He revved the engine and sped down the empty, cold street. The black motorcycle sped across the blacktop like an arrow as the boy increased his speed. It was such a rush to be able to go that fast. The boy slowed it down then, though. He was getting closer to the house where that girl had told him to come. What was her name? That's right, it was Amber, Damien's keeper. He could immediately distinguish the house with the party from all the others; there were lights on in just that house. He slowed to a stop in front of it. Getting out the sheet of paper with the address, he checked to make sure it was the right house. It was. With a viscous jerk, Shanks's pulled the motorcycle around, and drove it behind the house. He left it there, hopefully not to get jacked.
There was music. And it was loud. There was also a nice assortment of drinks all planned out. Shanks walked over to the drinks, and looked for something nonalcoholic. He didn't drink. Usually... Though, knowing his friends, he'd probably get suckered into it anyway. The drinking he could take, for a cat, it took a lot to get drunk, so he had a high tolerance for the stuff. With a sigh, he took a cup of cider. What the hell, right?
He moved fluidly among the many people there, and propped himself against a wall, one hand in his pocket, the other holding his drink. The black, 'Fallen Angel' shirt he wore hung loosely over his chest and stomach. His black jean's were baggy, though not to the point of sagging.
He looked around, his eyes slowly following people he didn't know as they moved among the large crowd. This was Alex's party, the leader of the Thieves, right? So that meant everyone there was a Shifter, or were they? He didn't see Alex around anywhere, but then again he had never met him. So he didn't really know what he looked like even if he saw him. He could see Damien, Amber, and Alexx, who was happily roped around a guy's he'd never met neck. He didn't really care; her business was her business, but he couldn't really say he didn't feel anything about seeing the two. What did he feel? Jealousy? Sadness? Relief? Grief? Betrayal? He wasn't sure, and he really didn't want to take the time to figure it out.
He took another drink of his Cider, and went over to Damien and his group of... well, the group of people her was talking to. The two he didn't know. "So Damien, looks like your girlfriend hasn't killed you yet." Shanks joked, Damien probably knew he was talking about Amber. If Amber knew too, he'd probably get punched in the arm, or kicked out; ifshe'd heard him. She was talking with Alexx, and... two more peoples he didn't know. He figured that he didn't know alot of people. Oh well. He chuckled. That was a funny thought, Amber kicking him out of the party for teasing those two.
Amber went over to Alexx and the other guy though, and Shanks wasn't sure if she had heard his comment or not. He turned to the two he didn't know, but knew the guy's name because he had come into the conversation at the right time for once. "Hey, I'm Shanks. You can call me whatever you want though, most people stick with 'Trash' or 'Gangster'. I'm not really sure why though, because I'm not either." Shanks chuckled, giving a sort of smirking smile. Then Damien seemed to spot Alexx, and he dived behind the couch. "I, proudly, state I don't know that guy." Shanks chuckled. He glided easily over to Amber, popping into their conversation.
"Amber, right? Damien talks about you a lot, so much that I feel like I know you already!" Shanks said, giving a pleasant smile and extending on of his hands, from his pocket, to shake hands with her. He fluidly wondered if he was going to be hurt because she heard his comment about her and Damien before... Didn't she have quite a temper? Oh well, to late to bail now.

"I know you have a big mouth but I figured you wouldn't let it flap so much, or so loudly." Caela snapped back, and Alex contented himself with a small smirk.
"Sorry, Caela," he shrugged unsympathetically, turning to face the male teenager that was being briefed by Amber. He grinned.
"Hi Danny. Feel up to playing?" He asked after Amber had finished her part of the conversation. Alex glanced up as he heard the front door open to let in another swarm of guests. Only mildly interested in who the newest arrivals were, the teen figured that he'd wait for them to enter the main living room before welcoming them.
Apparently, one of the aforementioned arrivals had other plans in mind.
No sooner had Alex made the conscious decision to not greet the door that he was nearly choked from behind as a female arm was slung around his neck, and the adjoined lithe frame clung to him.
"Hey there handsome," came the slinky voice from behind him. Alex made a noise something of a mix between a gag and a squeak, turning his head to see who the perpetrator was.
It was Alexx. Honestly, who else could it be?
He craned his neck to give him as much space between his face and hers as he could manage with her wrapped around his upper body. "Uhh...hi. Alexx. So glad you could make it,"
He edgily took a step away, finding that she still clung to him. His green eyes darted away from the girl, trying to find something or someone else to save him from the Fate Worse Than Caela.
