he would see his family again. Not exactly the same from dying from a 'nuclear bomb' of a sort, but it works.
If you saw a mouse, would you try to kill it?Other:
If you saw a squirrel, would you try to chase it?
If you saw a cat, would you try to bark at it?
Bone hasn't lived so long, but he knows all these feelings and he has done all these things. The pure happiness as he chases a squirrel up a tree... feeling the adrenaline coursing through his strong muscles, through his body from head to tail... barking at the creature until your throat is numb. It was a feeling, that Bone would never get tired of, the feeling to be free. It was a good feeling, he knew. Ecstasy. Bone lowered his eyes against the sun, his nose scuffling along the sand.
His muscles bunched together and suddenly he zipped off like lightning, like thunder, like wind and rain, like a dog. He was lightning! He was thunder! He was the wind and the rain! He was a dog, free as a bird in the sky soaring through the clouds in the great sky. He certainly felt free. Bone was the fastest and strongest dog ever been! He had lived through the most fearsome fights in dog history and seen the most gruesome sights in the most impossible situations. Then again, Bone was just a puppy, everything was out of proportion, but everything was right.
Bone galloped along the beach, fast as his legs could go. Right, left, right, left, streeeeetch. He could feel the wind pull at his tough fur. He could feel the sand press beneath his tough paws, spraying like dust behind him. Bone opened his mouth to feel the cool, morning breeze in his mouth. He smacked his lips, barking and some nearby seagulls as his ears picked up their shrill calls. Gosh he loved his feeling! Bone could smell their fear as he chased them across the shallow water.
His eyes locked with each and every one of the gulls. Bone was strong and fast and smart, he could catch them! He studied carefully as their wings flapped in a synchronized pattern. They glided over the water, staying near the cool breeze rather than high up with the hot air. The ground was nice. Bone evened his pace as to not tire out too soon. He chased them down the beach, all the way barking like he had rabies. Soon enough the birds glided out over the water, finally coming to their senses. Bone slowed, quickly coming to a stop. He purposely let them get away.
As soon as his short burst of speed came it vanished with the birds, out of sight and hearing, but he could still taste and smell the fun he had. Bone stood in the still water, body stiff, waiting for the gulls to fly back to him for more chase, but alas none came. He smelled the strong scent of salt wafting around him. He was sure he would smell like this for days to come, he loved it. The water tugged at him, willing him to fall beneath its pull, but he was stronger. Bone's ears perked up at the sound of the waves lapping against the shore. Good, everything was normal, but still no birds. He whined, and soon enough trotted off toward the shore.
As he reached high tide where the waves could not catch and eat him, he yawned, already tired from his playful antics. He opened his mouth, letting the whole world see his white canines, sharp and ready to tear at a moments notice. Then again, fighting was for old mutts. Playing is way more fun than having those dumb territories anyway! Bone leaned back and stretched, feeling the way his muscles loosened up. The canine felt his youthful muscles rippling beneath his fur. Soon enough he fell to his side in the sand, heated up from the sun's rays.
Bone's tongue lolled out the side of his mouth as he lay panting in the black sand. He could taste the summer sweetness on the tip of his tongue, the saliva rolling in beads of liquid, dripping on the sand. Of course the sand was already wet from the waves, a little saliva wouldn't do much now would it? He licked his muzzle, as if he could taste the salty water. Bone learned long ago the water wasn't good, it made him sick, but he liked the taste anyway. What could he say? He was a dog, purebred and full of life.
Bone sighed in lazy content. He carefully set his hand upon his paws, looking out into the ocean, wondering what it would be like to have endless energy. His thoughts usually wondered like this all day. Would he cross the world? Swim the ocean? What would it be like to be a fish? He snorted at the thought, then he couldn't run! Suddenly he was horrified at his mind's musings. He wouldn't be able to feel the wind through his fur, or smell the delicious scent of his prey, to smell the fear as he chased them! Bone was glad he wasn't a fish, but a dog, a land animal. Bone howled, it was okay though! He was invincible! On land that is...
Bone was originally a character from a canine role play, so if things are a little off about him, it's because it's that puppy side. It's hard to change a character from animal to human once you get attached to their character. ^-^ Also I'll be (trying to remember to) post in a sky blue color with Bone, words bolded, thoughts italicized. Also he goes by both Bone and Tyler, but prefers the name he was born with, Bone as it reminds him of his 'true form'.
