He is an even 6 feet tall, no inches. His build can be likened to that of an athlete in terms of lean but well defined musculature. His arms are fairly strong from hauling large boxes of books up and down aisles as well as from moving shelves to create more space for the ever expanding shop he owns. His hands are slightly calloused from working with lumber and saws in order to keep up repairs with the hundred-some odd year old shelving units.
He wears no jewelry such as necklaces or bracelets or even rings. A pair of spectacles reminiscent of those worn by Benjamin Franklin - rounded lenses and all - sit perched upon his nose. His "Shifter" tattoo is in a most discreet place - in that unusual area at the small of his back where, when even wearing a notoriously revealing "dancing outfit", the tattoo is hidden - if only partially - and the small size of the marking aids in this endeavor of concealment.
His appearance is rather unassuming at first glance. His face could be considered bearing an almost regal nature but it is simple the mixture of strong cheek bones and jawline. His hair is generally a raggedy mess of ebony carelessly brushed through in the mornings. He does have bangs but they are unruly and usually disheveled in appearance. There is the almost constant presence of neatly trimmed facial hair about his upper lip and chin. It produces a distinguished air but nothing of the snobbish sort. He does have a small piercing in his left ear - it is a simple gold band that caresses the outer edge of the top of the lobe. It is a marker of his heritage and is the "birthmark" every male heir is given on their first birthday.[-]Animal Form[-]

This form is fairly self explanatory. Being a Shape Shifter of equine heritage, his chosen animal form is that of a pitch black horse that has the appearance of being from Friesian descent. Though the breed is an ancient one in the equine world, their likeness in the animalistic presence of a Shifter denotes a strong power and control over the shifting abilities as most equine-like Shifters appear as ivory, blemish free horses of mixed but strongly Spanish heritage.
The single marring mark upon his coat in this form is that of the white blaze. His bells disappear completely and there is no earring in this form either. The tail and mane lengthen even more so, the waves casually denoted in the previous form now become much more pronounced and much more of an almost curly nature. There is now, also, distinct feathering on each of his four legs that covers the area where the ankle would, conceivably, be located. He can not talk so much as whinny and nicker and neigh. His expressions become those of the equine.
[-] He is not a particularly religious person but he does believe that there is a God, that this God does control the universe, and that this God does have a hand in choosing where he will end up upon his death. It is, however, for solely moral reasons that he has chosen to remain "pure" until he is prepared to enter into the holy sacrament of matrimony for the first and, hopefully, only time. marriage does frightened him - the thought, not the deed - simply because of the unknowing and the idea that his marriage could end up like his parents' disastrous one.History:
[-] He is the proud owner of the family run business and, thus, is a book nerd of course. Given the chance, he will quite readily wander down a rabbit trail about what is good in new books, what classics are the best, and what to avoid when looking for certain genres - that is, if there is a willing audience in attendance. He has a particular passion for the classics though some critics and "experts" would argue what defines a classic in the literary world, you will not find it easy to persuade him otherwise concerning this choice selection.[-]Favored Book List[-]
- Call of the Wild - Jack London
- Shogun - James Clavell
- Midsummer Night's Dream - William Shakespeare
- Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand
- Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
[-] The party scene is not a particularly appeasing one for him - his is much more pleased with the loner type of atmosphere. This might seem contradictory to some because of his chosen professor - other than book store owner and clerk - but work and pleasure are two completely different hemispheres and worlds as far as he is concerned. While friends are nice, he prefers to company of the dusty pages of books and those regulars that visit the shop offer quaint distractions but their acquaintances are never explored further than the doors of the store or dance bar.
[-] His mother raised him and, as such, he was taught the ideals of a gentleman and the art of treating a woman properly in accordance with her status. He will most certainly open the door for a woman, give up a seat for a pregnant woman or even allowed the lady with children to go ahead of him in the grocery store line. Sometimes, if it is a special occasion - which happens quite rarely - will he even remove his hat or remove himself from his seat when ever a woman enters the room. That latter part is mainly reserved for the slim to none instances in which he had the time or want of a formal dinner/date.
[-] His night time job not withstanding, the majority of social skills he lacks and, therefore, he is rather an awkward man around strangers. He is simply not good at talking with people who he does not already know fairly well. This, of course, creates problems in the "making friends" and "getting dates" areas of life. This is not a problem during his second job simply because dancing - at least, the kind he performs - does not necessarily require speaking with the clientele and the likelihood of seeing a lap dance again is quite rare so there seems to be no point in bothering to be shy around those woman. Besides, the dance and interaction physically more so than verbally is what makes tips.

History:
[-] Born to a modern family, they were by all accounts and circumstances "normal". Growing up, he was the only child of two doting, loving parents. He grew knowing that he was loved and would have a place inherit in both his parents' hearts for the rest of their mortal lives. They lived in a quiant house with a white, picket fence and a small dog named "Dog" - that is what happens when a two year old is given permission to name the family pet. He had many friends but was frequently the child the liked to sit alone, nose in a book instead of picking teams for football or engineering a schoolyard round of Tag. One weekend a month the family would go to visit his father's parents - Opa and Oma - but never did the family go to visit his mother's side of the family. It was not until later that he learned why this was...
