[scrolly:h(333),w(262),sy] "...here." The sudden change in setting went almost unnoticed by Alex due to the influence of the logic he was under. Instead of being confused, he simply looked around and took in the new surroundings as if they had been there all along and he was just now noticing them. The dream-blue walls seemed to jump distances in his peripheral, one moment a few feet from his outstretched hand, and the next seeming to loom far away beyond his reach. The shadow-cloaked doors remained where they were, however, and the teen regarded them with skepticism.
"Does...Master wish to stay here?" Danny asked, voice shaky. Alex could feel the other boy's embrace around his waist tighten, almost out of fear. A wavering note of anxiety vibrated in the atmosphere, and Alex leaned slightly against his companion. His eyes stared unseeing at the abyssal door, trying to see the sounds that floated out from the darkness. They had an uncanny resemblance to a human-like moan, and yet Alex could detect the bestial growl that laced the beckoning cry. It both called for and frightened him, and unintentionally he took a step closer, trying to make his senses clearer.
"Not really, but..." Alex trailed, regarding the questionable door with curiosity. "What's back there?"

At Alex's question, Danny's face visibly paled, going a creamy chalk white. Almost as soon as Alex had spoken, the door had swung open, revealing another set of blue-walled hallways, cloaked in shadow. Standing at the door, blocking their view, was a grimacing figure.
The man in the doorway was not unusual on his own - he was of average build and stature, with shoulder length, straight hair. What was out of the ordinary, however, was his bare chest - it was gruesomely translucent, allowing a peak of what was forming underneath. It seemed almost like green-tinted plate armor, though much more organic. It was solidifying slowly under the man's skin with a sick cracking noise, as though things were snapping into place. The man stood before them, reaching out through his pain, his face still contorted with agony.
Danny's whimpers, once quiet, had now increased in volume and frequency. Sounds of absolute terror ripped from his throat, and his embrace suddenly became fearful clinging. The raven-haired teen was shaking badly. "Master," he managed to spit it out in a fear-strangled voice. "W-we can run if you want."
The phrase was not so much a suggestion as it was a plea - Danny was silently begging his beloved Alex to please move. Do anything to get away. Please please please. The taller boy shut his eyes with another frightened whimper, trying to ignore the slow, shuffling footsteps and inhuman moans of the transforming man.
((Hello, and welcome to my dreams. This one ended with me flying out on a broomstick and dropping green apple candies to people on a bridge.))

[scrolly:h(333),w(262),sy] Alex's face froze in shock as the door swung open to reveal the creature that lurked behind it. He took back the step from earlier and felt his breath choke in his throat, lungs grasping for a deep breath of air. The abomination made him want to scream- the high-pitched, shriek that pierces horror scenes, for this certainly fell under that category, but he couldn't will his body to react. As the man-beast lumbered slowly forward, feet dragging and scuffing along the ground, Alex felt Danny clutch him closer, his own voice barely above a strangled whisper.
"Good plan," the brunette agreed, feeling his stomach churn as the exoskeleton of the man burst through skin and hardened, cracking like iridescent bone across his chest. "Lets get out of-"
Before he could finish his sentence the man had crossed the space between them and was breathing his ragged moans down the pair's necks. Alex's skin prickled and he returned Danny's clinging embrace, feeling his voice finally cry out in fear. He closed his eyes and felt the warm breath melting away, and when he finally dared to take a peek, he found that his surroundings had once again changed and the entire mood had changed.
He opened both eyes and took in the never-ending expanse of glittering azure waves, the white capped waves crashing against the barnacled wood of the creaking ship as it splashed and plunged across the water's surface, wind skimming in its sails and blowing the white canvases up into air-filled balloons. Alex reached a hand up to instinctively clutch at his plumed hat, keeping it firmly on his wind-tossed hair as the ship took another dive against the churning water.
"Danny!" He called, face bright with the excitement on the air. "Look at this!"

Standing lower on deck was Danny, clad in an open-necked off-white shirt as he hoisted ropes downward. His hair was tied in a bandanna and he wore high, clunking books, but the iron collar still encircled his slender neck. Gone was the previous terror - beneath the sheen of sweat, a vibrant smile glowed. It was almost as though he had been working on the ship the entire day, and the previous escapade hadn't even happened.
"Aye, captain!" he called, securing the thick ropes on a extended peg. He quickly made his way over to Alex, heavy boots making loud thumps with every step he took. The groaning from below deck seemed to condense into nearly-coherent curses, but Danny paid them no mind. Instead, he sidled up next to his captain, a confident, much more wicked smirk gracing his face.
Near-golden eyes scanned the churning waves, crinkling at the corners as the teen smiled genuinely. The sunlight bounced off the cerulean ripples and curves, hitting the male's pale skin. "Is there something the captain wanted me to see?" asked Danny, tone friendly but mocking. "All I see is water and waves." He flashed the other boy a teasing grin, though his eyes were filled with joviality and warmth.

