The sound of crunching and crackling pervaded the air as Sasha high-stepped his way through the leafy piles that had built up around the sidewalk, each footfall making a loud, satisfying noise. A silly grin was splayed across the the youth's face as he watched the leaves crumble and shift under his feet, his shoes plunging down to the pavement until they were completely engulfed by the vivid autumn colors on the ground. He continued doing this for a good distance, until the leaves began to thin out and his high-step had been reduced to a casual walk.
Finally, Sasha turned his striking blue eyes up to actually look at his surroundings. Behind the sparse fencing next to him were happily chatting couples and content looking individuals, milling around the park area with seasonal ease. Everyone, including the young man himself, was garbed in bright fall colors, ranging from deep browns to vivid yellows and oranges. Sasha beamed at the relaxing sight, and readjusted the strap of his gray messenger bag with pep. He resumed walking, though now jauntily swaying his bag, and even just barely bouncing to convey his new cheerful attitude.
Of course, all of the cheer and pep in the world couldn't have stopped him from tripping over a stick.
The teen's sneakers suddenly caught on a particularly twisted branch that lay hidden in a curious pile of leaves, and the unexpected snare sent the poor boy pitching forward. He whirled his arms awkwardly before finally bringing his hands to the front, just in time to crash into the concrete with a loud, painful smack. He ended up face first into a sparse pile of leaves.
"O-ow..." said Sasha, gritting his teeth as his head spun. He really wasn't expecting the sudden change in altitude. As he pushed himself up, he winced; his hands, which had took the brunt of his fall, were now bruised and scraped and covered in little gravelly bits that were going to be very painful to pick out. Tears began to well up in the corners of Sasha's eyes, but he refused to let them go any further than that. He was NOT going to cry.
Sighing shakily, the tall young man pushed himself up and carefully brushed off his hands. With his luck, everyone in the park probably saw him trip. Great.

OOC//: Lol JOIN TWIN JOIN THEN WE CAN DOUBLE-TEAM MR. PEACE-AND-LOGIC WHO I KEEP WANTING TO CALL SPOOK |D BIC//: Trinell smiled and hummed an upbeat song to herself as she bounced through the park with Andrei bounding along beside her and attacking leaves as they fell. He was in his Shifted form, which was unsurprising seeing as how he felt safer and less noticeable in his Shifted form, especially when he went out with Trinell. Most people noticed a small child walking alongside a teen. Song changing to one of Andrei's favorites, Trinell pulled one side of the headphones down so that it pressed against her neck and, at the same time, reached down and scooped Andrei up by his belly. He flailed for a few moments and mewled loudly in surprise before calming down as he realized it was just Trinell picking him up. He glared at her as she set him down on her shoulder and said, "Oh, relax. It's one of your favorite songs. Didn't you tell me to pick you up whenever your favorite songs came on?" Andrei scowled at her but curled around her neck nonetheless and turned his ears to the headphones, his annoyed red eyes brightening as he began to bob his head in time with the song. It was "Witch Doctor" by Toybox. Looking away from Andrei, Trinell blinked as she saw a tall, tall guy trip and fall, flailing for a moment before crashing into a pile of leaves. A snort of laughter made her bring her hand to her face and she began to jog over to the guy. When she was about ten feet away she called out, "Hey, you okay?" Eight feet, five feet, three feet and Trinell stopped, her music playing still and Andrei staring down at the guy with amused contempt. She held out her hand. "Need a hand?" She asked, her bright emerald eyes full of amusement and kindness. "I'm Trinell, by the way. And this is Andrei. Say hi, Andrei." Andrei glared at her for a second before nodding down at the guy with a quiet meow.

