“And I wouldn’t think you have, seeing as this would be my first full day here, mom left me here last night.”
"Left you? Just, out of nowhere? That would suck. My mom would have a heart attack if I was gone for more than a day without callin' her." Kitten said, surprised that someone's mother could do that. Where was that bond that all kids had with their parents? Well, she had to have some reason for it. Besides, he could take care of himself... right?
“But what’s this about gangs of shifters, why?”
"Huh? Oh. Well, there's the Assassins and the Thieves. I'm joining Thieves. I don't know much about the gangs, but from what I hear, Thieves is the kinder of the two. There's this huge fight between the two of them, because apparently one of the Assassins killed Amber, the second in Thieves. Yeah. Typical gang stuff. No real reason for them, I guess it's just animal instincts to group together with others of your kind." Kitten explained, shifting around and the finally crossing her arms on her ribs, tired of her head cutting off their circulation.
"No permanent damage, but I'll keep an eye out for these things from now on. Damn things will sneak up on a fella. Trust you two will learn from my concussion?"
"I find it hard to miss trees, but if I ever walk into the forest at night, I'll keep my eyes open, that's for sure." Kitten chuckled, trying to keep from giving anything away.
Are you okay? What were you doing in the sky? Are you a shifter too?”
If she'd have been a cat, her fur would've bristled with that comment. Of course, if that guy had been in the tree since Kitten and Kyrian got there he already knew everything, but still- that was one of those risks Kitten didn't like taking.
"Uh, hey, Kyrian, listen. The other people really don't know about Shifters yet, so it's better if you're careful with who you talk to about 'em. Animals are fine, since people and animals normally can't interact. But still, careful who you talk to about being a shifter, okay?" Kitten whispered, watching Dean as she did.
"What do you mean "Shifter"?
"It's nothing, if you don't understand then you won't get it if we explained it. Ehehe..." Kitten said hastily, chuckling in good effort to keep things away from Dean. If he wasn't a shifter... Kitten wasn't going to take that chance. She couldn't smell anything with the onslaught of rain, so it was nearly impossible to tell in the first place.

He shrugged nonchalantly as if it didn’t bother him, and really it didn’t all too much. “She wants to live out her own life, told me to get a move on with mine, start to live out my own life” He chuffed, but in annoyance this time. He had been living his own life, the real reason was that apparently she just didn’t want him in hers anymore. Selfish ungrateful bitch, well she had her wish. His thoughts always became darker and his mood usually always went bad at the mention of his mother or his past with her, even the slightest thing could trigger it. And then his thoughts spiraled out of control until he was a fuming seething pissed off teen, the consequences not good. He listened intently when she went into the whole gang/guild thing, a mixture of emotions playing across his features; confusion, curiosity and mischief the dominant ones.
She shifted her position again and Kyrian forced his gaze not to drift or be distracted, pale blue eyes staying on hers. Was she intentionally doing this? Testing him maybe? Nah, now he was just being ridiculous. He stayed silent in though over what she had divulged, should he join a guild? He liked staying neutral, ehhs.
“Kyrian.” He replied, taking the others offered hand in an introductory shake. He chuckled at their exchange, feeling at ease now around their new arrival. “Yeah I’ve had my own run-ins with ninja trees.” He chuckled again, remembering the time he and a couple of his friends had climbed the roof of one of their houses, a trampoline below and with a huge Pecan Tree nearby, its limbs stretching over the roof and shading the trampoline as well. They had been a good 15 feet high, and Ky being the kind of guy he was, was the first to jump. One of the guys threw an empty soda can right when he was about to jump, making him trip on the gutter rail thing. What he thought to be the clear path to the trampoline was now a rather hazardous fall. He fell through its branches, leaves and smaller branches whipping against his skin. He landed on one of the thicker branches, knocking the air out of him, the limb connecting painfully with his abdomen and making him hang. After a few strong curses and muttering about ninja branches he slipped down and landed on the trampoline. Once he finally recovered himself he was hell bent on beating the crap out of the guy who made all of that happen.
An uneasy silence passed between the trio when Kyrian mentioned “shifter”. He wanted to face palm himself for his foolishness, but instead his smile faded and his shoulders slumped. He turned back to Kitten, expression serious. He gave her a nod. He shoved his hands in the front pockets of his black cargo shorts, turning back to Dean as he spoke.
“Um nothing I guess. A slip of the tongue, ya know people around here use the term to describe Native Shelpians.” He gave a shrug, the lies flowing smoothly off his lips. And honestly it wasn’t a whole lie, just a partial truth. “What I meant was you new around here Dean?” He said trying to ease the tension, his grin returning.

(Is it okay if i jump in here? Bored and have no clue where else to post at the moment.)
She flapped her wings a few times to gain some more lift into the air, trying to stay leveled out as high as she could so no one would notice her, although she didn't have to try hard since the rain helped to cover her presence. In her claws was a moderate sized bag filled with fruits and berries.
'I hope they like the food I got them tonight, I even bought strawberries for the young ones.' She thought to herself as she began to descend towards the reserve. She promised the bats she would meet them here tonight. After flying around for a few moments, she spotted a good place to hide and shift back in some bushes a little ways in to the reserve.
As she neared the ground, she began to shift back to human form about a foot off the ground. As she neared complete shift, she fell to her feet, the bag held tightly in her hand. She was completely back to human form now, her blond hair still let down from her visit to the graveyard earlier but she had changed her dress out for a plain t-shirt and some jeans.
The rain was causing her hair to stick to her face, annoying her a tad bit as she continuously had to keep pulling it out of her face. She made her way out of the bushes, brushing any leaves or twigs that got stuck on her pants afterwards. She looked around and didn't see anyone in the immediate area, nor any of her bat friends, so she just began to walk forward further into the reserve. She would run across them eventually.