When had he invited Alexx? Certainly he knew beforehand what Alexx at a party could mean. Maybe he accidentally let something slip when he was near her. Maybe someone else had told her? Or maybe she could just sniff out a party a mile away. Either way, she was here now...hanging from his flushed neck as he remained still, trying to think of a way out of this predicament.
Maybe he should just change the subject. Really, really quickly. Turning to the girl less than a foot from his face, he slapped an overly-bright smile on his features.
"SO! PARTY GAMES. I like them. They're pretty fun. And require us to do something else besides simply standing around idly. Lets play. And sit down. Or stand. Elsewhere. Somewhere that's not here. I will be required to move to a new location. Darn." He snapped his fingers, as if losing Alexx's close touch was an unfortunate consequence that he would just have to deal with. "Who else will join?"

Danny nodded in response to Alex's question, even though the explanation he received was extremely vague. Games were fun, most of the time, and participating would give him an opportunity to hang out with a small group, rather than the overwhelming mass of people that filled the room. Besides, there's always the chance of playing checkers, thought the raven-haired teen, smiling a little more at his own little joke.
"Hey there, person." Danny suddenly directed his attention to the girl in the chair, who seemed to have just spoken to him. Other than the fact she was shooting a rather nasty glare at his friend Alex, she seemed like an alright person. She certainly didn't sound like unpleasant company. "Since I don't think we've properly met before, I'm Caela." Danny made a mental note of the name before giving her a friendly smile and sweeping into a quick mock bow. "Well, I'm Danny. It's nice to meet you." His tone was noticeably more jovial, proof that he was growing more comfortable with his surroundings.
That, of course, came to a screeching halt as soon as someone draped themselves around Alex.
The aforementioned someone happened to be a scantily clad girl, no older than the rest of the party's attendants, with an supposedly seductive smile plastered on her face. Her total invasion of Alex's space had left the fox-shifter quite flustered, and Danny felt the tiniest twinge of anger. The other boy clearly wasn't enjoying the girl's close proximity, so why was she still touching him? Part of the raven-haired teen wanted to remove the girl, in order to rescue his 'friend', but he repressed the urge. She would move away in time...and if not, THEN he would remove her. Because even though they weren't very close, Danny and Alex were still friends, and only friends had the irrevocable right to be the only ones to mess with each other. The mini-skirted, half-shirt wearing girl was clearly violating that right and Danny wasn't going to put up with it forever.

Alexx's silky lips curved up into a sultry smile. Poor, poor Alex. He was so unused to human contact, that even the tigress's gentle touch was interpreted as a death grip. She loosed her grip and pulled back slightly. A small pout on her lips turning her face into an adorable little puppy eyed pout. "What? You aren't happy to see me Alex?" Voice slipped out smoothly, low and heavy. The boy shifted his weight uneasily. "Uhh...hi. Alexx. So glad you could make it," He slowly edged away. Alexx held back a smirk. Honestly, for a gang leader? Alex was so easy to embarrass. Not only that, but he made the cutest little faces while being embarrassed. The boy's eyes darted around the room, caged animal look in them. With another pout, Alexx's arms dropped down so they were resting on his chest, palms flat. Gaze dropped as well - thus they were no longer intensely gazing at Alex's eyes. 'There.' Alexx thought with finality. 'That should take some of the sexual tension off of him...after all, who wouldn't feel my sex appeal,' the girl deemed. Hell, Alexx had to be the sexiest girl at the party.
Alex turned back towards the girl, a large smile plaster across his lips. 'Nice try Alex, but even I can tell you're faking it.' Giving out a small sigh, she listened disinterested as Alex practically broke her eardrums with a blast of sound. "SO! PARTY GAMES. I like them. They're pretty fun. And require us to do something else besides simply standing around idly. Lets play. And sit down. Or stand. Elsewhere. Somewhere that's not here. I will be required to move to a new location. Darn. Who else will join?" Alexx winked at the taller fellow. "There's always more time. Later." She flicked her tongue against her teeth, eyes focusing on making Alex blush. Flipping her long blonde hair over one shoulder, she glanced over her shoulder to see Amber standing there. “Excuse me, but who are you?” Alexx raised one eyebrow. She didn't really feel like explaining who she was to this apparent nobody. Yes. Nobody. If you didn't know who Alexx Dovina obviously needed to get a life. Hello. Daughter of the mayor-to-be? One of the richest - not to mention sexiest - girls in all of Shelpey? Ring any bells Amber? "Only the hottest thing to step foot in this house. Who wants to know?" Alexx replied, purposely not answering Amber's question. Although her words were very saucy, she said them in a way that wasn't as offensive as it could have been taken. She wasn't here to start a fight. Alexx just wanted to party.
