Amber laughed at her friend's expense. "What do you take me for? A 5 year old?" When her moment was over she continued, "Of course I know how to take care of a wound. You just hurry and find some food." She added the last part without humor this time. it was time to get serious so Amber turned to the fox and kindly asked, "Do you think you need anything else?" Without waiting for an answer, she declared, "First we need to find some shelter. I can take you to this place where you can get cared for."
Of course this place was safe; it was her own. Amber knew that her family wouldn't mind, and who would turn away a helpless animal in the first place? A lot of people, she thought bitterly. Shaking off the thought she eyed the wolf a few steps in front of her, "Meet us at my place OK?" Scooting close behind Trinell, she winked so the vixen couldn't see. Hopefully she would know where to go.
She rattled her mind for anything they mind have forgotten. Food, check. Shelter, check. Water, check. Wound? Nearly there. Amber quietly purred to reassure herself. When she was confident that everything was taken cared of, she shuffled her paws in anticipation to wait and see if anyone had anything else to say.

Taavi sighed, still feeling bad for faking complete helplessness. It wasn't so bad fooling humans, especially since if they knew what she really was, they'd lock her up and throw away the key. But tricking her own kind seemed wrong. Maybe she'd let them know...later. Taavi nodded her bye to Trinell. She turned to look at Amber as she spoke.
"No, you've already done so much. I couldn't possibly ask for more."

Amber snorted at her comment, "Please, anyone in trouble deserves the best care they can get." Though this was true, Amber knew she probably didn't need anything else. Everything was at the restaurant; food, water, shelter... Amber couldn't think of anythign else a fox might need. That is, unless she's a shifter. Amber thought curiously, if she was... she might need clothes. Amber glanced at her "patient" she didn't seem like a Shifter; and she's acting like an animal.
Her expression really didn't give away anything but guild, and that might just be because she thinks she's asking for too much. Maybe we're offering too much. I know I certainly wouldn't want to be offered too much, but all they were giving the canine was nutrition and shelter for however long she needed it. Amber lifted her leg to lead the way, but she hesitated. What if she didn't like crowded areas? We'd have to pass through the main room to get to the offices in the back. Maybe the fox wouldn't mind, but the customers would defintally mind about a hurt animal.
We could go the back way, but then I'd need to get someone out there to open it from the inside... maybe she could find someone else's place? One of her friends... no it wouldn't work. She didn't want to move too far; and her place was the closest there was. In the end she decided to just walk past the people. It would be easier, quicker, and a more direct route. She realized she had kept the fox waiting longer than necessary and twisted her head to face the vixen. Amber mumbled a sorry and mentioned, "If you don't, there will be a lot of people we'll be passing; but after that it gets a lot quieter." She added the end to assure Taavi that the trip was well worth it.

Trinell chuckled as Amber answered her questions with a indignant retort, perfectly sarcastic. It put her foolish worry at ease and, with an exuberant bow, she whirled around on her hind paws and took off for the woods. She was already searching out Scouts.
It didn't take her long to find one, a sleek-feathered crow.
Stopping beside the tree it was perched on, she inclined her head in greeting as she sat, saying, "Can you help me find something suitable for a fox to eat? Another member and myself have found a fox that needs urgent attention sooo yeah. Help, please?" The crow stared at her for a moment then nodded, cawing, and took to the skies. Trinell followed its path as it led her deeper into the woods, the crow dipping down and catching a plump rabbit as soon as it spotted it.
With a smile, Trinell bowed to the crow and took the rabbit, saying, "Thank you kindly!" around the mouthful. The crow nodded and Trinell turned, loping back the way she had come. She ran in silence for a few minutes before stopping suddenly and setting the rabbit down at her paws.
Shifting suddenly, she lifted her arm with her iPod and turned it on. Setting it on all songs, she pressed play and nodded to herself, smirking as "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" by The Offspring. Shifting back to her wolf form, she scooped up the rabbit again and headed off for where Amber, herself, and Taavi had been at an easy lope.
When she reached the area, they were already gone, not that it surprised Trinell. Setting the rabbit down once more, she sniffed for Amber's scent and nodded to herself as she found it. She picked the rabbit carefully up and followed after them, knowing they were well ahead. Probably already wherever Amber intended to take the vixen. 'Well, I haven't done this in a while,' She thought amusedly, referring to tracking someone with another strong scent directly under her nose. It was quite distracting, really.

"I guess..."
Taavi said uncertainly. She still didn't feel good about this whole 'keeping her shifting secret' but she felt more uncomfortable around others when she was human. Even when she was an animal she was still very fearful. She waited patiently, wondering why they hadn't left yet. Suddenly she realized that Amber was speaking to her, and she perked her ears forwards to listen.
"I suppose I don't mind the humans. But won't they get weirded out if a cat and a fox come walking in big as life?"
Taavi paused, pulling her thoughts together. The loss of blood was starting to make her light headed. She glanced down at the little cut, and then lifted it up against her matted bodice. "It would be better if a human came in carrying a fox."
The slender femme watched Amber carefully for signs of shock or knowledge.
"I saw what the human girl did earlier. Can...can you turn human too?"

