"I love you, Kitty."
The leucistic panther Shifter was very happy, and as such she had had a great day. It wasn't that she didn't spend any time with her partner Rohjyx, because she most certainly did. Yet today had been... slow. Pleasant. They hadn't had anything planned, except for going out somewhere together, and in the end they had spent most of the glorious day at the lake. Tabris had been flitting from thing to thing; bird watching to attempting to catch pigeons to simply chatting with the leader of the Assassins.
Now the night was beginning to creep up on the day, and sky blazed an amazing orange as the sun began to set overhead. It was an amazingly pretty sight, and Tabris was very happy to stay curled up by Rohjyx and watch it until the land was pitch black. As it was, the pair of them were relaxing on the bank of the lake, a small area of woodland behind them if they felt like retreating to the trees for whatever reason.
The young woman herself was happily snuggled up against her boyfriend as he had been called. Funny, he was a bit old and mature to be a boy. She didn't think much of it though, not wanting to dampen the mood with something so trivial and so silly. Her head rested gently against Rohjyx's chest, both of her arms wrapped loosely around his form as if she was about to tighten her grip and hold him in place if he dared to move. A flock of geese, along with a few ducks, were drifting lazily over the water in front of them, and if it wasn't for the fact that Tabris wasn't particularly fond of water she might have joked about joining them. Overall, it was peaceful, and to make it all the more perfect Rohjyx hadn't been bothered about work all day. Yet. She still half-expected some miserable mood killer to spoil her evening with her lover as they lay together.
Closing her eyes, Tabris let out a sigh and nuzzled slightly into his body."You're so comfortable." She giggled quietly."I should bug you to sleep with me more often." Her mind only slightly perverted the latter sentence, and even then she did not think on it long. The sex was great, but Tabris didn't really care for it right now nor even care to think about it. She just wanted to enjoy Rohjyx's company as the land was bathed in the golds and oranges of the twilight.

"I love you, Kitty." Rohjyx smiled a little, hugging Tabris a bit tighter to himself but not repeating the words. Even though he did feel so strongly for her, he just didn't like to use the words often. He preferred to show his feelings than claim them with words because, honestly, you couldn't always trust words. Rohjyx preferred action. He was pretty sure Tabris understood that by now.
He wouldn't be completely silent, though. "Glad to hear it," he grinned, tone somewhat light and playful. "If you tell any other man you love them, though, just know that I'll have to shoot them. And I only shoot to kill." He smirked, only half-joking. He would shoot someone if Tabris cheated on him, but he might not kill them if she really cared. Of course, he really didn't think she'd cheat on him. Once glance down at her comfortably cuddled up to him showed that she was quite happy with him. Although, thinking back on how lazy the day had been, he was almost surprised that neither of them were sleeping yet.
Such a slow day was practically unheard of for the Leader of the Assassins, and part of Rohjyx's mind was still speeding off, thinking about things he'd have to do later, 'Sins he'd to talk to, reports he'd have to take and read. The rest of his mind, however, was focused on Tabris and whatever she felt like doing or talking about at any given moment.
"You're so comfortable. I should bug you to sleep with me more often." She giggled softly, nuzzling into his body. Rohjyx snickered. Oh, he slept with her often enough, alright. He let the dirty thoughts drift from his mind, however, and kissed the top of her head. "Just call me. I'll sleep with you if I'm not busy with Assassin business." He replied softly, leaning back so that he laid on the ground with one arm under his head. He kept the other around Tabris' waist. His eyes automatically roved around the area, noting any people that were there and admiring the beautiful colors twilight created.