Alexx's blue-eyed gaze flickered as another person strolled up, voice lowered with a self-confident smirk. "But Alex, dear Alex, you look so good together with that little leech. Also, don't quote me on this, but leeches don't tend to let go easily. Would you like me to throw salt in her eyes?" God. Was there a law against a unknown person walking into a party and draping herself on a cute guy? With an irritated eye roll and an exaggerated sigh, Alexx sarcastically replied, "Oh, I'm sorry. Were you jealous? I'm not the type who's into girls. But no worries~! I'm sure you'll find someone." Alexx paused to direct a very catty smile at Caela. "Eventually." As clear as it was that Caela didn't like Alexx, it was just as clear that the tigress did not particularly care for her. Easily disinterested in this female who seemed to find Alexx repulsive, Alexx glanced around the room. Her eye briefly met with a individual of average height, with raven hair pulled back into a ponytail. A light smile was labeled across his lips, but his eyes shone intensely with jealousy and concern. With a rather wicked smile, Alexx stepped closer to the object of Danny's concern - Alex. The tiger shifter raised an eyebrow at Danny. A challenge - so to speak. 'Jealous much?'
After waiting a millisecond to watch any change of emotion that may have flickered across his face, Alexx continued her scan of the party room. Her gaze happened across a black shirt that hung loosely off the broad shoulders of a black headed boy. Doing a double take, Alexx briefly wondered, do I know him?. She studied the boy's back until he turned about. Hah. So she did know him. It was Shanks. Mrrr. Innocent thing - so much fun to tease. As soon as Danny decided to remove Alexx from Alex's side - the tigress had her next target. I swear - this girl only lived to make the lives of boys both heavenly and miserable at the same time. Looking back up at Alex, the girl smiled innocently - thereby missing the look Shanks gave her.

|
[/s] Damien huffed a chuckle and nodded in return, “I guess you could say that.” How long had it been? He quickly found himself submerged in his own memories. Absentmindedly he stepped back to give way for Trinell and... a guy. Ignoring the look of quick amazement at all the people—he could sympathize, Damien shut the door with a soft click. The music was booming and the gossip was so loud not even Damien could hear it shut, who had been standing right next to the door. It wouldn't have even known there were more people had he not been standing right there to open the door. Turning back to the... couple, maybe, the ocelot shifter patiently waited for them to get situated. If so, he'll just walk off. He could go for more of that cider... and some food. Why not stuff up right now while he could? However before he could think about moving toward the kitchen, Trinell spun around and introduced her friend, “By the way, I don't know if you know him, but this is Corbeau.”[/s] Corbeau? He'd only ever heard that name once. “I don't really know him, just met him outside,”[/s] That explains it. “But he has no one to hang out with yet. I told him I'd be his friend if no one else wanted to hang out with him for whatever reason.”[/s] A grin slowly spread across his face as he noticed Corbeau shooting glares at Trinell... who... did not seem to notice. Quietly Corbeau muttered, “Hello, Damien.”[/s] Damien smirked, so he was right. Generally he was not one to forget voices, maybe faces, but not voices. Now it would be awkward to high-five or shake hands with Corbeau so to speak. They had only met once after all, and they had been shifted. Next to that, their situation was a little... situational. Yeah. Situational. “Hey Corbeau.” What else was there to say? Maybe he'd recognize him too? By his voice, perhaps? He side-glanced around, wondering if there were going to be people here he'd know. Friends at least. “Looks like there's some... get together?” He said at last, spotting Alex with some g— oh fuck. Please don't let it be who he thought. Long legs. Short skirt. Tight shirt. Hugging guy? Yeah. Fuck. Oh look, Amber. Looking awkward. At least he wasn't the only one. He hoped. The leader didn't seem to... scratch that. He looked... scared? Slowly, his face frozen in shock, Damien slightly turned his head to his company with caution of keeping an eye on Alexx—even if her back was turned, “Umm yeah. Well. HAVE FUN!” With those last words he zoomed off to jump behind the couch. He could have sworn he heard a light greeting from someone. Damien landed with a harsh thump. Fuck! Stares...
