Djakael shrugged, not fazed by Lynn's question. Trinell had asked it back then and it hadn't bothered him then. It still didn't bother him now. "I knew a little too much for comfort and they didn't want any loose ends." He said wth a wink. "Lucky for me, Trinell heard the fight and came to my rescue. I've followed her like a lost puppy dog since," He laughed, joking about the last part.
"More like a lost kit, if you ask me!" Muttered Trinell, grinning at Djakael cheekily. Djakael stuck his tongue out again. "Oh, you know it's true Dj! You practically begged me to teach you how to fight for forever after I helped you!" Djakael, knowing he had lost that one, pouted and moved to sit next to Lynn.
"Meanie! I'm gonna sit next oher 'cause she's nice and you're not." He mumbled childishly, pouting still. Then he burst into a grin, laughing. He calmed himself just enough to be able to say, "And that is how you deal with that wolf there, Lynn. Easy, no?" He laughed again.

"What wolf?" Lynn chose her words carefully, eyeing Djakael. Unable to proccess the words that the two had exchanged, "More like a lost kit," ... Are they shifters? They were careless around her, but Lynn still held her secret close to heart.
"She looks more like a poodle to me," She looked at Trinell, head tilting as she laughed. Lynn was still curious about the subject they had talked about moments prior, and to her annoyance Djakael had never specified who they were. If he wanted to tell me he would have. In attempt to put her mind to rest, she continued to laugh quietly at Djakael.
"Do you guys practice often? This is my first time coming around here." She removed her hand from the sand to scratch her lower back, then returned her gaze to Djakael.

"Heey! Don't ruin my image! He doesn't know that I'm a poodle; I told him I'm a wolf!" Laughed Trinell, Djakael blinking in a mock-surprise. "Really, now? That explains the hair!" He ducked a kick from Trinell, laughing.
"Well, I wouldn't say we practice often, seeing as how we're both usually busy doing one thing or another, but we do practice enough so that neither of us get rusty." Said Trinell, calming down now. Really, they had lessons at least three or four times a month. Trinell could have lessons every day, but Djakael couldn't do that so she had to work around his schedule. After all, he was the one in college. She was the homeless thief who had nothing better to do with her time. "Actually, I should rephrase that. Djakael is always busy. I have no life, and so I have all the time in the world." She clarified, nodding.
"It's true. I'm a busy bee. I curse college for taking away my freedom!" He sighed, chuckling. "Naw, it's fun. I'm actually on a sort of vacation right now. I'm in college to be an artist and I'm ahead of the rest of my fellow college-goers, so I figured I'd take a break for the last half of the year while everyone catches up and chill." He explained, smiling.
"Don't think he's old, though! He hates that. He's only 19, the crazy fool." Said Trinell, Djakael nodding sharply.
"Yes, please listen to her on this. I hate when people assume that, because I'm in my second year of college, I must be 21 or something. No, I just have no life so I use all my time to study and get ahead! Losers," He ranted, pouting. Then he shook his head, chuckling, and fell back onto his back, his hands behind his head. "Oh well. I'll survive," He grinned, chuckling.

"My schedule is pretty light too, and having no life makes it all the more enjoyable." She responded to Trinell, chuckling. She yawned, regretting how she had been out too late the previous night. But then again, she felt tired the majority of the time anyways.
"I doubt college would be an obstical for such a smart kit." She stuck her tongue out at Djakael, grinning as she reached her hand over to ruffle his hair. "I'm a bit of an aspiring artist myself."
"It's sooo perfect out, I could just fall asleep right here." As she leaned back she braced herself with her arms behind her, sitting as Djakael had before. Her eyes fluttered close, blocking the sun. She was begining to feel oddly out of place again, maybe she should leave them to practice again?

