Age: Eight
Gender: Male

Shapeshift Form: panther
Appearance:
Seth is a perfect little mix of Tabris and Rohjyx, although as he grows he will undoubtedly look more and more like his father.Personality:
Human: Seth's eyes are the same icy blue eyes possessed by his father, although they are filled to the brim with emotions more often than not. Seth has not learned how to mask his emotions whatsoever. He has a head of black hair like his father too, although here and there are some slightly lighter patches that look almost more brown than black. Probably from his mother, but these too will disappear and be replaced by black as he grows up.
He has your typical "young boy" face, but seems to have inherited his mother's build in that he is somewhat refined for his age. His time spent in cat form as he was growing up means he has several catlike reflexes and can be quite agile at times. However, Seth still sometimes struggles with this funny two-legged form, and can be a bit of a clumsy soul. He has inherited his mother's carefree fashion sense, dressing in somewhat baggy trousers (which of course, doesn't help his clumsiness) and generally plain, slightly-too-large-for-him t-shirts.
Feline: Seth did not inherit leucism from his mother, and as such, his coat is as black as his father's is. The rosettes on it are almost invisible against the dark coat, but they do show up if you look for them. His coat is very well looked after, no doubt influenced by his mother, and the fur is soft and smooth. He's almost a bit like a plush toy, the sort you just want to cuddle and cuddle and cuddle, except this plush toy comes with the full set of claws and teeth as well.
His claws are still somewhat delicate thanks to his age and he is still obviously a young panther; although bigger than a housecat he's only about half the size of his father's own panther form right now and he has a lot of growing to do. His teeth, however, are in perfect condition, and Seth won't hesitate to use them if he feels just that threatened.
A small oddity about Seth that makes him instantly recognisable is the white spot on his chest. Quite what caused this, nobody really knows, but it's rather telling of his lineage and also makes him a nice match to his sister; who has a white pelt like her mother but a black spot on her chest in the same place Seth has his.
If you were told of Seth's personality alone, and not shown what he looked like, you would never believe he was the son of the serious, work-related and almost cold-hearted Rohjyx and the fun loving, sarcastic and near-careless Tabris. Not at first glance, anyway.History:
Seth is a very loving and very caring little boy. He's exceptionally shy and, while independent in many ways, is still very reliant on his mother and his father to show him what's safe and what's not. This could also be partially attributed to the fact he's an animal to human Shifter, meaning human society confuses him regularly at times. He's twitchy and jumpy in situations that he isn't comfortable with and is very quiet, to the point you might think him a mute.
He doesn't understand why Daddy's friends, the Assassins, can't get along with the Thieves. Uncle Roscy tried hard to explain it to him, but all Seth managed to do was argue, and Seth refuses to believe that the Thieves are as bad as they tend to sound. At the same time, however, if he was confronted with a member of the Thieves, he would try and run away. Cowardice is the better part of valour for this little one.
He makes friends easily if you can get past his shy and quiet exterior, and he's a very submissive character. He hates being shouted at and dislikes arguing, and as such Seth is almost impossible to get angry. The only real things that can make this boy shout and swear and fight are his family; Seth would go to any distance to keep his sister safe and would argue until blue in the face if you insulted either of his parents. If Seth actually had friends his age, he would probably do the same for them.
He's a bit of a lonely soul, especially now that Kaija and Daddy have gone away for a bit, and is regularly caught with either his mother or Roscoe, his two other favourite people in the world. He dislikes being on his own for long periods of time as this actually frightens and panics him; Seth is also a little bit afraid of the dark. But he won't admit that to you, because even Seth has a bit of pride in him.
Very non-confrontational and a firm believer in second chances, Seth tends to get labelled an easy pushover. Many find his innocence cute and the girls he has met especially seem to find him adorable and sweet, particularly in comparison to his rough-and-tumble sister Kaija. He doesn't exactly enjoy being called "cute" and "adorable" because Seth likes to think he's quite the tough little man, but the glares he will throw at you for calling him such names are always undermined by the blush that will appear on his cheeks.
Oh. He's also a mommy's boy.
Seth was born to two rather unlikely parents; the leader of the Assassins and his weird little girlfriend he happened to meet one fateful night. He was also one of two; his fraternal twin Kaija was conceived the same night he was, and both were a complete accident.Sample:
Tabris threw enough fits about the fact she was pregnant (once she worked it out) that you would have thought she would care for neither of her children, but as it turned out, she made a fine mother and cared for both her children deeply. Of course, Rohjyx made a fine father, so Seth was generally set for the life the instant he came into the world. He grew up next to his twin and, as both were born animal to human shifters (Tabris was in her natural animal form when she birthed the pair of them) they grew up as little kitties for the first several years of their lives.
The world was an interesting place. Funny smells of very strange things, odd sounds. Mommy and Daddy were never too far away, sometimes taking turns to care for him and his sister, and a strange edition to the family was Uncle Roscy. Seth never had seen a stranger looking cat, but he loved Uncle Roscy all the same and Uncle Roscy watched diligently over him and his sister whenever his parents were both busy.
By the time Seth and Kaija were six, Seth had learned that Daddy had an important job looking after lots of special people just like him and his sister. Some of them were Daddy's and Mommy's friends, and others were just people that Daddy knew. Uncle Roscy helped Daddy with his job and also knew all of these people. Seth was amazed at how impressive it sounded and he knew that one day, when he grew up, he would want to be just like Daddy and maybe a bit like Uncle Roscy, who he also learned was a dog and not a cat.
Seth was almost seven when he first Shifted, and although at first the experience had him sobbing his heart out and completely unsure of how to do anything, Mommy was a great comfort and she explained (very slowly) to him about what had happened. It confused him at first, but with the help of his family Seth and Kaija both knew how to Shift from one form to another by the time they were seven and a half; half a year's practise making all the difference.
For the next half a year, Seth proceeded to learn how to use this strange human form to communicate and move and blend in; apparently panthers weren't actually supposed to live in cities. He was introduced to several other of Daddy's friends, including an Uncle Tenma who he had heard of but didn't see all too, too often, and some other less important people. Mommy did not always seem to approve of the people he met, and every now and then she would get hissy and spitty with people for reasons Seth couldn't fathom; but he never argued.
And then Daddy decided he wanted a holiday. He wanted to take him and Kaija on a break where he wouldn't always have to be at work, and where he could teach them and train them. It sounded very fun, at first, but soon Mommy revealed that she couldn't go with Rohjyx. She didn't want to make it obvious to the Thieves that things had changed in the Assassins. And of course, being the caring boy he is, Seth decided that he didn't want Mommy to be all on her own, because she would get lonely. Daddy agreed, and told Seth that it was his job to keep Mommy company and make sure she stayed safe. A job Seth takes very, very seriously, knowing that he has a chance to truly prove himself to his Daddy once he comes home.
Really seriously?Other:
Posting Seth, just because I can, and regardless of whether he'll be roleplayed or not. Board is inactive, there is no plot and technically Seth's my second feline which I didn't exactly get the go ahead for and he doesn't really fit into any sort of timeline.
Watch me pretend to care.