Thump.
Blink.Amber turned briefly. Nothing. At least, that's what it seemed like. Nothing looked broken and no one looked hurt. Although she could spot a couple of odd stares, it was nothing too bad. Shrugging she turned back, but spotted... Shanks? “Hey, I'm Shanks.”[/s] He introduced as he walked up to their... odd group, “You can call me whatever you want thought, most people stick with 'Trash' or 'Gangster'. I'm not really sure why though, because I'm not either.”[/s] Amber tilted her head, at least he seemed like one of those people to ignore comments like that. Good for him. Just as she was about to greet him however, “Amber, right? Damien talks about you a lot, so much that I feel like I know you already!”[/s] Shanks grinned with a hand out to shake. Amber blinked and coughed lightly. He did? Would that be expected? She did help him a lot... she turned her head to the side momentarily. Damien was no where to be seen. Huh. Slowly she turned back, still curious as to what he did say about her. “Yeah, I am. Nice to meet you Shanks.” The two shook hands quickly. Turning back to the situation now... “Uhhh... hi. Alexx. So glad you could make it.”[/s] Alex's voice seemed almost... high. It was funny really, though Amber still seemed curious about the newcomer. Alex edged away as... Alexx? Ignored her. Frowning she looked upon them, still waiting. It seems like the generations were getting worse every year. Tsk tsk. A little peeved and quick to breath, Alex quickly exclaimed, “SO! PARTY GAMES. I like them. They're pretty fun. And require us to do something else besides simply standing around idly. Let's play. And sit down. Or stand. Elsewhere. Somewhere that's not here. I will be required to move to a new location. Darn. Who else will join?”[/s] Amber smirked a little at that. Only a few times had she really seen Alex riled up, who knew some... girl could? Then again, they were his weak points—not like that though! However, a frown crossed her face soon enough by this new girl's comment, “There's always more time later.”[/s] Then again... “Only the the hottest thin to step foot in this house. Who wants to know?”[/s] Scowling with an eye raised... she said nothing however tempting it was to spit out a 'your mom' joke. However, Caela chose her moment wisely, “But Alex, dear Alex. You look so good together with that little leech.”[/s] Chuckle. Oh what would become of this poor party? “Also, don't quote me on this, but leeches don't tend to let go easily. Would you like me to throw salt in her eyes?”[/s] Let us all hope that there won't be any fight now...
Blink.Damien peeked up from behind the couch, blue eyes peering out, watching, waiting, studying, observing... hiding from her. Oh crap, why now? Why here? WHY?! From his vantage point he could easily see Amber greeting Shanks, who had a light smile on his face. He frowned. They were probably talking about him... or just greeting. It seems Alexx hadn't noticed Shanks yet. Would seeing Shanks remind her of him? Would Shanks being here make her think that he was here? Nah. Wait, he was here though. Shit.Quiet as... well as an ocelot, Damien hopped out from behind the the couch, still crouching. He scurried across the floor, ignoring the grumbles of people as he crossed their paths. What was he a black cat? He wasn't black! For the love of—he was here. Wide eyed and ever-so silent, Damien stood, popping up next to Amber and Shanks. Amber jumped and clapped him over the shoulder, “Jesus! Don-” With speed matched only by... well who knows, Damien shushed her. Leaning closer in between Shanks and Amber he whispered, “I'm not really here.” He nodded seriously... as if he were serious. Blink.
Dumb ass. Amber scowled, but said nothing. Let boys be boys. Sighing she turned back to Caela's argument with this... leech as she called her. “Oh, I'm sorry. Were you jealous? I'm not the type who's into girls. But no worries! I'm sure you'll find someone. Eventually.”[/s] Amber and Damien's eyes furiously looked between the two, although Damien was a little more confused. This would not go well... Amber cut in though, “Come on you guys, cool it. It's a party. Let's just get on with the games.” Damien blinked and crossed his fingers behind his back as he scooted more behind Shanks, his tall friend. Please don't look this way, please don't look this way, please don't look this way, please don't look this way...c o u n t! one-two-eight-nine m u s e! one/ten h e l l o! Alex, Caela, Danny, Alexx, Trinell, Corbeau, Shanks n o t e p a d! See my muse? IT'S AT ONE. D<

Trinell stepped back slightly to let Corbeau and Damien talk, her eyes flicking more closely over the faces in the crowd. She was pleased to see a lot of fellow Thieves there, including Amber. The cat was standing close to Alex and a group of other people, some of which she knew and some she didn't. Didn't matter. She'd introduce herself and Corbeau anyways. She turned back to Corbeau and Damien just in time to hear Damien say, "Hey Corbeau."
