Djakael smiled lightly to himself as Chase sat down beside him, most of his tremors stopped. That was good. It meant he was calming down fairly well. He felt a light shiver roll down his spine as Danny apoke, smiling a forced smile, although it was nowhere near as bad as it had been before. At least he knew who he was now. "Likewise," He said in reply to Danny. SIlence settled over them again until another voice rang out, shocking Djakael with how calm and steady it was. "Likewise, Danny." Chase. Djakael's head swiveled around to sare at him, surprised. He stared for a moment longer then grinned, nodding, and returned his gaze to Danny and Amber. "So! Now that the introductions are all out of the way, I have a question. Why are so many people here? I could have sworn this was a Thieves' hang out." He paused, thinking. "And I could have sworn that I knew just about everyone in the Thieves guild," He added. Even though I don't really talk to any of them, came the thought ruefully. It was ture. He'd met most of the Thieves already, but he hadn't really found many he felt like hanging out with on a regular basis. They were nice, but he just felt out of place with them.

Amber impatiently waited for their greetings to end. Normally Amber would patiently wait for anyone, but she had had a long day. First she finds out about the guilds and she decides to join one. Without my parent’s consent, she silently added in her head. Silence filled the dead night except for the occasional sound of a vehicle traveling down the road passed their hiding spot, unnoticed. The stillness was broken when a voice sounded out, “Likewise, Danny.”
Amber along with Djakael’s head turned towards the wolf. Amber kept gazing even as Djakael turned back around with a silly grin on her face. Instead of just smiling, Amber attempted to encourage him. A kind little smile played on her face as she soundlessly dipped her head at him. However, the moment did not last long and soon she found herself listening in on Djakael’s announcement. “So! Now that the introductions are all out of the way, I have a question. Why are so many people here?” Amber was thinking along the same lines. Why were they here? She was tracking Danny, but what about Danny, Chase, and Djakael? She knew to mess with Danny, but ever since she learned more and more about the guilds she was extra cautious and protective about her family and friends.
“Well I was trying to find Danny, but I don’t know about you guys.” She knew it was best to answer honestly. His second statement though, surprised her, “I could have sworn this was a thieves’ hang out…. And I could have sworn that I knew just about everyone in the thieves guild.” This was a Thieves’ hang out? What if this had been an Assassins’ hang out? Danny would’ve been in trouble. What if she was caught here, what would she have done? Run? Hide? Fight? Amber flinched at the thought. Her death would’ve killed the inside of her family, and her friends would be grieving. She tried to shake the thought out of her head, but it kept taunting her.
Amber tried distracting herself with the conversation at hand. Answering his second question, she shakily replied, “But yes, this is a Thieves’ hang out, and I just happen to run into Alex and Trinell this morning and I became a member.” Hopefully he wouldn’t do anything. Amber wanted to make a good first impression on her first day. It would be bad if Alex found out she started a fight with one of the older members so soon. Very bad.

Danny, in all honesty, didn't have the faintest clue of what they were talking about. Thieves' guild? Hang out? What? And who were the people that Amber just mentioned? I'm so confused. What on Earth is the Theive's guild? And why is this their hang out? Do they have specific rules over who gets to hang out where...?
Wait, hang out? If people normally came here - which is sounded like they did - he certainly couldn't use this area for anything. He mentally frowned, although his physical grin stayed present. Looks like he'd have to find another hiding spot...or he could just skip the murder altogether. Decisions, decisions.
During his musings, Danny's eyes drifted over to the wolf - Chase, his name was? - only to find him staring at him. Danny quirked an eyebrow in confusion. Why was he focusing on him? Chase's gaze didn't seem threatening or anything...although it was sort of creepy. Danny just smiled at the wolf, hoping to create a good impression. Who knows, we might be able to become friends...although I doubt it. The stare is really getting on my nerves. ...Besides, it's highly unlikely we can get to know each other if I don't say anything. He then waited for an opening in the conversation, one that didn't involve the mysterious guild. Are there any other guilds, I wonder? If this one's called the Theives, what could the other one be? ...The Police? Hee!