Djakael grinned from ear to ear as Lynn called him a smart kid. Laughing, he said, "That's right. Keep stroking my ego," and grinned at her. She ruffled his hair with a grin, making Djakael chuckle. "Really? That's great! What's your favorite medium? I can't really chose, but I do love to paint and sketch the most." He said, excited. "Man, I wish I had brought my sketchbook this time! Trinell, you should have told me to bring my sketchbook this time!" He whined, Trinell laughing.
"Sorry, Dj. I didn't know we'd be running into another artist or Iwould have told you!" She laughed, Djakael sighing.
"Awww, man!" He muttered, slightly less energetic. Then he shook his head, snapping out of it. "Oh well. But yeah! Your favorite medium?" He asked again, having missed anything she may have said while he was ranting.

"I'm sort of enjoying water colours, but I love sketching too." Her eyes snapped open, "I doubt I'm as good as you are. It's just a hobby for me." She brushed her bangs away from her eyes with a flick from her hand. "Do you two live around here?"
"OoOo, you'll have show me that sketchbook sometime. Sheesh Trinell, why didn't you tell him to bring it?" Lynn smirked, sitting up as she rolled her eyes dramatically. "What kind of things do you draw? And you two need to show me some of those moves you were using" She attempted to mimic a headlock on an invisible victim, laughing at herself.

"Mmm, water colors. I miss those," Djakael sighed blissfully, remembering his times using water colors. "You don't know that," He said immediately after she told of her doubt. "For all you know, you could ten times better than me. Show some confidence in your skills." He added seriously, his tone light.
It was true. He wanted her to show confidence and pride in her skills, just not so much that it gave her a big head. He had seen several artists without much skill get big heads because someone with an untrained eye told them it was amazing. 'They do say the best artists are the ones who are the toughest critics on their artwork.' He thought calmly.
He had also seen several, several with boundless talent undermine their skill because they didn't let those with no eye for arts praise get to their head. That was constantly coupled with a strong self-criticism.
"Well, I live in an apartment that's not too far from the neighborhood and Trinell... Well, she... lives on her own, I guess you could say." Said Djakael, pausing the try and figure out how to word Trinell's living conditions without it sounding too bad. He opened his mouth to further explain, but Trinell beat him to it.
"I'm homeless, is what he's trying to say. Don't try to sugarcoat it, Dj. After all, it's the same thing in the end. I have a pretty well-cared for little shack not too far from here that I live in. I'm a thief for a living, seeing as how there's no one who will hire a homeless, high-school-diploma-less, guardian-less teenager despite how clean and well-cared for she is. Hypocritical jackasses." She explained. "I'm not the loser kind of thief, though. I only take the bare necessities. You know, food, clothes, drinks, stuff like that. And I never do anything while anyone is there. There's no reason to scare them needlessly like that." She added, trying to make sure Lynn understood that she really wasn't a bad person, despite the way she lived.
Djakael said nothing for a moment, allowing time for Trinell's words to sink in, before saying, "Anyways! On a lighter note, I will definitely show you my sketchbook next time I see you." He grinned at Lynn. ""As for what I draw... Well, I draw everything, basically. I really like to draw animals and people, though. I've got several portraits I've done of people in my home. Trinell is one of my main subjects, though." He smirked, winking. "She hates having her picture taken, but she has absolutely no problem with standing in one position for hours while I paint her. Crazy chick," He said, his voice laced with affection. Trinell was like a dear little sister to him and he wasn't afraid to admit it. He cared for her more than he did his actual blood sister, Lacuna. 'Speaking of which, her birthday is coming up. I need to get something for her... Maybe I'll paint her a picture?' He thought, letting it go after a moment.
"But yeah! Maybe Trinell will adopt another student and teach you?" He said, staring straight at Trinell as he spoke. Trinell scoffed, rolling her eyes, and crossed her arms over her chest before laughing and nodding.
"Really, it's up to you. If you want to learn Sambo Jiu Jutsu, then just let me know and I'll teach you until you decide you don't want to do it anymore." She said, a content look on her face. She didn't mind another student, not at all! Far from it, actually. She loved being able to spread her knowledge and teach people how to defend themselves on and off the streets. She loved being able to give people the piece of mind to know that they could save themselves if they needed to. She wanted to, one day, open her own Dojo and teach her students all she knew. It was her dream and goal in life.