She almost wanted to smack her forehead at the silence that fell between them, rolling her eyes instead and walking up beside Corbeau once more. He looked tense, like really tense. Was he scared? Did he not like big crowds or something?
At the same time, Corbeau wanted to turn around and growl at Trinell. Why oh why had he let her drag him into this? He wasn't a big people person! He didn't communicate well with others; hence his lack of friends at school.
Clenching his fists slightly, he tried to be friendly to Damien. It wasn't that he didn't like the ocelot, not at all, it was just that it was kind of awkward. They had only met once and it had been at night in Shifted form. Not the most normal of meeting circumstances.
“Looks like there's some... get together?” Said Damien, catching Trinell and Corbeau's attention once more. Both Shifters followed his gaze to the group of people Trinell had been eyeing earlier. It certainly did look like a get together of sorts, what with all of them standing around and talking to each other.
Trinell couldn't help but wince, however, at poor Alex's predicament. To have someone dressed so scantily draped over you... She shuddered. She hated girls like that. She really did. They gave other girls a bad name and never seemed to be able to provide her with any kind of entertainment. They only disgusted her.
So lost in her annoyed thoughts was she that Trinell jumped stiffly when Damien suddenly yelped, "Umm yeah. Well. HAVE FUN!” Emerald eyes wide, she watched him leap behind a couch with a loud thump in confusion. Blinking, she turned to Corbeau who looked faintly amused.
"What just happened?" She asked, her tone thoroughly confused. Corbeau laughed at her in amusement and pointed at Alexx with a grin. "Damien saw her and freaked out. Either he likes her or he has some serious problems with her." He snickered, his country accent coming through a bit stronger than normal and making Trinell grin in return. "Oh, okay. What do you say we go join them? The guy that chick is hanging off of is a buddy of mine. He's the Leader of my..." Trinell paused, trying to figure out how to say the Thieves without actually saying it. "family, I guess you could say." She added after a moment. Corbeau eyed her warily for a moment before shrugging.
"Sure. You're the one who dragged me here, after all. You know more people than I do." As soon as he saw Trinell's evil grin, Corbeau regretted his words. "Alrighty, then. I'll introduce you to some of my friends." She said, grabbing his hand and dragging him along with her up to Alex and his friends.
"Hey! Mind if we join in with your little group?" She called out, completely oblivious to the tension between them. She pulled up beside Amber with a grin, her eyes alight with friendliness. "I don't know if any of you have met him, but this is my new friend Corbeau. Met him about ten minutes ago." She jearked Corbeau up beside her with a quick twist of her wrist before releasing him.
Growling and glaring at her, Corbeau made a mental note to ask why in the world he allowed her to drag him around in the first place. Sighing, he turned his attention back to the group in front of him and offered them a small smile and slight wave. "Hey, nice to meet you all."

There was so much action going on around him. Shanks wasn't particularly sure which event he was supposed to focus on. It was just too much at once. Shanks had never been a real party goer in the first place, let alone a party with so many people. Were ll of them Shifters? He figured as much, since Alex was hosting the party, and he was the Theives leader.
Amber took his hand and shook it. “Yeah, I am. Nice to meet you Shanks.” "Hehe. Yup!" Shanks chuckled with another grin. He looked around for a moment, and when he looked back, she was gone. Strange how she seemed to just disappear suddenly. Damien too, but hanks had seen him take a flying leap behind the couch. Alexx, no doubt. She would strangle him if she saw him, Shanks was sure.
He looked around again, and then- BOOM. Damien was right there, Amber beside him. Why were they behind him? Was Damien hiding or something? "Hey, hey, what am I? A tree or something?" Shanks laughed, exasperated. So now he was just a shield to protect him from Alexx, eh? Well, he couldn't say he minded, 'twas but nature to sacrifice your friends before yourself. Not that Shanks would ever do that. o, he was far to self-sacrificing for that.