How one person could be so comfortable was not something Tabris really understood, but at the same time it was not something she wanted to complain about either. After all, why complain about the fact Rohjyx was comfortable? She'd complain about something one day and then it would change, and that would be the day she'd regret every complaining in the first place. With a small, soft giggle at her own thoughts the panther Shifter decided not to dwell on it. Instead, she happily leant further into her partner as he pulled her slightly closer; his little way of responding to her statement of care for him.
"Glad to hear it." Was the first thing he did end up saying, and Tabris could only nod at that with a small grin of her own. "If you tell any other man you love them, though, just know that I'll have to shoot them. And I only shoot to kill." Rohjyx then finished, and this made the young woman chuckle heartily. She wasn't likely to ever tell another man that she cared for them at all, never mind loved them, but the notion of what would happen if she did tickled her girlish pride. "I would feel quite sorry for the poor bugger, then." Tabris snickered, highly amused. "But at the same time, I think the men of Shelpey Alley can rest easily knowing you're not about to shoot them. Not for that reason." She then finished, a small but firm nod making the statement very final.
Rohjyx's snicker was a clear sign of his own perverse thoughts, and it acted as near encouragement for Tabris to go back to thinking the same. Her mind wandered briefly; her expression seemed to become relatively more pleased and smug as it did so. Oh yes, they slept together often enough, but sleep itself wasn't always involved. Not at first. "Just call me. I'll sleep with you if I'm not busy with Assassin business." Was the answer her lover gave her, before he moved to lie down on the ground. Tabris briefly remained sitting, cokcing her head to one side as she watched him curiously and met his gaze with her own soft yet inquisitive one. She then chuckled, and let a playful smirk creep upon her face.
"Or maybe, Kitty," She began quietly and softly, moving to lie back with him but turning her body as she did so in order to face him, "I will sneak into your own quarters like a thief in the night, and shall simply invite myself in to sleep with you without calling." She had taken one of her hands and placed it over his stomach as she had spoken, 'walking' it up and onto his chest with her index and middle finger before simply relaxing to let it rest. It was not unlike Tabris to simply invite herself into anywhere Rohjyx happened to be if she wanted to see him, and by this point he was probably aware.
She watched him for a moment more, smirking at him and waiting to see his reaction, before she shifted against him a second time, wrapping her arm back around him properly and nuzzling his neck gently. So lost in thought and particularly pleasant thought at that, Tabris forgot several of the little lessons she had since been taught by Rohjyx, and idly following what felt quite naturally to her, she placed a small, gentle little lick up his neck. She didn't even stop to think how Rohjyx might take the action, assuming he would understand it was meant only as affection and not much else.
After all, as human as she looked, Tabris's main form was still the large white cat, and after years upon years of living as a large cat it's hard to kick the instincts that come to you naturally.

((OOC: Sky's good at breaking good moods. Let's see if she screws this up...?))
------------------------------------------- Here, kitty... where are you?
The dog was on the prowl, hunting down a certain black cat in hopes of catching him in a good mood. It was, easy to say, an interesting sight to see a dog just prancing down the street wearing a handbag around its collared neck. The jingling of the bell and tag on her black woven collar kept the hybrid from her usual stealth, much to her own dismay. Every step she took was echoed in an ear-tingling tinkly sound, the only thing really keeping her on track. Scent... scent... Ah, there it was.
Sure enough, thanks to a quick sniff around one of the usual gang stake-outs, the pup had mastered his scent and was on the chase in an instant. One moment, a walking puppy. The next, a sprinting wolf, jaws agape and nose flared. Water... He's at the lake, the silly cat! Figured our fearless leader wouldn't mind water... I was right. Heh. The things she considers worth knowing, right?
A twist brought her around a tree before she pawed her way into soft grass. Panting, but still able to pick out the scent, she scanned the area. Okay, Sky. You can do this. Just focus, not that hard. You're a dog now; follow the scent. Where is he...? The sound of a hushed voice caught her ears, and she whipped her head around to check it out. Sure enough, there he was... with some... girl? Tilting her head in confusion, Sky checked her over. No... she didn't look like a 'Sin. Maybe she'd missed her during the few times the little hybrid had met others from the guild? Hm.
More of the matter swam by, and Sky was suddenly swamped with questions. Why was he so cozy with her? I didn't realize mister shoot-first had a girlfriend. Is she a loner? Who is she? Better question, why do I care at all? She blinked those blue eyes, starting towards them slowly. I'm just curious, I suppose. None of my business, better not draw attention to it... or piss him off. God, this is the first time I've ever seen him so calm... I've never seen him up close aside of my joining, come to think of it. I wonder if he remembers me- Five feet away, she sat down and ruffed softly, tilting her head and wagging her tail. Another soft whuff. All well. My news isn't all that spectacular. It's just school stuff.