Dean wasn't fooled, they either were, or they knew about Shifters. Dean had never met another before, and had never trusted anyone enough to tell about it. Let alone have a discussion about it. He couldnt help but curse his sloppyness.
All of this time and in five seconds you almost give yourself away. Great job dip-shit.
But Dean still had a conversation to continue apparently. "Yeeeeah", He said cautiously, "Got in a couple hours ago. There's a lot here for such a small town." Dean couldn't help but want to shift right here, right now and just fly away. the only thing he hated more than someone he didn't trust finding out about him were social situations.
Yippee.

Sephira stopped in her tracks, her sensitive ears picking up the sounds of other people's voices. She usually tries to avoid confronting people, but it only sounded like three people nearby.
She continued walking on until she came upon the three. Waiting for a moment in between conversations, she made her move, "Um, excuse me. Have any of you, by chance, seen any bats around here? I'm looking for them." Her voice was small, but firm as she doesn't talk much with strangers.
(Sorry it's so short, not much else I can do at this point. ._.)

Great. MORE people.
But at the arrival of the newcomer, Dean actually felt a little at ease. She looked like just a regular person communing with nature. Granted, most "regular" people didn't commune with nature, but that was beside the point. Dean might actually be able to talk with someone and *gasp* maybe make a friend. Not to mention that she might give him a good excuse to get out of this exceedingly awkward and suspicious conversation.
Plus, she was cute and Dean couldn't help himself when it came to assisting a member of the opposite sex.
"I'm not sure but if I'd guess I'd say they would be somewere out of the storm. The lightening is getting pretty intense. The bat's would be smart to stay out of it." Unlike some people we know, thought Dean bitterly.
"I'd be more than willing to help you look", he said with a smile.

Sephira turned her attention to Dean as he answered her question. "That would be great, thank you." She replied back, relief flooding over her like a wave. Another thing she didn't like was being alone in a storm. She puts up with it, but that doesn't mean she likes it any less.
She walked over to Dean, feeling more at ease with him than she would any other stranger. "So, what's your name, if you don't mind me asking? My name is Sephira." She paused, examining his features for a moment and pulling her hair out of her face yet again, "You live around here?" Her cheeks turned a little red like they normally do when she worked up the courage to talk to others. Although, she was a little stricken by the man for some reason.

OOC::// |D Guyssss, there's this thing we do called Posting Order here on SA. |D As in, the order of people who post the thread? See, first it was Me, then Kyrian. Then when Dean joined, it was Me, Kyrian, then Dean. When Brittany joined, it was Me, Kyrian, Brittany, then Dean. |D So when the posts are all erratic like the last few, it gets harder for other people to post and the thread becomes dead from lack of interest- because the thread got all confusing. |D
I don't really know what to have Kitten do now though, so can we go ahead and skip my turn and go on to Kyrian's? |D Sorry, not much muse for this. O.o

(OOC: I'm sorry. D: I didn't mean to ruin it. Guess being bored got the best of me and I didn't pay much attention to the order. I get impatient sometimes...I appologize, I really do. ;_; Please forgive me.)

He sensed a new guard come up in Dean, maybe not shut down but this pretty much made things difficult now. He had really screwed up, did he know? Would he tell others? Would he have to be killed? Ky probably wouldn’t do it unless he was a direct threat, but if he started spreading information surely the guilds would have him taken care of right? Did they have someone in the Police Force as well in case this kind of thing happened? Damn Kyrian was so clueless at times. "Yeeeeah- Got in a couple hours ago. There's a lot here for such a small town."
“I’m new myself, been here a day or so. He gave another shrug and shook out his hair again, sending more water flying, not like it mattered in the rain though. It had lightened though, but there was no mistake it was raining. He noticed another figure come join the little group, a rather strange one at that. Or well he pegged her question strange. "Um, excuse me. Have any of you, by chance, seen any bats around here? I'm looking for them." She addressed them, and was then answered by Dean. "I'm not sure but if I'd guess I'd say they would be somewere out of the storm. The lightening is getting pretty intense. The bat's would be smart to stay out of it.- I’d be more than willing to help you look," His eyes widened for a second, taking in the appearance and expressions of both Dean and Sephira, analyzing. Why would she want to know about bats? He took his chance and took a few steps back, not quite where he had been before with Kitten but certainly closer to her than the new arrivals. He at least had the shifter connection with her, and she had been real helpful in telling him about Shelpey. He dropped to the ground again, sitting cross- legged and under some of the longer shelter of the limbs. "That would be great, thank you.- So, what's your name, if you don't mind me asking? My name is Sephira.- You live around here?"
I’m Kyrian, and I have no idea about bats around here seeing as I haven’t been here long.” He spoke up half heartedly, even though the question wasn’t directed at him. By the way Dean looked at her it was obvious he was more comfortable speaking with her, same with Sephira when she moved closer to him. He was so out of his element today, his game was off; maybe this just wasn’t his day. He cast a glance at Kitten, of course questioningly. He wanted to shift into a Liger too, figure out more about his new home and whatnot. Why bats?” He asked suddenly, looking at Sephira.