"Er... Alexx. Is this really the best time to start a fight? Seriously, just enjoy the party, drink a little. And stop torturing Alex, for the love of god, he looks like he wants to run away." Shanks laughed. He had picked up that it was Alex that Alexx was hanging off of, eavesdropping was one of his stronger points.
Shanks suddenly felt like he was going to be targeted now. Like he had brought misfortune upon himself by scolding, if that's what it could be called, Alexx. "Jesus Christ... I'm blaming you for this." Shanks said, whispering over his shoulder to Damien. Why was it Damien's fault? It wasn't, Shanks just felt like blaming it on him. Global Warming was Damien's fault. The fact that the earth had a thin Ozone layer was Damien's fault. The fact that Shanks was going to be killed by an angry tigress? Totally Damien's fault.
Damien would know Shanks was only joking, though he did sound a bit desperate for a way out himself. Oh, how he knew how Alex felt. Like a trapped rabbit. Oh, the irony of a Panther being a rabbit, the irony.

I'm also testing this posting box nonsense out to see how it looks.

Alex silently simmered under the female who had draped herself around his neck. He was pissed at her for waltzing in here and slinging her skinny self around him without permission. But that was just Alexx. He could tell her bluntly that she needed to fuck off, and she'd either do a wonderful job of ignoring him, or find a way to turn it into an excuse to get closer. She always did that. To everyone. No one seemed safe from her. She was like...like...
"But Alex, dear Alex," Calea piped up, smirking at the flustered teenager. "You look so good together with that little leech."
Yeah, that's it. Alexx was like a leech. SHE WOULDN'T LET GO. The male looked at Calea, wondering if she'd do anything about it. Knowing her, she'd probably just laugh at him, and leave it at that.
She did laugh, but at least was kind enough to give Alex the secret formula to Leech-B-Gone. "Also, don't quote me on this, but leeches don't tend to let go easily. Would you like me to throw salt in her eyes?"
The teen was prepared to agree to Caela's help, when Alexx seemed to cling closer against him. He nearly scoffed, thinking that she was bracing herself against the possibility of being pulled off, but then he followed her leering gaze. She was looking directly at Danny, who stood stock still appearing for all the world as if he was just barely restraining himself from stalking up to Alexx and hauling her off himself. Alex was slightly taken aback by their 'glaring contest' and how concerned Danny looked. It certainly surprised him, that was sure.
“Come on you guys, cool it. It's a party. Let's just get on with the games.” Amber spoke up, interrupting the tension that had risen between Alex and his personal leech. He wasn't sure if she and Danny were still having their showdown or not, but he felt less than inclined to glance up and check, for the fear that he might meet Danny's eyes. Why this was such a horribly awkward and frustrating situation for him, Alex wasn't entirely sure. He carefully glanced at each person's face standing around their circle, making the point of watching them for the same amount of time. Not one second more, nor one second less. When he came to Danny, he saw that he still looked pretty pissed off. A moment later, however, they were joined by another group of newly-arrived guests, and Alex's attention was drawn back to them.
"Hey! Mind if we join in with your little group?" Trinell asked, sliding up beside Amber, dragging a shy-looking boy along behind her. "I don't know if any of you have met him, but this is my new friend Corbeau. Met him about ten minutes ago." She jerked him forward by the wrist so that he was included in the group. He looked sulky, but offered a polite smile and equally polite wave. "Hey, nice to meet you all." Poor kid. Trust Trinell to pick up strangers at random from the street and drag them along to parties.
"Hi, Corbeau," Alex said, sounding overly-chipper. He'd decided at this point to completely ignore Alexx. If he had to move somewhere, or lean against something, though, he'd make a point of 'accidentally' crushing her against a wall or whatnot.
Another voice broke in. "Er... Alexx. Is this really the best time to start a fight? Seriously, just enjoy the party, drink a little. And stop torturing Alex, for the love of god, he looks like he wants to run away." Run away, or kick her out of his house. Take your pick.
Before Alex had time to make any kind of move, Alexx leaned ever-closer to his face and whispered a suggestive "There's always more time. Later," which left Alex closer to smacking her than he had been before. The only reason he hadn't up and done it already was that Alexx was a girl, no matter how twisted, sick, and sadistic she might be. And he felt that no matter how frustrated he was, he had no right to. Even though it sure would feel good.

