Name: Reed Lyot
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Orientation: Straight
Guild: Assassins
Shapeshift Form: fox
Appearance:
Reed is just above average for his age, standing at about 5 foot, 10 inches. He's rather average so to speak. He's not overly skinny, but in no way would anyone describe him as remotely chubby. He has long legs which are scattered with short, wispy black hairs as with his arms. He is rather strong for a boy his age though. Why not? He needs the strength and speed for his work. His face is... hard though, not like a child. His face is thin while his nose is flat. He has thin, pale lips, and cold, brown eyes. His hair is a murky black like a clouded shadow. Usually it is spiked up in a messy manner, like black fire. The only thing really noticeable about him that people remember are the large scars that run across his right ear. Generally it's not well seen, but the tips of the scars reach to his cheek, out in the view.

Just as his human form, Reed is just like any other Culpeo Fox, the second largest native canine in South America next to the Maned Wolf. However, as the name states, he looks more like a fox than a wolf, more so toward the red fox. His fur is short and fairly soft to the surprise of some people. It has an orange color, almost looking sun burnt. His fur has a nice dark gray to black overlay. His underbelly along with his chin and chest, are a light tan, almost white color. His ears seem unnaturally (actually it's rather natural) soft compared to the rest of his fur. A very faint black stripe can barely be seen running down his spine, while his tail seems like it was dipped in paint.
His nose is a soft black, almost wet. His ears are small and triangular while soft white fur sticking out of them to protect from nasty parasites. His eyes are narrowed with gleaming orange-tinted eyes (but they're brown). He has small, black whiskers on his muzzle which is tinted white along with his chin. His muzzle is short with a round head, almost canine-like rather than fox-like. Though his body is more slender and skinny than a wolf nature. His paws are... fairly average, not big like a wolf, but not small like a fox—in between. His tongue is a light pink while his canines are actually very sharp and white, larger than the rest of his teeth.[/blockquote]Personality:

Reed is quiet a problematic child. As interesting as it is, Reed has a dual personality. To summon this up: He has a split personality. It's almost like there are two of him, only both sides of him have a different personality. Reed is a rather happy character, child-like, while Lyot is more unemotional and silent.History:
Now introducing Reed... He's quite a happy character, almost carefree. Generally he sees the good side of things like... candy for instance. He likes to keep things clean too, he likes organization. It means less change to him, to which he fears secretly. Change is not something he likes and from his experience, it never is really good. Anyway, Reed takes pretty well to anyone. He's willing to help people if he can. He's not really one to brag, but he will show off sometimes, if he thinks no one is watching of course. All in all, he's a happy person. He's not a person to be burdened by things and looks to the present and future. Next to that of course, he's fairly smart and good with tactics, but he lacks the experience to do so.
As for Lyot. Well. You could say he's the counter opposite, as they are two halves of a person yes? Lyot, well, you can't say he isn't happy. He's simply... emotionless. Unlike Reed, Lyot is burdened by the past to which Reed can't remember. He keeps his emotions hidden in the deepest depths of his mind, places not even Reed can reach even though they are the same person. Although younger, Lyot acts older and just as smart as Reed considering... yet again, they share the same experience, in a way. He's not a leader, but he's not a follower really. He won't follow all orders and sometimes can be kind of reckless due to his own curiosity or will. He doesn't really take things necessary either and will tend to zone out on many occasions. However, oddly enough, without the burden of their past, the two have the luck of the devil.
Reed's history is something he'd rather not share, understandably of course. However, we'll start of easy. Reed was born in Manchester, England. He had an older brother at the time, to whom he can't remember (his name was Pierce, who was 7—says Lyot). His mother and father are a blur (Elaine, 39 and Jason, 41), but he knows they were kind people, interesting people. He lived in a nice two story house and generally got along great with his brother (and short-haired German Pointer named Douglas). Soon enough his father (Jason!) had received a great promotion in the United States (when Reed was 12).Sample: Other:
It was then, the family had to move (and it was then, I was born). It was on Christmas they decided to move. Why not move to a new home on a perfect, family holiday? It would be a memory to last (it certainly would). Unfortunately, they had chose a bad day. A blizzard had blown in (and why no one knew this I'll never know) and the turbines had frozen in the high altitude. That day, the plane had crashed. Very few survivors.
However, Reed would have died that day from the cold, had it not been for his shifting powers. Unknowingly, Reed had shifted after the crash and had managed to keep himself warm, not even taking notice of the fact that no sound came to his ears. At first, the rescuers had tried to capture him, but in panic, he had ended up running away into a conveniently placed forest. It was here he finally gathered his thoughts, and it was here that Lyot was born.
So soon after the accident and in panic, Reed in denial (except maybe the whole deaf deal), had pushed all his dark thoughts in the back of his head. He didn't want to think his parents were dead or his brother (or his dog), or that he couldn't hear. They were all the comfort he had. Now. His mother was dead, his father was dead, his brother was dead (his dog was dead), he was deaf, and now he was some... freak! However, these thoughts that were pushed into the back of his consciousness, created Lyot.
Lyot was born out of the memories of Reed, thus the reason he can't remember his past (bastard, but I can still hear). It is this reason that their personalities are so different yet so alike. They are the same person, created from the same body, only their experiences make them different. Lyot, burdened by death and the past, shields Reed from his memories so he can stay happy (no that's not it!), though he'll never admit it (damn straight). After all, they are the same person.
Oddly enough, although Lyot is younger, he acts older since Reed can't remember his past—he doesn't remember his experiences. So due to his experience, reason, and the fact that only Lyot can hear (cause I was born after the accident), Lyot is generally the one in charge. Most people think they are talking to Reed, but really it is Lyot behind it all—most of the time. Lyot, in all his expertise, lead them to the closest town—which just happened to be Shelpey Alley. It was here that the two found out about the guilds, what a coincidence. Lyot, in all his reason to find a way to get money, decided to join the Assassins guild, much to the displeasure of Reed. Using this method of money, the two found a way to live in a small apartment in Shelpey Alley, though carefully avoiding suspicion.