"I would feel quite sorry for the poor bugger, then. But at the same time, I think the men of Shelpey Alley can rest easily knowing you're not about to shoot them. Not for that reason." Chuckled Tabris, obviously amused by Rohjyxs' words. Rohjyx laughed. How true it was that, while Shelpey's men didn't have to worry about death from a furious Assassin, they did have to worry about it from a paid Assassin. Ah, they were screwed either way.
As he laid back on the ground, he kept one arm loosely around Tabris to the best of his ability, ending with his hand curling around her side instead of his arm. His eyes stayed locked on her face and as she heard his words about just calling him, she smirked. "Just call me. I'll sleep with you if I'm not busy with Assassin business." Was what he said, Tabris' smirk playful. "Or maybe, Kitty," She said softly, joining him on the ground but turning to face him. "I will sneak into your own quarters like a thief in the night, and shall simply invite myself in to sleep with you without calling." She finished, her fingers walking up his chest only to fall flat. Rohjyx smirked and snorted. That was a normal occurrence. Tabris was always sneaking into his room, into his bed, to sleep with him. Of course, sleep itself wasn't always included but that was besides the point.
"You mean like you always do?" He chuckled back to her, amused smirk still in place. "That would work too. Of course, you really don't have to sneak around. You can just waltz on through the Assassin territory and no one but myself and maybe Roscoe can say anything to you." He added, voice a little more soft. Tabris curled into his side a little more, arm going back to its place around his middle.
A gentle lick to his neck mildly startled Rohjyx and the large panther Shifter glanced down at the lazy-looking Tabris curiously, one brow raised. She obviously wasn't in the mood for sex, so why the lick? Not that he really minded, of course. He was just curious. Dropping a kiss on her head lightly, he quietly said, "You have some strange habits sometimes, Tab. I don't mind at all, but could you explain them to me? I'd like to know."
A tinkling sound and soft barks from a few feet away made Rohjyx prop himself up on his free arm and look over his shoulder, body turning towards Tabris' naturally. Icy eyes locked onto the blue eyes of a wolf hybrid. The bag around its neck, as well as the collar, didn't go unnoticed by the Leader of the Assassin's and it took Rohjyx a short moment of thinking back over his Assassin's to remember who he was looking at. "Ah. Sky. Is there anything I need to know or look at?" He asked, warm tone from earlier replaced by a cool, clipped one. It was his normal tone for newer Assassins, and even some of the older ones. A business tone, if you will. An intimidation tone, if you won't.
In his head, he growled at Sky for appearing and effectively pulling him out of his lazy behavior.

If there was anything Tabris was proud of, it was probably her skills as a snoop. She was skilled at getting into many places she shouldn't be, particularly when Rohjyx was involved, and as of yet she had never been caught sneaking in or out of anywhere. So far, anyway. Tabris wasn't really so naive as to assume she'd get away with it every time, but so far she had gotten away with it enough to make herself feel rather smug and proud. "You mean like you always do?" Rohjyx first answered in response to her claims, causing Tabris to grin widely. "That would work too. Of course, you really don't have to sneak around. You can just waltz on through the Assassin territory and no one but myself and maybe Roscoe can say anything to you."
"Oh but Kitty, that would spoil all the fun if I just 'waltzed on through'." She giggled suddenly, although in some instances the fact was she'd rather waltz on through than sneak around. Word was getting around to several Assassins by this point, that Rohjyx had a girlfriend, and as such she was being relatively left alone by everybody who knew. In a way, it was almost sad, but Tabris promised she'd never give up sneaking. Not entirely. "I'll keep the idea in mind, though." She added. Then, she smirked. "Roscoe's an observant guy, he probably catches me sneaking more then I think." Tabris then finished, with a mock tone of sadness.
Happily curled up with and leaning against Rohjyx, Tabris was rather happy to just sort of drift away into the land of sleep. She still didn't pause to think about the lick nor how Rohjyx would take it, and blinked up at her lover as he questioned it. "You have some strange habits sometimes, Tab. I don't mind at all, but could you explain them to me? I'd like to know." He stated, causing Tabris to blink in her own confusion. Wasn't he a Shifter, too? Surely it would have been obvious. Not able to keep a slight frown from her face, the female panther cocked her head to one side. "I... um..."
A sudden worry of rejection caused Tabris to falter slightly. She moved to sit up, glancing over at a tinkling sound and some soft noises that sounded like a dog. Rohjyx addressed the whoever it was; as it was clearly a Shifter simply based on it's behaviour, and she used the time to try and think up what to say. Maybe he was really human after all, and turned into a panther. Unlike her; she turned into a human. It was funny, Rohjyx was panther-like enough she had just assumed he was the same. In fact she had assumed all Shifters were. "I, uh, I thought that you knew, but I guess you didn't, and..." Tabris began quietly. She looked back over at Rohjyx, trying to mask the concern and probably not doing a very good job as far as he was concerned, and sniffled a little. "Aside from the fact I'm obviously not human because I'm a Shifter... I'm, uh... really... not human. At all." Then Tabris, for once, fell silent, watching Rohjyx somewhat apprehensively and suddenly full of worry that her assumption of her lover being the same as her in more than the usual ways had possibly, just possibly, ruined her relationship.