Chase jumped in as they spoke, his gaze broken the moment after Danny had dared to stare back. "I came here for shelter," A small distant smile on his face as he turned and looked at Amber. He began to shuffle his tender pads against the cold pavement once again, a habbit he'd seemed to pick up on through the long week. He blinked slowly, his voice earnest and still maybe the slightest shakey, "I appologise, I did not know this was private property." Another small smile tugged at his lips, and het let it vanish almost as quickly.
Ears went back in thought for a moment, looking at the ground quickly before he looked up again, staring more into the distance then at anyone in particular. "Maybe you can explain what's happening to me, you seem to know more about this then I." Outside a stronger gust blew past, the old storage building creaked impatiently sending little bits of dust to scatter as it shook slightly.
"I've been able to do this for.. About a week.." His throat felt dry but he continued on strongly. He wasn't on to be weak, He wasn't one to trouble others, or even go near them for that matter. As soon as I find out, I should leave.. I can't risk their safety, they've all been so kind to me. His mind flashed to Danny, and he almost choked on his own thoughts. If he could picture himself when.. Well, it'd be a lot like him. He could just sence the bloodlust in the air as he breathed.
Taking a breath he shook himself off gently, bringing back his concience to the waking world. "Everytime I try to stay myself, I end up changing back by the end of the day. This morning.. I don't know if I should even bother trying anymore." He tried to send out a reassuring smile, more to himself then to them. I shouldn't be dragging others into this, but I don't know what to do. His heart rate seemed fast to him, but with everything that had happened today he wasn't suprised and didn't bother trying to calm it down.

Djakael relaxed visibly as he heard Amber mention that she had joined the Thieves' guild and smiled at her, nodding in welcome. "Welcome to the Guild, then. And don't worry, they wouldn't mind too much, I'd believe. Trinell would want to know all the facts about how it went, if I know her correctly. She is an avid martial artist, after all." He laughed and shook his head, amused by Trinell. She was one of the guild members that he didn't mind hang out with. She was a kindred spirit, in a way... He shook his head again, grinning at his thoughts, before turning his attention back to Amber and Danny. Then he sighed, dismissing his humorous mood, and settled on one more fitting to the situation. His eyes trailed back to Danny, and he was surprised to find himself not as... put off.... byt the Shifter. Was it because he now knew he was a Shifter? Or was it because he was just getting used to his unusal presence? 'Either way,' thought Djakael firmly, 'if there's any fighting here I'll do all I can to protect Chase. I'm surprisingly worried about his well-being... He's like a lost puppy.' Djakael almost wanted to laugh at the thought, but it was too true for him to do so. He merely shot a sympathetic glance at Chase, knowing how hard it was to be alone as he was to an extent. 'Trinell would know better,' He thought suddenly. 'I should introduce them sometime... Scratch that, I WILL introduce them sometime. Sometime soon.' He blinked, brought out of his thoughts by Chase speaking. He smiled sympathetically at him when he finished speaking. "Don't worry, you change back because if you don't you'll be stuck in that form forever. We can only stay in it for about tweleve hours, I believe. I know a Shifter who's a wolf, if you'd like to meet her? She's the one we were talking about earlier, Trinell. Is there anything in particular you'd like to know about being a Shifter? I could also explain the guilds, if you'd like. Did Trinell or Alex tell you anything about the Assassins, Amber?" He said, turning his head to look at Amber curiously. He kept one ear towards Chase, letting him know he was still listening to him if he spoke.

Amber nodded in return as he welcomed her. Once he added his own opinion about Trinell, Amber added her own and agreed, “Yes she is… active.” Amber couldn’t think of any other way to name her. She wasn’t always calm, more happy and cheerful, but still went by facts. Unique, the voice sounded in her head. Curse you, can’t you lave me be? She yelled in her head. Turning her attention back to the situation at hand she listened as Djakael explained the limitations of the power.
When he turned to her, she simply stated, “Yes, they’ve both informed me on a few tips.” Amber recited all that Chase had learned since they arrived and decided to give him her own. Cocking her head to the side facing the large dog, she educated him on the facts of the guilds. “What Djakael means by the guilds, is the separation of shape shifters. There are two groups, the Assassins, and us—Thieves. There isn’t any difference between the two, except what we do and what happens within the guilds.”
She paused for a moment to think about where she would start first. Since this was a Thieves’ hang out there would be no Assassins, so she decided to enlighten him on what it’s like. Continuing with her lecture, “First off, the guilds are nothing like gangs. Trust me on this; I learned this earlier just speaking to Alex, the leader of the Thieves. Anyway, there’s no vandalism, thievery, or killing unless absolute necessarily, but it’s technically still your choice. We’re not like some group, it’s more of a… well, a messed up family.” Amber laughed at her own description. “Really, it gives shape shifters a sense of belonging. Sure maybe we’re enemies with the Assassins, but we’re all still shape shifters. It makes us feel more… normal. I mean, everyone has to have an enemy right? It tells us that we’ve done something worthwhile in our lifetime.”
Ok, she admitted it, that was cheesy, but it was true if a person actually thought about it. Things these days; so easy to tell. “Like I said about having a sense of being in the right place, we protect each other.” Deciding that she wanted to stop for now, she looked into Chase’s curious gaze and questioned, “Is there anything else you would like to know that Djakael or I might be able to answer?” Maybe it was best that Djakael should answer. Amber was sure he knew more than she did about the guilds because he had been in longer. But that doesn’t mean you don’t know less. Amber wasn’t so sure anymore, but she would try to answer his thoughts.