Although she still felt that Djakael's artwork would greatly surpass her own she remained quiet, allowing his words to at least soak. She did take great care in her paintings, it was something she cherished. The gentle concentration and creativity was something she rarely gave as of late. Lynn mumbled something with an undertone of agreement. “I have a few that I think you would like, I should show you them sometime.” The truth was that she rarely showed anyone her paintings; mostly they just hung in odd corners around her new home.
She listened intently to Djakael’s explanation of their accommodations. “Homeless?” Lynn’s first thought was to offer Trinell a place in her home, but she quickly remembered it wasn’t hers to offer, so she bit her tongue. I must be crazy for even thinking of offering a stranger a room in my home anyways. Lynn’s face cringed into a frown.
“A thief? I hate to say this, but man, that sounds pretty damn cool.” Lynn laughed, but her eyes stayed serious. She twinged with envy, wishing that she could live on her own, but at the same time she realised how tough it would be. “I live somewhere in the neighbourhood, I still have trouble finding it sometimes. I just moved here about a week ago.” She let out a loose shrug, her smile welcoming. She was living with her grandfather, due to her mother’s recent death.
“I’m pretty good at drawing animals, and I’ve started experimenting with people. But half the people I draw usually turn out looking like animals...” Her eyes crinkled as she grinned. “I normally draw landscapes, at least with watercolours.” She laughed once as he finished the words crazy chick, “I think I’d go crazy trying to stand still for even twenty minutes.”
“Teach... me? I don’t know if I would make a good student, but if you’re up for the challenge I’d love to.” Lynn followed Djakael’s eyes to Trinell, and then returned her nod happily. She felt selfish for deciding against offering Trinell a place in her home previously. “When can I start?”

"You can start now if you'd like. Really, it depends on when you want to start it. Although, I do have a few conditions. Once you start, you have to do it at least twice a month so that I can make sure you don't forget or anything. And, since Dj made me promise to do this one, during "class" youre supposed to call me Sensei. Those are my only conditions for once you start." Said Trinell, a pleasant smile on her face. She adored getting another student just as much as she had adored getting her first student. "There's no such thing as a bad student, Lynn. Only a bad teacher." She said, a gentle smile on her lips. "At least, that's what I believe if the student gives all they've got." Her smile never left her face, and it never fell from her eyes.
Djakael thought quietly about what Lynn had said she drew, allowing for the two girls to speak. It was nice to be able to talk about art with someone who wasn't as closed-minded as the rest of his classmates.
He thought about how he had once painted Trinell in both her human and Shifted forms when Lynn spoke about her experiences drawing humans. He chuckled lightly at her problem, amused. He'd had a similar problem when he first started sketching people. The only difference is that he gave them animalistic characteristics rather than turning them into animals. It had taken him a couple of years to get out of that phase. 'Those were fun years though,' he thought, a small smile pulling the corners of his lips up slightly.

Lynn nodded as Trinell explained her rules. Twice a month sounds easy enough, there’s plenty of time to fit it in. She wasn’t sure where she stood on the “sensei” rule, the thought of calling someone it seemed odd to her, but she would try her best to remember, and after all Djakael seemed to have enough fun calling her it, perhaps it would grow on her. Lynn swallowed a lump in her throat as Trinnel explained how she expected one hundred percent; her conscience became clouded with self doubt, what if her effort wasn’t enough to satisfy? She tried to shake the unpleasant thought.
Unease showed in her smile, but she was sure this was something she wanted. It gave her another excuse to leave the house, and she had been craving adventure lately. Her awareness of Djakael had all but vanished, as he had been silent. “I’m ready to start when you are, Tri-- Sensei.” She grinned, stumbling the last word off her tongue. "Should I bow too?" She dipped her head slightly in a teasing bow.