That cold tone was back, and with it, Sky's hopes of keeping him in a good mood vanished. Closing her eyes, she lowered her head to shake the bag off of her neck. It flopped paperly to the ground, and she straightened back up, eyes still closed. Opening them, she quickly whirled around the pair and into a shaded area. A minute, tops, and she was back in her human form, wearing her bakini as if she'd meant to swim. Probably took her a good few months to work the clothes into shifting, even as skin-tight as they were. Right, back to the report.
"I don't mean to bother you, sir," Her voice was soft as she walked back to where the bag was left. Picking it up and handing it over to him, she continued. "I may have reports for the school though. Some new kid's been disappearing during classes at random times, so I decided to check it out." Inside the bag, pictures of a little blonde girl could be seen. "She's a shifter, but it's strange... it's like she can't stay in human form very long." That hushed voice became confused. "I'm not sure wether she's from Thieves or not, sir, but I think maybe we have a trapped shifter wandering about. It could risk our public cover, sir."

Tabris seemed thoroughly amused by their discussion topic and quite possibly Rohjyxs' responses. She giggled an amused, "Oh but Kitty, that would spoil all the fun if I just 'waltzed on through'." before continuing on to say, "I'll keep the idea in mind, though. She paused as a smirk overtook her face. "Roscoe's an observant guy, he probably catches me sneaking more then I think." The smirk on her lips belied the sad tone she used, and Rohjyx snickered softly at her words. She was probably right; Roscoe was observant, so he would notice what most missed. Then there was the fact that he seemed to get an immense kick out of their being together, especially seeming to enjoy cracking perverted jokes that the no one not in the loop would understand fully.
"You're probably right about that. Maybe he's hesitant to come tell me you're snooping around because of what happened last time he barged into my room without knocking." The self-confident and smug grin that grew on his lips was nothing short of hilarious; he no doubt looked thoroughly amused by the memory, although no one other than Tabris and Roscoe would understand his utter amusement at the memory. Ahhh, good times.
What wasn't a good time was dealing with Sky, who had just reappeared in her bikini and looked ready to swim while Tabris pulled away from him, looking nervous. She handed him the packet of papers that she had dropped previously and began speaking, Rohjyx listening with half an ear while sifting through the papers. Trapped Shifter wandering around, huh? Depending on what she was like and what her Shifted form was, he might have a good use for her in his Guild.
Glancing up from the papers with icy cold eyes, Rohjyx softly said, "Track her down, find out her Shifted form, see if she's in a Guild and try to recruit her to ours if she's not. And do not forget to report everything to me directly." His orders clear, he turned his attention back to his girlfriend just in time to see her fidgeting and looking at him with concerned eyes. "I, uh, I thought that you knew, but I guess you didn't, and..." Was what she started with, voice very quiet and her entire air seeming meek. Rohjyx started getting worried; since when was Tabris so quiet, so... scared? He didn't like her being scared of anything. "Aside from the fact I'm obviously not human because I'm a Shifter... I'm, uh... really... not human. At all."
Rohjyx blinked, only mildly surprised, and reached up to pull Tabris back down against him. So she actually was an animal to human Shifter. Rohjyx might have cared much earlier in their relationship, might have been put off by the thought of being with an animal in human clothing, but after so much time he couldn't be bothered to care about something as trivial as that. "So you're an animal to human Shifter. I haven't seen many like that; most of us are human to animal." Rohjyx smiled at his lover and tightened his grip a little, hoping to keep anymore fear from appearing in Tabris. "It explains your habits too, though. All I can say is: don't change anything. I'm quite happy with you as you are." It might be a bit more sappy than normal for the rough Leader of the Assassins, but he didn't care. Tabris was his, he loved her as she was, and if anyone else had a problem with it they could kiss a bullet from the barrel of one of his many guns.
As for Sky, well, he didn't really care what she did for the rest of the day. Just so long as she didn't set fear back into Tabris, he was fine.
OOC//:...in more ways than one.