[scrolly:h(333),w(262),sy] Alex turned his beaming face from the oceanspray to glance at Danny as he joined him at the bow of the ship. "Is there something the captain wanted me to see? All I see is water and waves," Danny teased, causing Alex to laugh and shake his head good-naturedly.
"Out there, I mean." He stated, pointing out towards the horizon where a wisp of smoke was rising off the top of a mountain. The island it was on was just appearing over the line of water, but it was quickly growing larger as the ship drew nearer. Tropical-like trees dotted the base of the mountain, then dropped away as the rocky crags soared high into the sky, their reaching fingertips clawing at the tendrils of plume and ash that escaped into the bright sky. Occasionally, a small explosion of lava would spray up and come simmering down, their burning embers leaving scar-trails in the sky after their descent. Alex regarded the sight with a sense of admiration. "That's our volcano." He said and turned his shining eyes away from their destination, motioning the entire ship in a grand sweep of his arm. "Set her course straight and fair, and we'll have our treasure in no time!"

A confident smirk lit up Danny's face, very different from any before it. "Oi, get your hands a-working! We're almost there!" called the raven haired male out over the deck, despite the fact the crew was mostly below deck. He didn't seem to be phased in the slightest, and merely pushed back his freely blowing hair.
"So, Master, what do you intend to do with the treasure once we manage to get it?" Danny asked, grin still present. His tone was still friendly and teasing, but one thing stuck out -- he had said master again. The raven haired boy either didn't notice or didn't care, because he didn't bother to correct it. Instead, he busied himself with a menial task; fixing ropes, checking the rigging, things that honestly didn't need to be done on Alex's perfect ship.
((Lame post is lame, but I forgot where the dream was going.))

[scrolly:h(333),w(262),sy] "We'll spend it on fancy capes and jet packs and- wait, what? Did you just call me 'master'?" Alex turned a quizzical face to his first-mate and adjusted his hat. "I'm your CAPTAIN, not your Master. There's a huge differ-OOF!"
Alex was jolted back around as the ship suddenly hit land and send him stumbling forward, black boots hitting the wooden deck. He was caught just before his face hit the floor, and he glanced up with a sheepish grin to Danny, who had caught him just in time.
"Thankye," he chuckled, blowing his hat's feather out of his face. "It seems we've hit land."

"It seems we have, master," purred the raven-haired teen, smirking sardonically. The previous first-mate was now lounging lazily upon a gigantic brown and black pillow, situated strangely in the middle of a circle that was fenced off with gorgeous dark wood railings, much like that you would find on the side of a grand staircase. Speaking of which, their was a stair case of the same wood, spiraling down to a room below. The room the pair was in themselves had a high, arching ceiling, with blurry ceiling art and roof bosses, and everything was a warm color.
Danny continued to smirk, flipping through the sheet music in front of him. It was title "Du Morte," strangely. "So, master, what makes you think that you are good enough to be at this school?" Despite his use of words, the collared male sounded derisive and condescending, and all around unpleasant. His hard gold-brown eyes turned to Alex, and he grinned a hostile smile. "You're not exactly top class material."
Should Alex examine himself, he would find that he was clad in dark green velvet, and black pants.

[scrolly:h(333),w(262),sy] Alex scoffed, turning his nose up in anger. "I am MORE than good enough for your little school. In fact, while you sit here practicing magic tricks, I have the potential to go out and wreak havoc on the town. I need to learn to HONE my magic, and that's the reason I'm here." The teen glowered at his smirking judge, reaching a hand into his pocket and pulling out a gold coin from the depths of his forest-green robes. Holding it up between two slender fingers, Alex examined both sides of the coin as he spoke. "Apparently your institution is well-known for teaching even the most difficult students how to control their abilities." He flipped the coin into the air towards Danny, the spinning object bursting into flames that left a trail of glowing embers in the air. A foot before it hit the floor at Danny's feet, the flames snuffed out on their own and revealed, in place of the coin, a solitary black raven's feather that floated gently down to settle on the pillow beside the teen. Alex returned his hand to his pocket and watched the other male. "So; what can you do for me?"

"We can do anything for you, master," said the teen, gazing coolly at the feather, "considering how foolish and wasteful you are. Cute magic trick, but we won't tolerate such a flamboyant waste of magic here. I am deeply unimpressed, especially with your lack of self control." Sweeping the feather and the music sheets up into a neat pile, Danny gathered them in his hands and stood. He was dressed in dark, yet oddly elegant clothing; he wore a dark purple long sleeved shirt with a silken black vest, and equally dark pants. Still clasped around his neck, however, was the shiny metal colllar.
"Honestly, master, I am loathe to admit you. Your attitude speaks volumes about how dreadful you are." Danny's voice was about as condescending and self-important as possible, and his normal smile was replaced with a smug, holier-than-thou grin. "I think that before we even BEGIN to consider you for admission...you should complete a task."
Looking up from the papers with a cold golden stare, the older teen offered Alex a somewhat softer smirk. "Seem fair? One of YOUR caliber should have no issue." From the tone of his voice, it was clearly not a compliment.