Danny followed the conversation silently, seeing no place for him to speak. He listened very carefully to what they said; this was important information, especially what the fox shifter had said about time limits. In the future, he had to remember that. About twelve hours... He cut that line of thought short and returned his attention to the current speaker.
After Amber finished, waiting for Chase's next question, Danny thought over what he had heard. So the other group is called the Assassins... he thought with a smirk. Better name than the Police I suppose. He then thought about what his friend had said about belonging, and cold suddenly shot through him. Belonging was one of his deepest hatreds; unfortunately, it was also the things he envied most of all. A sense of being in the right place...? He would kill for that. (Well, he'd kill for less, but that's beside the point.) He wouldn't have to kill for it, though; he could join a guild. He could make friends. He could have a family that he actually cared about.
Too bad I'm not joining a guild, he thought bitterly. I doubt I could play well with the others. He sighed mentally, then focused once more on the group in front of him.

All his dark body could compensate for as he heard everything was blink very slowly. He would be.. Trapped? "Trapped?" His voice cracked slightly And he swayed slightly in his place, a spider that had been resting near his tail scurried away with his movement. Eyes glinted around him, Focus on breathing. All you have to do is change back. He didn't quite remember how long it had been, but what if he couldn't change back anymore? But he couldn't change in front of them could he? His mind spun, his slightly swaying shadow casting pillars of darkness behind them.
"Is there anything else you would like to know?" Family, is that what she had said? The pretty White and black she-cat seemed to be talking gibberish, her tail flicked back and forth gracefully as she spoke but it all sounded blurred. Family? The word repeated itself over and over. He looked to his Companion at his side, he couldn't take it all in. The blue eyes of Dj seemed to relax him but at the same time, he knew he couldn't allow that.
He had to change back, and he had to do it soon, but could he do it in front of them? A small mouse scurried past behind him and out the door, obviously terrified by the comosion. He would have smiled at the irony of he could breathe.

Djakael worriedly watched Chase as he swayed. What was wrong with him? Was he ill? Was he so terrified that it was making him dizzy? Djakael didn't know what it was but he knew he didn't like it. He hated not knowing what was wrong with his friends, no matter how new they were. "Chase? You okay?" He asked. When he got no response, he got a little more worried. "Chase!" He barked, tying to get through to the wolf. It failed, and Djakael growled quietly. "What to do, what to do, what to do?" He mumbled hurriedly. He got to his paws and paced around Chase, nudging him gently, trying to get his attention. It all failed. 'Screw it!' he thought fervently. 'I'm shifting back! I can help him better then.' With that thought in mind, he Shifted forms. He kneeled down next to Chase and carefully gripped the wolf's head in his hands, forcing him to look at him. "Chase." He said firmly, staring at the wolf's terrified forest eyes. "Listen to me, Chase. Just breath. Just breath and will yourself to be in your human form. That's all you need to do." He said, not releasing the wolf. "Now do it. Breath and will yourself to be in your other form. Relax," He breathed, giving Chase a reassuring smile.

"Chase!" His mind continued to wander, He could distantly see Dj nudging him, his mouth moving, forming words and trying to get through to him. His eyes seemed to plead, and suddenly he was gone, replaced instead by another shape, and he felt the sides of his face held firmly in it's hands.
His eyes felt glazed, as he stared up at the figure. "Chase." Dj..? The boy's unique blue eyes remained unchanged, and his own green eyes stared back as he tried to calm himself down. "Breathe." He did, in and out, mesmerized by the orbs of light staring almost right through him. His chest heaved, his heart feeling like it was a baseball playing swinging his bat without thought against his ribs. "Will yourself to be in your human form." He shook slightly, He'd done this before he could do it again. "That's all you have to do."
Still staring upwards at Dj, he thought of himself, longed for his body, prayed for his existance, and almost immediately he felt himself change. His bones seemed to replace themselves, Grow longer change directions, his face turning pitch black to almost porcelain white, his hair growing and becoming red at the tips of his bangs. His hands became hands, still feeling raw. The chains on his bondage pants jingled softly, As if to mark he was himself again. His eyes remained fixed on Dj's, The boy's hands stil placed on the sides of his pale face.
He breathed unevenly, he was holding himself up on his hands on his knees, but his fear exhausted body couldn't take it. His body gave way beneath him.