The wolfdog disappeared after dropping the bag it was carrying to the floor, but Tabris wasn't really focusing on the stranger. She would have been more irritated with the interruption and far more snappy and sharp if she wasn't suddenly worried for her relationship. How could she have been so stupid to assume that Rohjyx was exactly like her in terms of Shifter main forms? How had she let her normally sharp guard down to such a point? It made her feel very stupid, foolish and moreover, worried that she had messed something up that she really could have avoided.
She didn't make eye contact with Rohjyx after she finished explaining herself, looking down to the ground, or to the sides. Tabris did not focus her eyes on anything, body remaining perfectly still despite how her gaze flitted here and there. There was a silence after her explanation; Rohjyx had been dealing with whoever the other Shifter was. Tabris hadn't even looked at the other person since she came back out of the woods, and maybe if she had she would have commented on her poor taste of dress.
The female panther Shifter closed her eyes and waited for what felt like the inevitable.
She blinked, in a lot more surprise than Rohjyx had been in, as he reached up and snaked an arm around her, pulling her back down with him and against him. She continued to avoid his eyes momentarily, processing whether he was about to brutally mess her up for not telling him or whether it was a sign of acceptance. She honestly wasn't too sure. "So you're an animal to human Shifter. I haven't seen many like that; most of us are human to animal." Was the first thing he said. He didn't sound angry at all. The lack of anger in his tone encouraged Tabris to look upwards, meeting Rohjyx's gaze properly in an abnormally timid manner, although very trusting at the same time. She blinked again, taking in his soft expression and his smile as he tightened his grip on her in a reassuring gesture of acceptance. "It explains your habits too, though. All I can say is: don't change anything. I'm quite happy with you as you are."
Had she been her normal self, she may have playfully cuffed him about the head for being so downright sappy and cheesy. As it was, however, Tabris seemed to take a second to consider his words, before a smile appeared on her own face. Despite the fact Sky was still around, she couldn't mask the loving expression her face held as she moved to hug Rohjyx tightly in return, burying her head against his chest and mumbling something into his body that was too muffled to be comprehended. She remained like this for a moment, breathing deeply and calming herself down, and apparently very happy and comfortable. Another few mumbled words, probably an "I love you," and Tabris seemed to calm properly.
Moving her head slightly, Tabris turned her gaze over to Sky for the first time. She didn't loosen her grip on Rohjyx as her eyes trailed over the form of the other female, analysing her and her physical capabilities. The panther Shifter's eyes narrowed slightly in contempt. "Who's she?" Were the first words to come out of Tabris' mouth, a rather unfriendly tone at the final word.
Clearly, she wasn't happy at being disturbed, and as she lay there with Rohjyx, arms wrapped around him and chin resting on his chest, glaring with malice up at the barely-dressed young woman, you wouldn't have thought Tabris was close to panicked tears only a few moments earlier.

Sky bowed her head slightly, a quick nod. "Yes, sir. I'll report to you once I know more. Again, sorry to disturb your um..." The wolfdog eyed the other woman awkwardly. "Date." Nodding at the woman, she tried a tiny smile. Then her focus returned to her guild leader, a more serious expression rigid on her face as she nodded one last time. "Good day, Madam. Sir." With that, she stood and walked away, taking a route in the trees that granted her secrecy, and in mid step, became the dog once more. She never missed a beat as she broke into a run to head home. Time to pay a visit to little miss shy.