ooc|| Astar said it was ok for me to cut in with Tyler. Yay!Tyler LOVED parties. He was the entertainer. He was the origin of amusement. He was the party man. So why he was late to Alex's little get-together was quite the puzzler. Sure, as well as being known as the merry maker, he was also well recognized as the "tardy one". But for those who knew him well, Tyler not being there was like a gaping hole in your sock. You may not notice it, but something feels iffy. In Tyler's case, something would feel amiss. His presence radiated recreation. The party wouldn't be the same without him -or so he thought. So again, why was he late? Simple really. He'd dozed off. Decided to take a nap that afternoon and before he knew it, it was 7 pm.
So now here he was dashing down the street through the mirth of people trying to enjoy their own nightlife. Subsequent to narrowly avoiding a few head-on collisions, Tyler rounded the corner of a residential street before coming to a halt. Gripping his knees, he bent over trying to catch his breath. After a few heavy pants, he'd steadied his breathing and stood tall as if unfazed and unaware of his recent activity. Straightening his jacket, he walked down the rest of the suburban street acting casual with an aloof demeanor. Of course, what he expressed on the outside was not at all his expressions on the inside. These emotions only increased as he neared a familiar house.
Bubbling with excitement, Tyler made his way up the small steps before making his entrance. Letting himself in, he saw that the house was already filled with people. He sighed internally at the sight. He didn't think he was that late. Or maybe the guests were simply unnaturally early. Either way, he immediately mixed into the crowd. It was easy to do. He knew most of the people there anyway. Nearly all of them he was sure, made up the student body. And another portion he noticed, were made up of Thieves members. He gave a few high-fives, hellos, arm to shoulder punches before sifting through the crowd to find the host of the gathering.
Tyler's height gave him a great vantage point and before long, he noticed the familiar brown head in the living room amongst the throng that had seemed to gather there. Cupping his hands around his mouth, he shouted a, "Yo, Alex!" before immediately making his way towards the destination. After much pushing and shoving, Tyler found himself on the edge of the little group that seemed deep in discussion. He kind of half-strode half-leaped into them and tried to swing his arm around the host's shoulders in a friendly gesture despite the already clutching form that had latched itself onto Alex's neck.
"Hey guys, sorry I'm late. You wouldn't believe what happened to me! See, I was walking down the road minding my own business when out of no where this guy leaps from an alleyway and grabs this old lady's purse. Out of the goodness of my heart, I couldn't let this guy get away with it. So I valiantly went after him through the many streets and shops. Finally, after a long chase, I cornered him in an alley. But it turns out it was a trap! His crony buddies circled me with their clubs and knives and it looked pretty bad from my standpoint. But I remembered the words of a brave man, Arnold Schwartzenegger, and my vigor was restored. After a messy and arduous fight, I came out victorious. The cops came and arrested the thugs and I was rewarded handsomely by the lady who turned out to be a millionaire. Oh, and I will be getting the key to the city from the mayor next month. The ceremony's private by the way, so I don't see how you could come to witness such an event. Sorry!"
The story was obviously not true by any means -anyone who thought so was truly stupid- but it made for great hilarity. His friends would understand. So that meant that about two thirds of the small group he had jumped into would acknowledge his sudden appearance. He recognized the familiar faces of Caela, Amber, and Trinell, Shanks, and Damien. There were a few individuals however, he had yet to make the acquaintance of. This certainly was the place to do so.
"Nice little get-together you got here", Tyler remarked towards Alex, "But now that I'm here, we can really crank it up!"
Tyler's attention towards his friend was diverted to the little quarrel ensuing between two female members of the group. It seemed that Caela's feathers had been rubbed the wrong way by the girl currently smothering Alex. She seemed familiar, after all, who could forget a hot body like that? But her name evaded Tyler. Maybe he'd seen her at school sometime, or only briefly bumped into her. Either way, she couldn't have been too unknown since she'd made it to the party and was not in the least bit disinclined to envelop Alex's body with her own. She looked just about ready to drag him to a room. How was it Alex got all the girls? Still, it didn't look like the fox-shifter was all that pleased having the girl hanging off of him. And Caela wasn't hesitant in voicing her disgust at the display either.