Amber watched her carefully, waiting patiently until she finally murmured, "It would be better if a human came in carrying a fox." Sighing Amber flicked her ear. She knew she would notice eventually. It wouldn't be that bad, I mean; it could be a small matter of life and death. It's these little things that people miss. One small decision could be the relief of someone or it could be the death. Amber kept her expression neutral as she continued, "I saw what the human girl did earlier. Can... can you turn human too?" She asked innocently.
Amber caught her gazed and watched her carefully. She didn't look too surprised when Trinell shifted forms... could she possibly be a shifter herself? The odds weren't high, but Amber wouldn't be surprised if she were. Shaking the thought out of her head, she cleverly avoided the question, "Nah it's OK. My family owns the place, animals come in and out all the time." Maybe she noticed that I said family? No, Amber reassured herself. She had heard many pets call their owners family; and to them they were their family. As their conversation came to a pause, Amber began heading out to the direction of the restaurant.
-ON THE WAY;TIME SKIP-
When they finally reached the restaurant. Amber quietly led her behind a corner right across the street; ready to dash in whenever they were ready. The front of the eating place was large and was held up by carefully carved wood. The double-doors were wide open and inviting. Inside you could see a silky red carpet lying smoothly on the ground leading the way toward the back. Why it was there, only the owners would know, but as long as it was a good place to eat; it was all good.
Even from across the crowded street you could faintly hear all the chattering from the inside. There were a few barks, but nobody paid any attention. In fact, some people fed the dogs that barked and the meowing cats. People and animals alike knew that pets were a loud in there. Some strays even dropped by in from time to time. Amber swiveled toward her own 'customer' and informed her. "The restaurant is right over there," she paused to briefly lean her head in the general direction and then offered, "We can go in when you're ready."

A muffled “Yes,” emerged from under Djakael’s leg. She was still a bit finicky, but she was fine. While she was a ferret she often found herself fighting the urge to scurry about, but she was finally giving way, if only a little. Thoughts of a discoloured fox danced in Lynn’s head, she couldn’t help but try and picture how Djakael would look. Maybe he’s green or something. Her tiny rib cage shook for a moment as she laughed.
Using her back legs, she crawled further under Djakael, and then surfaced on the other side of his leg. “Maybe I should go home. I need to grab some food.” Lynn didn’t look at him as she spoke, she could always find them again some other time. And I could really use a nap. She breathed steadily, emphasising her exhale.

Taavi's orbs carefully watched Amber as she asked her questions. Amber's sigh told her nothing. Did she sigh because she didn't want to find out? Or did she sigh because she thought Taavi had an overactive imagination - to say the least. As soon as Amber turned away, her orbs narrowed with frustration. It wasn't going to make it any easier for Taavi to confess to being a shifter if Amber wouldn't. Amber's evasive answer, and her reference made Taavi 80% sure that she was a shifter. It was only a matter of time until she found out for sure, especially if she was going to Amber's home.
Taavi's intelligent orbs cautiously surveyed the area around the restaurant. There were quite a lot of people and their pets, and strays in this general area. She turned her eyes towards the large and open doors. She suddenly realized why it would be so easy to sneak in. With the doors left wide open, anyone could get in. Then she turned her attention to what was actually inside. She could barely see the outlines of several canines and felines. Not to mention she could hear and smell them as well. Her jaw dropped.
"We're....are allowed in there?"
She exclaimed, almost forgetting to speak animal. Taavi swallowed her surprise, masking the surprise. She a sharp nod, she indicated that she was ready. She lifted her injured paw up and ran three-legged across the street, just like she had done all the way to the restaurant. It only slowed her down slightly.
Once inside, she eagerly turned her head in all directions. It was so confusing! She hadn't been in a busy place like this for some time. Her sensitive nose took in all the good smelling foods, and snarled for all it was worth. As some eyes turned towards her, she suddenly felt self conscious, and scampered after Amber as she moved towards the back.
((I'm making an assumption here that Amber is going to quickly take her to the back. If I'm off with my assumption, just have Taavi stand there. ^^)) [/blockquote]

Amber was guienly surprised when the fox suddenly bolted past her as fast as she could on three legs. Amber raced to catch up and followed beside her at an even pace. When they reached the other side they slowed to a comfortable walk. Amber watched out of the corner of her eye as Taavi glanced in all directions. A sudden snarl burst from her throat, but she obviously regretted it as soon as some people glanced at her in surprise. Once they spotted Amber's familiar coat though, the soon turned back. Taavi should be thankful that I'm in here otherwise she probably wouldn't have gotten away with her little stunt.
Amber moved along towards the back, knowing that she would follow soon enough. Amber followed the bright carpet as it led the way towards the steamy kitchen. Just when they were about to enter, Amber suddenly stopped. She peeked her head around the corner to see if anyone was looking. No one was. She turned back towards the fox and asked, "I hope you don't mind fish or steak." She purred. Earlier in the restaurant days she told the chef's to feed Amber fish or steak, no cat food. It was revolting.
