Appearance:
Snake: Airyll's Shifted form happens to be one of the deadliest snakes known to mankind; the black mamba.Personality:
In this form, she is an incredible 3.2 metres long (nearly 11 feet long) and is of a gun-metal grey colour, with her underbelly a slightly less grey, more creamy colour. Like all black mambas, the inside of her mouth is jet black, and if she ever happens to open it in your direction it is advised that you run. She also has a small hood on her neck that she well flatten when she feels threatened in this form, although it's not really on par with the threatening hood of a cobra at all. (And she regularly wishes that it was.)
Her venom is deadly in this form, and keeping in mind that the mortality rate of a black mamba bite is 100% for a human being, it's advisable to avoid this snake if she happens to be in a foul mood.
Human: Much like her snake form, Airyll is relatively slender. Of course, this does not constitute weakness; on the contrary Airyll does a lot of archery and has quite a lot of power in her upper half.
In honour of her Shifted form, which she takes pride in, Airyll also dyed her hair. It took a while, and it's not quite perfect, but her hair is now mostly silver, with a few light blonde streaks here and there. It is surprisingly pretty, always tied back into a high ponytail and with her fringe brushed to the right side of her face, covering half of her eye. It's also quite soft and fine despite it's dye treatment, and is generally pretty. Her eyes are a of a grey-blue colour, almost looking silver themselves, bright and energetic. She doesn't hide emotion very well, so her eyes are little windows into her soul most of the time.
She's not necessarily a fashionable sort of young woman, but Airyll does like to look nice most of the time. Typically, she's seen wearing blue-grey leather pants that are rather like flares, and a leopard top with shoulder-straps that's also a slight v-neck. Shoes range from normal trainers to walking boots to high heels to high heeled boots, all depending on what she's doing that day.
She also, somewhere, had quite a fetching trench-coat that people suspect she paid a lot of money to have made. It has a high collar, and is actually done up with a zip rather than buttons.
Her Shifter tattoo is on her inner right thigh, so thankfully it's not going to be noticed by the general public under any circumstances, and on her left arm, Airyll has a small patch that looks like it has been burnt. It's not noticeable, but Airyll doesn't try to cover it up either, as she's quite proud of her first archery accident and doesn't mind being reminded of the days she was learning to use a bow and arrow.
Airyll, or Airy-Fairy as she is sometimes known, is an actress and a good liar. She has a near magical way with words, particularly in writing, and has enough wit in her head that she can both get into sticky situations, and wriggle her way back out of them without ever needing to get physical.History:
At first glance, she could almost be a slut. She has a nice body and she knows it. More than this, she isn't afraid to use it in order to get information out of people, or generally just manipulate them into doing something she wants. She's oddly selfish in this way and most of her actions are self-motivated the majority of the time. The only exceptions to this rule are friends and family.
She's a bouncy, cheery sort of type who is bubbly on good days. She's somewhat touchy-feely, and as she generally prefers male company to female company she also tends to be quite flirty. She's perverted on the best of days and laughs in situations you would expect most people not to laugh at. In a few words, Airyll is opinionated, headstrong and reckless. It makes her a great journalist. The fact she's such a good liar also makes her a great... well, almost anything.
As it stands, Airyll currently works as an under-cover journalist. Her side job (or real job as everybody else sees) is as a dancer-come-waitress at a nightclub. Researching any story she can find, Airyll uses her side job to get comfortable with the residents of Shelpey and tease information out of them without them even knowing they're giving her potential headlines.
There's not much to say about Airyll that isn't overly average.Sample:
Being a gifted girl, she struggled with her schooling, never socialising well with the other kids. She was of the attitude that most of the other children were scum of the earth and Airyll did not tolerate fools gladly. She still doesn't, and although she's quite a bit older than she was then she still struggles with her socialisation sometimes.
Her parents were average people, they both had jobs and both earned decent amounts, but they were never rich. They had enough to get them by, and that was all that really mattered. Airyll grew up with pressure to be better than her parents were, and while she hid it well it caused quite a bit of depression whenever she failed.
She had a talent for writing, and as Airyll grew older she began to write small articles for a relatively small magazine. She improved on her articles until she eventually became a journalist, travelling to different places to make more interesting articles. It's not a bad job, and she enjoys it greatly, using her Shifting abilities in secret to get up-close and personal with some of her subjects. The fact she could make such detailed articles soon had her promoted to an undercover journalist; a journalist who went undercover and used a cover job to try and help them get interesting stories normally unachievable.
Archery was something she had practised since early teenage years and she has great skill at it. Airyll still has one or two contacts from her old archery club, and still has her bow and a fresh supply of arrows, to boot.
A gifted girl, but one who lived a relatively average life, Airyll came to Shelpey Alley after hearing rumours of the gangs, and deciding it would make an interesting article. Of course, now as an undercover journalist and also working at a night club, perhaps she got more than she bargained for?
... Chyeah. You know me.Other:
Nicknames: Airy, Airy-Fairy, Air-Bear
Sexuality: Airyll almost swings both ways equally. She prefers guys just the tiniest bit more than girls.
Recruit? Having heard of the gangs, Airyll is trying to find out more about the both of them. It's possible that the guild who plays themselves off as the best might get her to join them, but... Airyll's a natural liar. She's a potential turncoat regardless of who she joins, if she is enticed to a guild.