[-] Things changed on his ninth birthday, for it was the day in which he truly understood his otherwise normal heritage. Until that point, he knew nothing of his Shape Shifter ability - his parents knew nothing of it until that night in October. There were four other neighborbood boys staying over, the movie - "Nightmare on Elm Street" - having just ended, their rowdy antics filled the house with the sounds of laughter and rough housing. His mother came down to tell them it was soon time for bed and his father set to cleaning the living room of the aftermath of a free-for-all popcorn war. During the middle of this ruckus, his stomach began to hurt - it was only a twinge, at first, but soon turned into something fierce and, despite all his nine year old bravado, could not help from crying as the pain got worse and worse...
[-] At the hospital, they found out his inheritance and his father had to confess to a crime of silence he had committed many, many years before. His father was a full blooded Shape Shifter with complete control of the ability therefore it had been easy to hide from his family. Through marrying a normal human, his father had hoped to raise a family without any of complications or extortions that are often experienced by those born "gifted". His father did not know, however, that his mother, though being normal by all standards, was an anomally herself in that both her parents were Shifters, even if her father was only half-blooded. The cullmination of these genetics thus resulted in a painful, complicated, and delicate situation at the hospital as doctors worked to aid a frightened nine year old through an unknown wanted Shift while the parents argued, angry at each other for hiding such an important truth from each other. By the next morning, his mother was filing for a divorce and his father had run away during the night, ashamed and embarassed about the turn of events...
[-] The rest of his life was spent with his mother and his father's grandparents. His father was never seen again. The divorce went through fairly easily but his mother raised him single handedly. His grandparents helped a great deal and his education was moved from the public system to a home school that his Oma mostly taught. One day, during the middle of his schooling, at the age of fifteen, a knock came to the door and a strange couple stood there. They were his mother's parents and they had heard about their grandson's abilities. They had tracked down his mother's house in order to properly show their grandson how to use and control and master his newfound abilities. His mother would have none of it and, after much yelling, sent them away with a promise to bring down a restraining order should they show up again...
[-] On his sixteenth birthday, he started working in the family owned book store - Bound to Please - with the promise of later handing over the keys to him when he was old enough. It was his birthright to own and run and take care of that book store. He loved working in the book store and soon know all the regulars on a first name basis. Some of the older couples would come in just to talk with him, curious about the strange lad that almost lived in the book store now for there were nights that - in the back room - he would stay the night and his mother say nothing wrong with this since his mother trusted him and his grades were always tops. It was in his seventeenth year that he was first introduced to the art of the exotic dance. It was purely by accident because at the first and only party he attended, it was found out that reading was not his only passion. While dancing with a few of his friends, the house at which the party was being hosted belonged to the owners of the local dance bar. The man of the house offered him his card, saying that if he wanted to ever make some extra money, he should call the number. He put the card up, thanked the man, and did not think about the offer again for some years to come...
[-] After graduation, he did not go to college like most of his classmates. Even though he graduated at the top of the senior class, he did not go to college. Doing so would have involved moving away from his precious book store so he stayed behind while all his high school friends moved away. His mother did not mind and, that night, the keys to the book store were handed over to him and he was made the owner in a large ceremony involving his small family. It was the happiest that he had ever been. While cleaning out the back room to make the shop more suitable for living in for he intended to make the store his new home, he found a forgotten card in the back pocket of an old pair of jeans. It was for the dance bar at the docks. Curious, he called the number, talked with the owner who remembered him, and set up an appointment. A week later, he was in training in the tasty form of dance known as exotic. Two months after this, he was the headliner every Saturday night at the dance bar Bronco's...He is twenty-five now, been headlining at the club for six years and never had a girlfriend...
He is completely in control of his shape shifting abilities now through practicing on his own without his mother's knowledge.
Other:
- From the outside, the store front was rather unremarkable in that the sign was half lite and hung from its hinges in manner as dejected as the place in which the store had been living those many decades. There was a thin, almost imperceptible layer of dust upon nearly ever article within the store. The door was an ancient glass relic and the bell had long ago lost its ability to ring. The windows were long since fogged over with exposure to too much cleaning supplies.
- The name of this establishment is Bound to Please and it is a well aged family heirloom that had been within the current proprietor's family for many generations. It currently was into its fifth inheritance. The name of the owner is Adriano Sable Hussar but the moniker on the deed is Maine - he is, quite certainly, the owner of the book store. There is quite a logical reason for this strange change in names but it will not be discussed here nor will the owner give up such information freely. The owner himself is a mysterious fellow who keeps to himself for the most part but is friendly enough to those who wander in off the streets into the well aged aisles of the book emporium.
- Inside, those mythical aisles are piled high with books upon books upon books from ancient tomes written in the obscure anels of literary history to newer, more modern volumes found for discount prices when compared to the "bargain bins" at the retail, marketed stores. There is a sort of ordered disorder to the place that only the owner and regulars can understand. Try finding something on your own and you are more likely to become lost rather actually find anything.
- As it stood, the current proprietor was sitting behind the only clean surface in the book store and had his legs propped against the edge of the bottom of the desk, lounging with hands lashed together across a flat stomach. He was dozing, ignoring the detailed list of chores that he had written to himself and quietly trying to catch up on the missed hours of sleep. The previous night had been unnaturally late due to a large party having wanted the "Executive Special" and that meant three more hours of dancing and entertaining ontop of an already long, six hour shift. That thus resulted in a highly tired, slightly irratible book store owner currently slumbering in the dulldrumbs of store hours - in between two and four when the majority of costumers were either still in school or not gotten off of work yet.