Seated on the rough gravelly concrete of the sidewalk, Sasha sighed glumly. From a quick surveillance, he could tell that a few people had seen him. Most of them snickered at his unfortunate accident, while a select few gave him concerned or sympathetic glances before strolling away. Even so, the young man was grateful that it hadn't been worse; there wasn't a big huge spectacle, and he hadn't really gotten that hurt. The only real problem his fall had caused was the fact his hands were now a stinging mess. Sasha vaguely begun to wonder how much it would hurt to push himself up from the ground when someone spoke behind him.
"Need a hand?"
Sasha was so startled by the unexpected voice that he nearly fell over again. He spun around wildly and kicked himself off the ground, bright eyes wide with alarm. He stared dumbly at the girl behind him before he finally blinked, straightened up, then gave her a sheepish smile. His long, pale fingers nervously fidgeted with straightening the edge of his jacket, and with pulling the leaves out of his hair. Clearly, he was nervous.
"N-n-n-no, I-I'm g-g-good," the young man stuttered, sounding extremely embarrassed. His clumsy speech impediment was far worse than normal, and the sudden panic he had suddenly experienced wasn't helping in the slightest. He felt a twinge of shame for his awkwardness, and directed his eyes away from the girl standing in front of him. The entire situation was going downhill, the pessimistic side of him assumed.
"I'm Trinell, by the way," the girl continued, her tone betraying no sign of mockery. Sasha turned his eyes back up to her, slightly surprised that she wasn't making fun of him. "And this is Andrei. Say hi, Andrei." The young man then saw the previously unnoticed kitten that sat on the girl's shoulder, and could have laughed at the dirty look it was giving her. It turned its head towards Sasha and gave a small, quiet meow. It seemed strangely serious. Sasha raised a hand and jokingly gave the feline a short, friendly wave. "H-hello," he said with a smile.

Trinell blinked in surprise as the guy flailed and leapt to his feet, looking extremely surprised and somewhat frightened. "N-n-n-no, I-I'm g-g-good," He said in reply to Trinell's offer for help. Nodding, Trinell smiled at him.
"H-hello," he said shyly to Andrei, waving his hand with a soft smile. Trinell's smile grew into a grin and she reached up and patted Andrei's head.
"By the way, you are?" Asked Trinell politely, curious as to who she was talking to. He had to have a name, didn't he? Unless he was an amnesiac he should, her common sense told her. She ignored her subconscious.
She blinked, however, as she heard the loud rustling sound of someone stopping very suddenly. "Oh jeez I'm sorry."
Huh? Looking over her shoulder, she was surprised to see a girl standing there, looking sheepish. Oh. Maybethey'd almost had a collision. Trinell almost laughed at that, thinking about how her reflexes probably would have made her do some really intricate movement to save her butt.
"... Sorry again." The girl paused and Trinell smiled at her, dismissing her apologies passively. "Say, I hate to interrupt, but are you okay?" She added, Trinell blinking and turning back tothe guy. Oh, right. She'd asked his name, too.

After the small exchange with the kitten on Trinell's shoulder, Sasha had calmed down considerably. The embarrassment from the fall had already begun to fade, along with the painful sting of his scrapes. Trinell certainly seemed friendly, and Sasha was starting to enjoy talking to her. This was the first real chance he had had at making friends with other Shelpey residents.
"By the way, who are you?" Trinell asked, making Sasha suddenly realize that he hadn't introduced himself yet. He mentally face-palmed; it was extremely rude for him to forget. "I-I'm Sasha," he said with a sheepish smile, hoping that Trinell wasn't angry at him.
"Oh jeez I'm sorry."
Sasha jumped a little, once again surprised by an unexpected voice and the scuffle of leaves. Behind Trinell was another young lady, stopped short a little ways away from them. She blinked her eyes in surprise for a few seconds, then glanced between the small group. "...Sorry again," said the girl, her eyes trailing to their surroundings. Sasha followed her gaze, noticing for the first time that they were being stared at. His face was immediately stained a light pink, and he looked away.
""Say, I hate to interrupt, but are you okay?" asked the newcomer, her head tilting to the side. She was probably wondering about Sasha's fall. The tallest of the group merely gave them an awkward smile. "Y-y-yeah, I'm f-fine," he managed to stutter out.