"Ladies, ladies", Tyler intercepted with a wide grin, stepping in between the two bickering girls, "It's a party. We're here to have fun. Any fighting should be prohibited from a time of pleasure. That's what school is for. So let's enjoy ourselves, shall we? I believe someone mentioned games?"
And games had indeed been mentioned. At least Caela seemed ready to participate. Tyler could always count her in for some good old fashioned fun. But what games to play? There were so many party activities they could partake in and so little time! And with the diverse number of people here, it could get interesting.
"Oh!" Tyler exclaimed, just about raising his hand as if to get called on (stupid school imprinting stupid reactions), "Seven minutes in heaven, spin the bottle, the sleeper game, twister, truth or dare, strip poker-" ooc|| Ok, now Spook's next!

Such a gentleman. It's nice to know not all the boys around here are ruffians," said the girl in the chair, her eyes turning back to Danny. The smoldering dislike had faded from her gaze the second she had turned, and it was replaced by a pleasant, albeit slightly impish gleam. Danny smiled earnestly at the stranger, and vaguely wondered how she knew Alex. He remembered something about seeing her in math class, once...but the event simply wouldn't come back to him. It had something to do with helping Alex, that was for sure. Mentally shrugging it off, he turned his attention back to her. "You're too kind," he said, continuing the ridiculously formal air. "I'm afraid that I, too, am one of those ruffians." After a second-long pause, he gave her a grin the match the gleam in her eye. "Though I'm better at it then our friend Alex is."
After exchanging banter with the girl (who was quickly gaining his esteem), his eyes scanned the group quickly. It had grown since his last little glance, and now, he was starting to feel the pressure of too many people at once. Amber had the attention of two boys, one of which seemed to be...hiding behind the other. There was another girl, too, one he hadn't seen around, and a boy with very strange hair. Danny's smile faded a little, and he stepped a little further out of the throng of Alex's friends. It's not that he didn't want to be friendly, he was just starting to get uncomfortable.
"Yo, Alex!"
Suddenly, a new voice broke in from the distant mass of other partygoers, instantly grabbing the raven shifter's attention. In seconds, another arm was draped clumsily around Alex's thin frame, topping the iron grip of the leech. Danny's eyes hardened as he recalled Alexx's petty little challenge, how she moved her scantily clad, carefully preened body even closer to his friend. He suppressed a shudder at the thought of having to go through that himself. It was unpleasant to say the least.
"Hey guys, sorry I'm late. You wouldn't believe what happened to me! See, I was walking down the road minding my own business when out of no where..." the newcomer said, starting up a very long story to explain his absence. Danny's eyebrows shot up into his bangs, then almost immediately lowered when the teen realized what was going on - he was making crap up! Except for the smile, Danny looked extraordinarily irritated at that moment. This tall, confident stranger comes in, violates the already burdened host of the party, then starts lying. The raven-haired teen's demeanor suddenly changed from calm and casual to stiff, and clearly less than pleased. He could tell already that he was not going to like this boy. At all. His attitude was way too overbearing, and he acted self-important to the point it was grating on his nerves. Sheesh, he's almost worse than the harlot throwing herself on Alex, he thought viciously, his mental words already turning toxic. Back in the mind, he understood that he was judging incredibly fast, but he really didn't care at that moment. People. Are. Violating. Alex's. Space.
"So. Games. Any suggestions? After all, the number of people seems to have... grown a little," Caela suddenly broke in, saving Danny from his wickedly poisonous thoughts. Secretly, he was glad that someone else noticed the unexpected increase in their social circle; it made him feel like he wasn't just being paranoid. Immediately, the aggravating new comer jumped on the opportunity to decide the night's activities, as he began rattling off answers with his hand in the air like a lunatic. "Oh! Seven minutes in heaven, spin the bottle, the sleeper game, twister, truth or dare, strip poker-" the list went on and on. Danny merely stared, his eyes filled with disbelief and contempt.
After a few seconds, something dawned on the raven-haired shifter; he had absolutely no idea what one of the things the newcomer had mentioned was. Spin...the bottle? His cold brown eyes blinked, now radiating confusion. He had never heard of spin the bottle. What was the point of the game, besides the obvious? "Hey, um...what's spin the bottle?" he asked the girl in the chair quietly, hoping not to attract unnecessary attention from the overwhelming group.
((OH MY GOD, I'm so sorry for the rampant character hate. ;A; Danny and I don't mean it, I swear!))
EDIT: Rena, you're up!
